Great video and love that you mentioned the marketing strategy that led to how you came to me my photographer and then friend ❤
Thank you so much Dama!!! It's my fave way to find clients-then-friends 😂
How do you not have a billion followers? Love your stuff Emily! :)
@@ErichMillerTV thank you so much!! So glad it’s helpful!
Thank you so much for creating this video! I’m a new marketing professional and I’ve been looking for more insights related to photography and it was impossible 🥲 So I really needed this. ❤
Super helpful, Emily, thank you! Networking (in person and in local/interest-oriented FB groups) has been my best-performing source of business, followed by a SEO/a high ranking on Google for photographers in my area. Blogging, social media, Pinterest, and emails take SO much effort/usually fall by the wayside, and don't produce much of a return (yet?) but I'm also not (quite) bringing in enough to hire someone to do them for me. What do you recommend when just starting out/when trying to manage all four marketing strategies feels like a full-time job in and of itself?
I’m so glad this was helpful!!
Totally hear you on how it really is a lot of work 😅 I like to have a balance of both: local networking is great because it’s more of a short-term strategy, whereas blogging/Pinterest/SEO is more long-term.
The good thing is a lot of this can overlap: let’s say you write one blog post. You can tweak it and send it as an email or two, and then distill it down into a few social media posts. So you’re doing the heavy lifting once, and then you can use it in other places.
Personally I would focus on blogging/Pinterest and email, especially if you are already ranking well on Google. Does this make sense?
@@emilykimco Yes, 100%. I hadn't thought of networking as a short-term strategy, but that makes sense, too. I guess I need to get blogging! :)
