Did you get the speedometer and cruise control fixed? How difficult/expensive was it? I'm looking at picking up a 98 GL1500 this week and it has the same issue.

Hi Charles!! It’s a 33 dollar part and takes about an hour to replace. That is if you don’t drop the speedo screw into the wheel well and fight all evening to get it out. 😅🤣

What do you have against semis
Nothing? They have LOTS more blind spots than regular vehicles. Only doing one thing with semis while on the bike…. looking out for my own safety!
Just don’t like to be around them on a bike! Too much can go wrong. Tires can blow, debris can fall off or get kicked up and fly out the side or back. They create weird drafts and unpredictable wind gusts! Get around them fast and don’t stop fast in front of them!

Just for navigation? I wouldn’t buy a phone for just that. Grab an older Garmin GPS! Unless you plan to use it for emergencies as well. I personally have an iPhone but I don’t think it’s needed if you’re only needing a GPS. Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
