Joe is out of this world on the steel. His passion and heart felt feelings through his hands, knee, and feet make him heads above all steel players. And there are great ones out there, but Mr. Wright is heads above the rest. And Sarah J. is great.
I have always believed in giving rose's when and where they are do... not after the person has left this world and gone on to their eternal home. Joe , you don't deserve just a rose, you've earned the whole rose garden. I don't have words to describe how beautiful your playing is . I listen any chance I get. Your playing is out of this world. Thank you and may GOD keep you safe in the palm of his hand. Love you and your playing Don Conrad
Joe..... I've told you this before, but repeating won't hurt. I met you at Chubby s 20 yrs ago Came over with Mike a few times. (Sigler) I took my ole lady out there and she loved you. I even bought 2 rock CD's of your's. You play so gracefully , gotta wipe the tears from the blessing l get hearing you play. I get lost for words when it comes to complimenting you. I'm sure God has a steel made of pure gold awaiting your arrival. He's probably got one in the corner somewhere made out of rusty old barb wire fence waiting for me ! Just wanted to say hey again, hope you don't mind. I pray God keeps you safe and well an if you're ever playing in Ohio, wish you could let me know. Rattled too long Joe . I'll say buy for now, l love you Joe Wright.... your buddy.... Donnie Conrad
As a student of the Pedal Steel, I am privilaged to know Joe Wright personally (as I'm sure alot of you do) and consider him a good friend. He is most DEFINATELY a master showman and Steel Guitarist....And I might add...one heck of an instructor. Superbly done Joe.
Wow, what a beautiful rendition; I think this would make an excellent lesson for a beginner steeler; not too fast (mostly). I wonder if you could get Joe to make a lesson video for this ???
I'm new to this style of music, this is soo friggin beautiful. The harmonies Joe eeks out of his steel is wonderous to the uninitiated, like me... so glad to find a new rabbit hole to jump down... great stuff......
Hi... Glad you enjoyed Joe's playing. Joe has played in Japan & Ireland..no shows for the U.K. But if there was a steel show there & he was invited ... He'd be there too. Thx...Connie Wright
When Buddy Emmons could not play at the "Steel Guitar Extravaganza" show in Atlanta ('97 and '98), I invited Joe to be the "Star" that would play and END the show. Yea, the man that would dazzle them with footwork and of course hand work! He did NOT let me down. For he brought the house down in a "Grand Finale" of extravaganza, extraordinaire! I shall eternally be greatful to Joe for his graciousness in rescuing what would have surely been a dud. May Jesus richly bless him always, carl dixon.
