This is a terrific series of videos , the bike is really starting to take shape now. I admire your ability to be able to fabricate the small spacers and bits and pieces required to keep things moving along. Take care and thanks for sharing your passion 👍👍
Great progress Ian. I've had poor luck with spares recently, both used and pattern. Lots of junk out there. The bike is looking great and I'm pleased that it seems to be moving towards a scrambler theme. Best wishes, Dean.
hi looking very nice, knobbly tyres could this be an indication of what the bike is going to be, perhaps a hornet or a wasp or even cyclone replica the plot thickens, really good videos i'm now intrigued, take care. ps um i wonder.
Hi Ian, Rear wheel, I watched your corresponding video but you don’t say if there is a spacer on the QD side (shows one in the manual). No43?? I didn’t have one on there where I stripped it down! Any ideas please Paul
My rear wheel is a bit of mix and match between 1965 & 1969 parts. The spacers (and some other bits) are different dependant on the year (might be a plain or top hat) you might find that your 'missing' spacer is actually stuck in the brake plate as mine was (see part 18), the important things are, does the chain line up? does the wheel spin freely when tightened?

Hi Ian,
I spoke to dragonfly and they said if it’s an ally brake drum there isn’t a spacer??
I have both spacers for the speedo drive side.
If it's an aluminium drum it won't be QD but full width drum.
@ can I send you some photos??
