i loved the clever play that Nate made with the deathrite denying Tyler mana by exiling the same target!
Was that play legal? I would think it's a mana ability, so doesn't use the stack and can't be responded to that way.

That segment where Cam talks about being pressured by Kraum made me remember the tournament (Okotoberfest?) that Brian Coval won - in one of his games he won by killing each opponent individually with Kraum.
Also not sure if it was him or ComedIan who has talked in the past about Kraum being a mirror breaker in these 4c decks because the clock Kraum represents forces the opponent under pressure to start jamming into your other opponents' countermagic.
I think at 7:00 in Cam had a really unique opportunity to win with emergence zone before Dylan got to go to clean up, especially since the other thrasios decks tapped low.
Bolt agent, tutor for phyrexian metamorph and make it a dockside.
Either way super cool game that reminded me a lot of the Okotoberfest finals :)

7:15 while there may have been a misplay from Cam, it wad excellent sequencing from Dylan, who not only stopped the bolt, he killed Cams esper sentinel & stopped him getting the bird while forcing his fierce
This is unrelated- and I dont wanna say I am the reason that Dylan has his face on the saporling token, but I still do fondly remember the multiple games I have played against him on Ghave and having fun with the saporlings. Lol, hope that all is still well. Great video as always guys!
With an abundance of infinite mana sources being what I have seen, as far as most 4c cEDH games, would it be beneficial for there to be more mana sinks? We had the option that occurred this game, but there are others im always curious about. I run Extus, Oriq Overlord as my 3 color commander, and enjoy the benefits they provide being a mana dump in the CZ, but then there are cards like Blue Sun's Zenith, and more that my tired brain can't think of.
Another amazing episode, and I can't wait for the next!

11:00 or so, boseiju lets you get any land with one of the land types, so you can get duals and triomes if you have those
Ther was an opposition agent and also cam has no basics

I know metamorph is 3 with phyrex mana but for 2 mana you can run imposter mech but it can't target your own dockside. Risk reward card options

Was there a better target for the otowara other than the opposition agent? The outcome was the same regardless of if the gilded drake etb went off. Still couldn't cast any spells because of silence. Any other targets that could have stopped cams win attempt?
I’m not sure when Nate got the otawara in hand but maybe channel it to put the dockside back in Dylan’s hand with Cam’s silence on the stack. Dunno what was in everyone’s hand at the time. Great vid though.
Was rooting for the Tymna Thrassios player (I have the same commanders) but seeing everyone is playing either is for me a win.

Awesome game, Just one note, I know that these are not tornament games, but still are Cedh, and you cant reveal The opponents cards to your other opponents, you can Tell them but you cannot reveal, because that would be proof of what you are saying (happened with opposition agent)
Could Tyler have used deflecting swat to redirect Pact at Dylan’s consultation or does that break some rule I don’t know about?
That's what I was thinking too, but I imagine he wanted to make Nate exile a bunch of his library to take him out of the game rather than simply let him consult for a win.

I was about to point this out. Maybe no one noticed it but yeah it IS a mana ability.
Yes Nate can do that! No it is not a mana ability since it requires a target.

at 10:28, why was nate the first to get priority in response to snap? shouldnt it be turn order (so dylan first)?
Priority is active player, non active player. They were on Nate's turn
@@sthjr112358 that doesnt apply here. it should always be the person that casts the spell gets priority first (i.e. they hold priority), then the next person in turn order gets priority. so when someone goes to cast an instant, it should go to the next player in order (cam casting snap, priority passes to dylan).
what you are suggesting is that when cam casts his snap, priority goes to nate then it would go to cam again?
You are right that's not the full explanation. Nate had an esper sentinel trigger on the snap.
Ah yes I missed that trigger (and so did they unless they just forgot to edit it in). In this instance you are correct. Though it seems they missed that esper sentinel trigger (or just forgot to edit it in), or they dont play as if the trigger happened. because you see after boseiju resolves dylan says "snap is back on the stack. nate you're first". So if esper sentinel was still on the stack, this is all still correct. otherwise dylan should be first, right?
I think (and i'm not sure here) that once a spell or ability resolves (the boseiju) priority resets to active player. Dylan passed the first time priority came to him thinking nate had something better. Also that esper trigger was forgotten.

@@PlaytoWinMTG I did miss that Drake died from not having its target but either way it would've been removed for Cam. I would've waited for something else to hit Cam's board since he has creature combos in his deck to hit at a moment where he would've tried to win. Although, now I see why the play was made after rewatching and it wasn't too strange of a play. Hindsight is 20/20 after all
Just want to point out that since deathrites ability is a mana ability, nate couldn't have exiled the land in response because you cannot respond to mana abilities.
