Street food is truly a blessing and super tasty, can’t wait to to get a pad Kra pao and a Chang on vacation this year.
😮 only time I got a upset stomach in years was a Italian restaurant beside pat pong market long ago 😊

I agree, Silom is a great area to stay while in Bangkok. Been there several times and it is my "go to" for Hotels, shopping, eating and just watching people. Thanks for the vlog!

Love Silom and Sathorn. Always stay here on my way to Hua Hin. Patpong is not what it use to be. Shenanigans is a good Irish pub. Also love visiting Lumpini in the mornings and using the outdoor gym.

You haven’t mentioned the names of the streets that you were saying is good for street food.
I think Suan Luang Rama IX park, Benjakitti Park, King Rama IX Park (under construction), Railway Park and Chatuchak Park, Mountain to River park. They are more beautiful than Lumphini Park. But Lumphini Park is the oldest part in Thailand.

May I ask for some advice? I'm not into packing. I prefer to travel lite, breath freshner chewing gum, required daily meds only, $/crdcards/id,passprt, cellph, walking shoes, clothes on my back, no carry on or luggage.
So that going through customs or security is nice & easy. First purchase, change of clothes.
2nd question-5 Star Hotels, not making any pre-reservations, is that a good idea? Thought we'd check it out when we arrive. Whats your thoughts on that?

😮 not stayed there in years it was a bit sleazy and pat pong market But had a great pool place Red Parrot . After covid think its been decimated as many others But thai always make it better if there was a nuke in bkk a market would open ASAP.
back in 2 weeks. May give the area a try again. Ratchada has a great vibe away from bkk more local and cheap towards chatuchak area try looking around there not as easy to move around but different more for your money 😊

I love sathorn and silom but the traffic during rush hours is worse then Sukhumvit. I used bts and mrt when i stayed here but this area is central
