Thanks Sebby. Super helpful video as usual. I’ve booked my Maldives flight but still sorting out which hotel to go with. Would love to do Waldorf if I’m lucky enough to catch standard reward opening up.
Haven’t watched you in a while Seb but just came back to check in and see your thoughts on these offers. Looks like you’re still killing it. Best Cc analysis on TH-cam. Been watching seen 2017!
My first FHR was a year ago at the Ritz Carlton in Singapore, followed by 3 nights at the newest Hilton resort in Maldives (overwater, west facing 1BR villa, got upgraded due to Gold).
Thanks for the update! I'm always looking for elevated offers, and I am definitely a min-maxer when it comes to playing the points game and maximizing the value via premium cabin award bookings. As an aside, though, I feel like using ANA as an example of maximizing point value is a little specious since it is so hard to find business class award availability either through partners (here, aeroplan) or directly through ANA's program. A business class award flight on ANA is a bit like the unicorn of the points game! 😂
Recently booked the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for 29k points per night (December 2024 so high season inflated points and cash prices), the cash price at the time I booked was $1,056 per night!!
🌴 Just got back from Alila Ventana Big Sur and been long time follower of your channel. We are lucky to get a once in a lifetime opportunity to book 2 45k night at Alili Ventana when they open the northern part of Big Sur early on May 22. We really appreciate all the videos you and Mandy posts :).
Got $80k sub $4k spend in 3 months- flyer in the mail, so random I didnt have any chase products only Amex. Just paid myself back with chase prefered - for Airbnb in Florida- had the balance reduced by points within 24 hours. How nice it was to see that $2K airbnb stay- drop by $1400, so got a nice crib with hot tub, pool and 4 bedrooms, golf cart and 4 bikes in the house for $600 net for 9 days. LOVE IT
🌴 still waiting for good SUBs from Hyatt! I want a good business card offer from them! The executive lounge from Hilton could be better with the diamond status imo
🌴 Would it be a good idea to apply for the Aspire card first? If I already carry the Hilton honors card. Or would it be best to apply for the surpass? Curious so I can continue to be eligible for welcome bonuses and upgrades/downgrades.
🌴. Congrats on 300k. I just Subb'd. Question: what the the standard / non-elevated bonuses on the two Amex Hilton Cards? Do they include the free nights when they are not elevated?
I heard amazing things about Park Hyatt Kyoto. PH Tokyo should be awesome when it reopens. Andaz Tokyo is here if you want a review: th-cam.com/video/0Qpp5uvsZus/w-d-xo.html
🌴 no trips planned and not yet working on a new sub. Debating between citi aa biz and Alaska biz (75k 5k, and 75k 4k). I have ~25k with each program and exclusively travel to S E A (economy keeps getting tougher each time). Which would you pick?
🌴 Currently working on the 75k United explorer business card. I wanted it so I could downgrade the personal card. My first amex card might be the Hilton honors card. Looking to go back to Hawaii. I went with a friend and he had the surpass.
@@AskSebby wait, you guys haven't done much of Hawaii? Oahu has some of everything including fine dining and high end shopping. BIG island great for adventure and exploring and the volcanos. Maui is more aspirational with high end hotels. Oahu still my favorite because I met some great locals there and I like cheap eats
🌴I already have the CSR, Chase Ritz Carlton, and Chase Prime Visa. I just opened the Chase Prime in Dec 2023 and I just upgraded to the Ritz card a few months ago. I’ve had the CSR for several years. Is there anything stopping me from getting the sapphire preferred?
Hi Sebby, after the first year can I freely upgrade and downgrade my surpass to an aspire and vice versa? I was just going to downgrade it to do the $15,000 spend and then upgrade it again a few months later. Or would I have to wait a year again to upgrade it back to the aspire?
You can do it freely. Make sure it's an Aspire card when it's your anniversary, otherwise you'll lose out on a free night. Anniversary does NOT reset with upgrades/downgrades (as of this comment at least).

That Aeroplan pay yourself back strategy is so gas! Might definitely be something to consider later on!
Love your content.

Exec lounges at Hiltons vary, especially US vs International lounges. Huge difference in quality.
I have added an authorized CSR card for my wife, is she still able to apply for this exact card through my referral link? Thanks!
Still raking in points from the INK cards.
Congrats on 300K+ 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
Thanks :) :) :)

Staying in my first hotel collection with my plat card in Europe, and good recommendations for domestic US uses for FHR or hotel collection🌴
Enjoy!
No Bonvoy business love??? 😂😂😂 🌴🌴
Will cover on the business channel!
8k spend is steep

Would probably do Citi given the 48 month clock; better off starting it "sooner" imo.
BUT didnt csp have 100k welcome bonus before?
Sure, feel free to wait around for it to come back.

Downgrade the CSR if it’s 4+ years old to a Freedom. You can get one Sapphire bonus once every 4 yrs.

🌴still learning
🌴 Hmm, considering those Amex Hilton offers... 🤔
Depends on use case, but pretty solid :)
Doesn’t the preferred have an in branch offer right now of 85k?
Yup, covered here in the in-depth video if you don't mind going in-branch for 30 min: th-cam.com/video/wld7mcluVYI/w-d-xo.html
Are these also available for upgrade bonuses?
Nope :(
If I have the surpass can I still get the no annual fee Hilton card and get the intro bonus?
Yes you can! Get now before American Express adds the family language🎉
Yep! No rules on this (for now).
🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴 thanks seb
Hey Sebby
👋
🌴Does anyone recommend the US Bank Infinite card?
Good for an intro bonus. Low upside points but could act as an "all-in-one" option.
