I just finished RDR2, after all these years... I came here to just listen to this because I feel so empty. I really don't know what to say. Man, I miss Arthur so much.
This song does to me what all the other songs from the credits seem to do to other people. I had broken down 80% of the times I'd been listening to it. And I've listened to it a lot... You know a game is a masterpiece when a person that's merely watching someone else play falls in love with the story and characters just as much as the person playing would. Indeed, I wasn't even the one playing. I was watching my husband play. It started out with the occassional glimpse, and ended with me being pretty much glued to the screen every time he would sit down to play; while being worried that I would miss anything if I went out to do a house chore in the meantime instead. Of course I've felt emptiness when it ended. An emptiness that is hard to describe in words. Knowing that this is clearly finalized and I would never see these characters again. As if a series I've been religiously watching for a decade had ended. Only comparable feeling.

This is by far my favourite track. It was the first time I watched the whole ending credits of a video game. I just stood there on my chair not knowing what to do, with that feeling of emptiness that I only get at the end of a great story..
This whole story is tragic once you realize the last surviving member (Jack) ends up going down the exact same dark path that every good character in the story worked to prevent.
Utterly heart-wrenching theme. I think what the game captures so well is the disparity between good and bad. This particular theme reminds of what we had and yet the pain of knowing that it’s gone forever. This is a song for the pain of loss that encompasses life itself.

That and seeing the credits on screen effectively conveyed that feeling of "wow, what a journey" as well as a sadness due to the story being at an end. There's just something about emotional music playing over some credits rolling. It doesn't matter if it's from some movie I never even heard of, when I see something like that, I associate it with emotional nostalgia and a look back and the memories of adventures and good times. Whether that be the memories of the particular movie or game, or in my personal life outside the game. Or both at the same time something like the memories of the first one or games in general or memories with my friends playing this game together or whatever. Music in general is just powerful as shit. That guitar jingle though. It sounds like something I've heard of before. Something that beautifully conveys those emotions that I've just described.
If you guys like this song I strongly suggest you to search Belladona, Daniel Lanois' album from 2005. This masterpiece is from that album and it's simply sublime. All those songs can be part of RDR1 and RDR2. He is a criminally underrated musician and producer (check also Oh Mercy and Time Out Of Mind from Bob Dylan and produced by him and you'll be amazed)
I played through the game twice. First to understand it, then to feel it. After the ending scene on the second playthrough I got that urge to cry like everyone else
Rdr2 is the greatest game of all time, from the amazing protagonist/characters, scenery/landscape, soundtrack, story, and random events. At the beginning of the story Arthur hasn’t forgiven John for disappearing on the gang and continuously gives him a hard time, but by the end he starts to call him “brother” which really hit me. At the beginning Arthur doesn’t even want to go out in the snow looking for John but by the end he’s willing to fend off an entire government agency just so John has a chance of living. Arthur and Jack fishing, and Jack meeting Ross by a river, and then growing up and becoming a gunslinger simply to kill Ross to avenge his Father, which also took place by a river. And the best part is neither knew that they met each other 15 years prior for the first time by a river. I could go on for hours about every detail that puts this game above the rest.
This reminds me of that music you'd hear on those crime shows like Forensic Files. It's got that swirly sorta chorus effect and it's really nice. An odd dose of nostalgia for me.
I cried a lot dude,a lot,even my mother was very worried,asking me why I was crying,by my side,I got a massive headache after that...It was such an awesome experience
This song reminds me of the areas north and west of the rdr2 map, beyond the inpassible mountains. Theres nothing even there but bad textured landscapes, but the game makes me feel as though there are sprawling landscapes and mountains rife beyond the border...

Hits you in the feels because Arthur dies and we all know what happens to John later on in the first game. It's depressing how such a gang could break apart.

This theme just soothes into melincholy once you see the shots of Ross & Archer tracking down John as this theme plays, I found it quite sad.
Drew Russell most of epilogue part 2 made me sad as its very hopeful, and then I remember how the first game goes down and that hope is gone
