Love my pwr 100 as well. I’ve done a few mods but I really like where you have your anchor set up…looks like I’m moving mine off the crate. Thanks for the video and idea
Hey man great video! I'm getting ready to pull the trigger and just wanted your opinion.. I'm over on the west coast and will be doing in-shore fishing around mangrove islands and whatnot, staying inside the barrier islands. Looks like the water and wind were perfectly smooth while you were out there, but do you think a 55lb trolling motor would be enough to cut it when the wind picks up? I'm debating on going with a trolling or picking up a little 2.5 hp outboard. I'd much prefer the trolling as I won't be going long distances, just want to make sure I have the power to get to land if the winds pick up and a storm rolls through. As bulky and high up as this kayak sits (which is why I like it) looks like the wind would push it around pretty easily Thanks!!
Thanks for watching! First how much carrying weight are we talking about and what kind of kayak? 55 LBS Thrust has been great for me so far but I have never really pushed it and I try to travel light and close to shore
@@fishingwithsauce Same kayak, the catch 100, and probably about the same weight. I'm around 180 and it'll just be me, motor + battery, and my fishing gear so sounds like I should be good with the 55. I'll plan to stay pretty close to shore as well, and the occasional trip to a freshwater lake but I'm much less worried about that. Thanks for the reply!
