I am blown away (no pun intended) by this AMC.. I just found my new favorite car of all time. Being a Mopar owner of a 71 Roadrunner I’m loving the fact of the Hellcat transplant.. 👍🏼
I bought a 1972 javelin in 1976 from a guy from Pennsylvania and I could already see though the floorboards. I loved it and everyone I knew loved it. I put some 10” tires on the back and 7” on the front on flowered mages. I had the A frames stretched so the front end would sit up a little higher because I had to put air shocks on the back to keep the tires from getting ate up by the fenders. I think all of the wheels in those days were 14” or smaller on most cars.
Excellent design work - definitely should be put into production. Great original design updated magnificently!. Always been a fan of AMC outstanding designs. Hornet and Hornet Sportabout could very much hold their own with a similar make over.
I have a soft spot being from Racine WI and AMC was being built one city over in Kenosha, WI...and I remembered the year they closed shop....it was like the world ended. I have owned a few AMC's and 2 AMX's, 70, and 71 restored basically to stock. This by far is the nicest beast of an AMX I have ever seen or read about. To date this AMX is still my favorite Ringbrothers master piece...and with the stretched front end is how the car should have come from the factory.
Do not understand anyone think it was ugly ... I had a stock 73 AMX with 360 ... all liked the shape and I blew away stock Camaros SS and Z28 with 327 and 350's . and a few others
@@wadeguidry6675 back in the day when those were built you could have side pipes or regular .. but they were both Thrush mufflers. That was AMC performance mufflers of choice from factory.
@@FrankStein1 I've never seen side pipes on a javelin. Are you sure about that? Is there any documentation? I'd love to get something like that for my 73 javelin.

We had a 73 AMX, I don’t think that’s an AMX, that’s the SST I believe. The AMX had the 4 individual tail lights and it was a beautiful car, none the less this car has been done perfectly.
We all build what we like personally that's what makes hot rodding so cool I respect others builds and like to see different ones personified to the owners likes

@@nicolaysbunny1851 I had 2 GTI's previously always STICK, great stuff, golf r is quite a bit better than the 2wd GTI, and it has noticeable more KICK...when you look at what 4 cyl are doing now smooth, powerful, reliable, etc etc, what these things from the 60's and 70's with big gas guzzling V8's, couldn't do, cars have come a long long way BETTER. Brakes, handling, paint everything is much improved...but for Nostalgia, I guess people like em, but ..as EV's start moving more and more mainstream, this stuff will be the model t's, no one will care about em, they will be prehistoric..gonna take lot more years though
@@cengeb I drove my little brothers Tesla Model 3 Performance for over 600km over the holidays and I gotta say, that thing really impressed me! Of course it's quiet and boring because of it, at least that was my first thoughts, but it has 500hp and 4wd, and with EV torque it does 0-62mph/0-100kph in 3,4 seconds! Thats Lamborghini fast, and it feels bonkers when u floor it, even without sound! I would however prefer the sound you can get in a Porsche Taycan, you heard it? Its like a combination between a kinda deep rumble and star wars lazers, it sounds great! Never in a million years would I think I would be impressed with an EV, at least not find it exciting, but I guess we are allready in the future lol

My Stepfather almost bought one while in Germany ,the broshure he brought home got my blood runnning at 13 ,it was a Gorgeous Maroon with black stripes if I remember correctly,wish he would have bought it,

The 71 Fords for example, had the gorgeous long hood, as this they made the front 6 inches longer. MY POINT IS MY 4 speed Mustang Convert ! CJ 4 SPEED , WAS NO GOOD TO ME as your view is compromised. That hood was dangerous. So when you talk about how beautiful they were, but that beauty was Trumped by the hood. It's always nice to see where you are going..
Any1 got the color code (farbnummer) of the japolin gold/ Austin yellow? They told Jay Leno it’s the new m3/m4 yellow color. Couldn’t find it anywhere. (BTW I just want it for the Schyster Deviant in GTA V ) 😅

I knew a guy who drove an AMX Javelin mated to a Pontiac Firebird nose, sitting on a Jimmy 4X4 frame with a 454 v8. Jet black, everything. Wild.
That's hell of a ride. But, half a million is more than slightly above my budget at this point of time.😄

The front end looks like a 73 Cuda. The color is beautiful and really appropriate for that vintage.

Yeah, I would have a 6 speed manual insteaf of that automatic sh!t transmission though, but they sure love those automatic gearboxes in the US
