    The factory wrap means nothing to me if the bag is in excellent condition. I have had factory wrapped bags with weird defects, so I’d rather keep what I know looks good already in my hand.

      I can totally appreciate that. It is def a risk my sending the bag back and getting a defective one. We’ll see. Hopefully the replacement will be here soon. It would’ve bothered me if I kept it knowing it was prob a return (which would’ve been ok if they just took more care in repackaging it). I’ll post an update when I get it .. fingers crossed 🤞🏽

    When you get gift package, they remove all the factory wrap. I feel your pain and I’m right there with you. However, if it’s in excellent condition I would just keep it.

      So I already sent it back 🫣! Coach will send a replacement and the rep said it will come directly from the warehouse with wrapping (mine was shipped from a store). We’ll see. This bag is stunning .. like stunning stunning so hopefully it’s right when I get it. Thank you for telling me about the gift wrapping - I will definitely not choose that option in the future.       Ugh! I feel your frustration! I bought a pair of Gucci sandals from Nordstrom, and they were thrown in the box. I immediately returned them! I'm glad you're getting a replacement!

      Actually no they don't. I worked for Coach for 4 years. This bag was clearly a return. Gift wrapped means it's packaged with a branding ribbon, higher quality box, etc. Some locations will add a shopping bag as well. Here is another video of a buyer opening her "gift wrapped" bag. You Will notice the handles are all individually wrapped, etc.

    I do get what you mean. But I sell coach bags in a store and we have to remove the plastic packaging. Most luxury brands don’t give factory packaging to customers! If this was a return the environmental impact to repackage every return is hugee! If the bag is in perfect condition why would you sent it back to buy another one just to throw the plastic rapping away? 😅 I know it didn’t match up your expectations but I think coach did really well in the way they packaged this bag. They already provided a dustbag for protection!

      I truly appreciate your point of view and your candor. I think a part of the experience, particularly with Coach, is the fun of unwrapping your handbag. That was a standard the brand imposed way back in the day so as a customer, I’m expecting that same practice. If my prior experiences with coach didn’t include receiving a factory wrapped bag, then I wouldn’t be expecting it. You’re right, other luxury houses don’t provide factory wrapping but they never did. I think that’s the rub. But these houses will package your handbag, especially the delicate leather ones, in a way that ensures your bag is protected beyond supplying a dust bag (like wrapping the chain straps to ensure they don’t rub against the handbag during transit and ensuring the bag is properly stuffed on the inside to keep the integrity of the bag’s shape). Unfortunately that didn’t happen here. But again, I truly appreciate your honest feedback and providing context.

    I definitely understand your disappointment in the packaging experience. However, after seeing so many You tubers unbox bags that end up having flaws and need return, if the bag was perfect I’d probably have kept it. Hope the next one you get is great!

      Yeh you’re probably right. I was so taken aback that I called Coach right after I finished filming and initiated the return.     This is only one I’ve seen that I would actually get. I love the size and the black on black.
    But I do understand that when I buy new, I do want all the bells and whistles. Preloved, I expect to get what I get.
    And 750 is still not cheap. Coach is slowly creeping up there in price

    I totally am with you on it being a return. If I order online, I want new new. The person that purchased it prior sent it back that way. You can tell they didn’t use it though. It’s beautiful. I agree with sending it back. I still loved this unboxing because it was a real reaction!!!

    I understand that Coach probably gets a lot of returns but they should have some quality control process that re-enters the bags into sales status where they repackage to factory packing for those customers who expect the same level of service. So sorry you experienced that. ESPECIALLY at that price point!!!!! 😢

      GIRL!! I totally agree - They need to fix the returns/shipping/inspection process. Like why isn’t that just their practice already?? Anyway .. I sent it back yesterday and I’m waiting on the replacement. I’m hopeful it’ll be ok!

    I know, it's a sinking feeling. I'm sorry, Danette. 😢 Your anger is justified. You paid for a luxury experience. Coach was SO careless sending it out like that! The up side is, the bag is gorgeous & must have been a return for something as benign as it not being the size they expected. Since she's pristine, I would keep her, but that's just me.❤🏡🌻(No need to apologize! We lived it with you.🤗)

    Just because you get the factory packaging doesn’t mean the bag will be as perfect. They remove it when you ask for gift packaging. I would keep it. My 26 size came in factory packaging and one had a lot of wrinkling and the other the zipper was bad inside.

      Thank you Heather! It’s odd because I’ve had gift wrapping before (not often) where the bag still arrived protected. But I def won’t ask for gift wrapping in the future just to be safe. It’s a beautiful bag for sure, I just wish they took more care when shipping it (minimally wrap the handles and stuff the inside). It was just a bit of a bummer. I appreciate you watching my friend!       Very true ! I’ve had factory packaging and checked before I drove off and there were marks on my bag .. went back let them know they replaced it (which the bag still at the counter) next one same thing .. the last one was perfect .. all of them had factory packaging

    Firstly, that orange is beautiful on you🙂🧡. Next, I completely understand your frustration, and rightfully so. I once received a bag with no wrapping or tags and was just thrown in a box, and the bag was $1600+. Hopefully, the next bag will be packaged the way we are accustomed. Tfs❤

I don’t mind getting a returned bag as long as I can’t tell it’s a return! Like repackage it please!?! I know you were hot when you spent $1,600! That’s unacceptable!       The bag is stunning! The leather feels amazing and is just as good (although I’d argue is even better) as the other luxury houses. I have plans for this bag! Lol! I sent it back yesterday so hopefully my replacement will be here soon. I’ll def provide an update once I get it. Please lmk if you end up getting this, as well.

    I watched the unboxing yesterday but reserved comments until I thought about how you were feeling in the moment more. I could see how visible upset you were about the item not being factory wrapped but you kept mentioning how beautiful it was with no imperfections! I’m a stickler for packaging too but your bag was gift wrapped and they do take the factory wrapping off. Listen, I much rather have a perfect bag than perfectly wrapped item that turns out to be defective. Not once did you say that bag was defective in any way. I hope the replacement bag is on par with the bag you had or better! In the future I think we should inquire if the factory wrapping will be removed if the item is gift wrapped. I look forward to the update. TFS 😊🖤

      I truly appreciate that! I think I was taken aback because there was no wrapping on it at all. I think I would’ve been ok if the chains were wrapped and the bag was stuffed on the inside. Just a sign of some sibilance of care especially for such a delicate leather. It was a bummer for sure. For me, which may sound silly to some/most, I enjoy handbags for both the item and the experience. If my experience is challenged, I don’t feel good about the item itself.     I've returned 2 bags from the coach website precisely for the same reason not wrapped but also some scratches on the hardware.The only thing that was perfectly wrapped was a wallet. I decided to go another route. I was so disappointed with their lack of inspection before sending out a bag.
    I had better luck with Dillard's website. believe it or not, lol. 😂

    I agree with you. I purchased the denim 26 twice and there was no factory wrapping and the bag looked smashed. I just gave up on that. I have the 26 in black with gold hardware and I love it. I was hoping to add the black on black that you just unboxed but I would be so disappointed if mine came like yours. Girl send it back. At that price range we are paying for the full experience. 💐

    For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

    I ordered the exact bag and returned it as the size was too big for me and there was a scratch on the leather in the middle of the front "C". I was in store recently, and the SA said black on black in the 26 is coming soon. I'm on the list for when it arrives. I agree, I like all the packaging when purchasing brand new from Coach.

I can relate to the hassle and inconvenience of having to return, when it shouldn’t be necessary! Coach must do better, to ensure that QUALITY does not suffer with the explosive growth in popularity and demand!     I agree with you regarding the factory wrap. I want to pull off plastic & remove paper stuffing. When my packages come like that. I feel, it’s a return. That bag reminds me of the Saint

    I am with you. Should have been packaged properly. Gorgeous bag. Would you say that’s softer than the smaller version? I bought the quilted wallet in red at Macy’s and I was disappointed.

      I know, right!?! I think the black is much softer than the colors. I think my chalk 26 feels pretty great but it doesn’t compare to the black. I think the colored bags have to be treated too much so it takes away from the suppleness?? The red is so saturated and looks beautiful online - I hate to hear that it’s not soft in person. Do you think you’ll exchange it?

    That is such a shame that they didn't package it properly. I am so sorry you didn't get that experience. I have the size 20 and I love it. The first day I wore it out I got a compliment. Again, I am so sorry you were denied that experience......shame on Coach. She is a big girl.......

    I agree 100%. I personally don't want someone else's toss backs. Not to mention, you pay the same price as the first person, so you deserve the same quality and experience. Pretty bag, but a major fail on Coach for not repacking the bag like it was as NEW. Once it's a return bag, it's kind of "pre-owned" if you want to be technical. A pre-owned bag is usually less expensive AND lacks the proper chain protection, clasp protection, etc. I too would send it back.

      Totally!! It was def a bit of a let down (esp when the other bags I’ve gotten from Coach were fully wrapped and protected). I truly wish Coach would’ve taken more care in repackaging the handbag - like wrapping the chain straps (as you said), stuffing the inside and ensuring there was protection around the bag. I don’t even mind getting a returned bag as long as I can’t tell it was returned! It takes away from the customer experience for sure. Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback!

    OMG!! When I say I totally understand your disappointment, I received my Quilted Tabby 26 purse without a dustbag, and I was livid. I called customer service immediately to express my disappointment and they issued a discount BUT just like you said it truly takes away from the experience.

      The quilted tabby line is amazing! I have the 26 in chalk and denim and love them! I don’t have anything negative to say about the handbag itself - the lack of care with the packaging is frustrating!     OK, for those saying it came that way due to her ordering "Gift Wrapped" is incorrect. Gift wrapped has tissue paper in bag, branding ribbon and upgraded box. Its packaged to give as a gift. It does NOT mean they remove all the protection from the bag chain/straps, etc. Here is another video of someone opening their "Gift Wrapped" Coach bag. Pay attention to the ribbon, tissue paper etc. That is gift wrapped. Also, notice her bag handles all have the protective coverings. This is because its a new bag. Protective coverings are in place to protect the bag during shipping. EVERY new Coach bag.... that isn’t a floor bag (used for display for customers to touch, try on, etc) or a return will have the protective coverings. Bags that are used for display or returned, as usually marked down to reflect that others have wore them, handled them and lacking protective coverings, etc. Please take a moment and watch this video of another opening her NEW Coach bag. You will notice hers is gift wrapped AND has protective covers on handles/straps, etc.

    Yeah this is part of the reason I did a giveaway with the denim Cassie vs returning because I know how upsetting it can be to pay full price for a used or unwrapped bag. I know they aren’t ever going to run it back to the factory to rewrap and the customer can’t really experience the bag and see if we like it until we take all of the stuff off 😂 it is great that at least the condition is perfect on it

      Yes they do! I wish people would stop saying this. I worked for Coach for years. Her bag probably came from a store, where it was a return. All NEW bags, gift wrapped or not come with their handles, chains, etc with a protective covering. Gift wrapped means the box has a brand ribbon, the box is higher end and some locations will add a shopping bag as well. It's packaged to give as a gift to someone. Missing the protective coverings means it was purchased and returned or used in store as a shelf bag. Where people touch, try on, etc. Gift wrapped bags are NOT lacking protective coverings! For example... Here is a video of another person opening her "gift wrapped" bag. Notice her bags has all the straps covered to protect them during shipping.

    This was me last night. I wanted a lonnnng time to receive Coach Tabby 26 in Moss green which is only being offered through Neiman Marcus. So exactly what happen to you it was an obvious return and dented on the front. My heart dropped. I wrote on the return that I should not have to settle for second best at this price point. I hope you get to recreate the experience when you receive the new bag.

    I really like that bag in that size and color. I like that it’s big enough to fit all of my stuff. The only thing that keeps me from buying it is that it doesn’t have any feet. I think a bag that size/shape should have feet.
    I purchased a Rogue colorblock bag in store when it first came out. It’s wine and camel color, has three different straps/handles(so I can carry hand, shoulder or crossbody), glove leather (I hate pebble leather), and it has feet! I filled it to capacity and then put it on crossbody and someone brushed passed me and the clip opened and the bag almost fell! 😮 I took off the crossbody strap and I realized that the clip hardware was not as secure as the big tote that I had been carrying. I went back to the store and they assistant manager said let me see what we can do. I waited and after a while they came back and said that I could purchase a piano strap to use while I’m waiting for them to repair my strap. The piano strap was fabric and my crossbody strap is leather, but I agreed to purchase it. After I swiped my bankcard their computer froze. At this point I am beyond annoyed and ready to go. (It’s already been over 30 minutes) I l’m standing watching the employees go from register to each of the handheld electronic pads and they could not find a record of my transaction. They said we can’t give you a receipt because there isn’t any record of the transaction. I pulled up my bank account and showed that the amount was pending in my account. The manager said, “I don’t know what to do!”, and I said, “You have the money and all of my information and I don’t need a receipt, if there’s any problem you can call me tomorrow and we can straighten it out. By this time my family and I have been in this store for almost 2 hours! The manager then had the nerve to say, “I will let you take the strap and I hope everything works out.” I felt the heat rise in my body but I calmly said, “Let me get this straight, you’re going to LET me leave the store with the strap that I PAID $108 for after I had to bring my brand new bag back after only having it for two days because of a defect in the workmanship on a bag that I paid almost $1,000 for?” I said, “I’ll tell you what I’m going to do, I’m going to give you this strap back and you can give me a refund and I’ll just wait patiently for the repair shop to fix the other strap that I already paid for from my bag that I have only had for two days!” I didn’t yell or curse anyone out like I was tempted to do and 2 hours and 45 minutes later I left the store with the work order for the leather strap! The manager called me the next day and apologized for the problem and said that the finance department found the transaction 🤬 and that they would issue the refund immediately. I didn’t answer any of their calls, and I ignore their emails about new releases. I finally got the strap back about 2-3 weeks later and it is exactly the same! 😮 I definitely think twice about purchasing from Coach. If you made it this far, thank you for letting me rant!! 💐🤦🏾‍♀️👜

    Beautiful bag it really fits a lot! I'd be tempted on it if they came out with more colors in that size. I have to agree with you it always bums me out too when they send such a delicate bag without proper packaging. They often just don't bother gift wrapping my orders at all. I usually end up going in store if I can because I get better service than online.

    Yes, it appears to be a return. I have asked for the gift wrapping at times, and I know sometimes they have taken some of the wrapping off, but there was at least packaging on the chain and inside.     Hi Denna, sorry if I misspelled your name. After budgeting and saving I finally order the Quilted Tabby 33 from Neiman Marcus last week Saturday as they one in stock. I received the delivery today and boy was I shocked! The bag was in its dust bag, in the box with no plastic. The chained were NOT factory wrapped, and had one little square paper in the front pocket area! Plus it was smashed in the back and had scratched on the bag! When I tell you I couldn’t call NM fast enough to tell them about themselves for sending me such garbage! So I promptly packaged that bag right on up and it will be at FedEx tonight! So yes packaging matters! I was so disappointed. I probably would have kept the bag if it was in new condition but this bag looked like it had been through some things. So unacceptable and disappointing! I’ll wait for COACH to restock and try again. Just wanted to share my story with you. 😊❤

    Baby I feel your pain. Six weeks ago I ordered a black Dakota bucket, large, on sale. When I got it the box was torn, no packaging, no dust bag, nothing inside but one strap, the other loose in the box. I returned it with a scathing letter. Hope you returned and let them know how upsetting it is…for the price, really? The second one I got was BRAND NEW. Then when they sent an email asking my opinion, I laid it out again. I received an email with a 25.00 gift card. Really gun shy now.

The chain should have at least been wrapped & bag stuffed to keep the bag perfectly presentable and not dented/smashed. It doesn’t take much to make dents in these soft/quilted leather bags. Luckily, yours appeared to be in great condition. If you’re still going to return, go in store and request the new one, otherwise, there is no guarantee the next will be fully packaged either. If it’s any consolation, the bag is gorgeous, practical, and fitting the iPad is a definite plus! 😊

      Girl this is a beautiful handbag!!! I was so frustrated with the unboxing that I called Coach right after I stopped filming! So they’re processing the exchange (already sent it back 🫣). I just wish they took better care wrapping it up. Like it only takes a second to wrap the handles and stuff the bag! Fingers crossed the replacement is ok cuz you’re totally right that there’s no guarantee another one will be better. We’ll see 🤞🏽! Did I say this is a beautiful bag!! lol lol

    I'm sorry you didn't get the experience you wanted. That bag is on my wishlist, I was thinking of going into the store even though its not close to me because I want to make sure its looks good. I agree an expensive bag should be treated a little better when sending it out to a customer.

    Ah man! I'm sorry it wasn't packaged right. I do agree with you on that. I only have one bag that is is a front or flap opening bag. I don't like them. I don't know why, but I don't like that style of bag. They are very pretty though.😊

    Coach packaging via postal mail is ALWAYS trash they got me too girl. I ordered the black Coach heart bag and pink cardholder, my package was ripped and my bag was in a wrinkled plastic bag with little to no filler 🤬 Coach do better!

    Definitely exchange for factory wrap. Some people wouldn’t care. I’m like you. I’m going to be doing a Gucci TH-cam unboxing shortly and my SA knows to always leave all the packaging on. I don’t want her or anyone else to even open it to just throw it in a dust bag lol.

    Ugg, I hate when this happens. I've seen this happen to a number of people in their unboxing videos. I'm not sure why Coach does this; hopefully, they can get it together in their quality assurance department. I love this bag and wanted to get it for myself. I think the bag is so sexy too.     Coach know they dead wrong for that! A $700+ bag full price that is not brand new is absurd. I notice now when stock is low they send out whatever they have including returns and floor models which is ridiculous if people are paying full price.

    It's definitely a beautiful bag, but you didn't pick it up from a yard sale. You ordered it directly from Coach. Unless Coach intends to provide you a discount for accepting someone else's reject, I'm totally on board with you sending it back.
