Love him or hate him, The Moose is bringing brains over brawn to Strongman and it works!
He is smart but he is also just the strongest
Brain really comes up mostly in training method. In comp, it's 98% brawn
He is simply strong in most places. That's not brains over brawn, that's just strong.
It's 85% that he is stronger than everyone else. 15% that he is smarter

This event you had the perfect camera angle to see both athletes and how close they were to getting the bags over, and then you chose to cut away almost with every throw!
That is actually incredible, it was like a monkey with a dartboard was directing the camera angles.
Glad it's not just me. Absolutely dreadful camera work.
Camera work is always dreadful unfortunately.

Love seeing Maxime perform!
I think Maxime has had a run of injuries slowing him down and we have not seen him near his best. I like Mitch but I want to see Maxime at 100% - GO CANUCKS !!!

Maxime looks like animal from the muppets. 😂 Love the guy.
Mitch Hooper is very meticulous in his training but people are giving that too much credit. He is just strong AF with lots of stamina.
I like seeing an athlete come back after injury with some fire. I want to see a healthy and hungry Maxime coming to win.

The Moose is an educated Strongman. Going to be very hard to beat for a long time. I think you’ll see more competitors adopting his philosophy. 📖📕📗📘📙

Please stop switching camera angles. One angle where we can see both competitors the entire time. And on the replay you can play around with different angles and so on

Why is that event in strongmen competitions?
Cuz fun to watch
judging by the fact many were not strong enough to get the last bag over the bar means it is a good indicator of strength. Having multiple weights and timing the event makes it also a good indicator of stamina and speed.
Because Strongman isn't powerlifting, it's functional events, dynamic application of strength and power.

Bill Kazmeier is the reason these competitions exist in a televised format. He's been the hype and drive all the way along. He might be getting old but he's earned his respect.
