I agree and if reactor watch this and didn’t shed a tear or understand, they weren’t really reacting, because no normal person could watch that without feeling the way that I felt if they are human. World War 1, a war fought by empires using Napoleonic tactics with modernized weaponry, part of the reason why the numbers in those battles were just so very high. Always recommend Sabaton music but if you want to watch a video that will make you cry just from the numbers of the dead, "The Fallen of World War II" is an extremely well done video.

This car is closest thing there is to the pale horse that death rode in on. It's the car Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wive Sophie Chotek Duchess Hohenberg bled to death in on June 28th of 1914 in Sarajevo right in the sunshine of "Europe's Last Summer", the event that led to the "War to end all Wars", the Apocalypse of the Old World and the first act of the unprecedented bloodshed of the 20th century. Many peace associations around the world, protesting against war and militaries and claiming that militaries love violence and war. Haven't realized that most soldiers have great empathy and they choose to go out and defend and protect their countrymen against evil soldiers, they are prepared to sacrifice their lives to protect others and these peace movements don't think about this. As in this video talk about and military men then in 1916, as well as those who were former military men and those who have been and are military men. They went into battle to defend their freedom and like many do today. A good example is how Ukraine screams against the dictator Russia, because they want to live in freedom and not under a crazy dictator, who murders and throws people in prison who don't think like him.

As people have stated, this is a cover of a Motörhead song. The bus at the start is a reference to the live album no sleep til Hammersmith by Motörhead The two guys standing in the door opening at 6:12 are Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell, the drummer and the guitarist of Motörhead. The picture is of Lemmy Kilmister, who was the bassist and singer of Motörhead. The guy holding it is Eddie Rocha who was the tour manager of Motörhead and the current one for Sabaton.
I looked at the music videos you've reacted to and discovered that you haven't listened to Sabaton's guitarist Tommy Johansson's cover, which you just have to listen to. I did some researching and found that all the names of the soldiers, knights and Spartans in the end were real people. Many of the soldiers were Medal of Honor, Silver Star, Victoria Cross or Croix de Guerre recipients. The soldier pulling himself out of the mud, at first I thought he was a member of "The Smoking Snakes" (Força Expedicionária Brasileira, FEB, nicknamed Cobras Fumantes), but doing some more research with the patch on his shoulder as well as his helmet, that's Sgt Henry Johnson of the 15th New York National Guard Regiment, aka "The Harlem Hellfighters". Medal of Honor recipient and recipient of French Croix de Guerre avec Palme, France's highest award for valor. The Medal of Honor was awarded to him in 2015. Sgt. Henry Johnson is "one of the five bravest American soldiers in the war." Theodore Roosevelt Jr. in his book "Rank and File: True Stories of the Great War" The Asian soldier with the cocked-hat, that's a Nepalese Gurka named Havildar Gurung (per the credits) who earn the Victoria Cross in the Burma campaign off WWII. Sgt Awal Nur, who did a secret mission over the Himalaya. Lt. Audie Murphy, Sgt. Alvin York are both medal of honor recipients from WWI (York) and WWII (Murphy). I also notice a soldier with the Croix Lorraine on what looks like a French flag arm band, meaning he was a member of the 'Forces françaises libres' forces in WWII. Doing some reading I found out that a large number of French colonial troops from territories such as Chad had joined with the 'Forces françaises libres'. I suspect that soldier is Lt Comba, but I can't find anything on him. As I've been working my way through the names listed in the credits and found another one: Private George Stringer, Manchester, Awarded the Victoria Cross at the Battle of Es Sinn in Mesopotamia. Capt. Dobson, 1st Canadian Infantry Battalion, Killed on 9 July 1916 in Flanders.

I have actually seen this video many of times I have much respect for five finger. Death Punch and I have seen them live. They’re an amazing band. The thing was, it wasn't as though the army was going out and recruiting 16 year old men. Back in that time, they didn't have a way to check if someone was lying about their ages when they enlisted.
I know they were because they were just trying to protect, and they wanted to fight and help. It’s just sad that at such a young age to sacrifice so much very brave young men, which you don’t seem much of nowadays. ❤️🎶🤘🏻

It was seen as a great adventure, a few quick battles and it would be over by Christmas. But as Christmas came and went, and the reality of trench warfare sank in, then people realized that war isn't something that should be treated lightly. I think I may be misunderstanding your comment. Are you meaning that it's sad that men aren't showing that same level of dedication these days?
@@lokiodinson2326 I did not mean dedication because our current military men do show dedication but if we had a draft or really needed young men around my sons age like 23 years old they would not be brave enough to defend us in my opinion, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t feel like we should be going to war at all if not needed because it seems to solve nothing but if we needed to, and it was just the young generation fighting we would be in trouble is all that I was saying. I have an incredible amount of respect for our military and I don’t feel like they get the treatment and courtesy that they deserve.

The youngest on record was 12, I think. I have heard accounts where if parents wrote to the Officers about their kid being under age. I can't imagine being 15-16 and being so board with home life to go volunteer for a "adventure". And to think had the allies not insisted that Germany bear the brunt of the cost of the war. Then maybe just maybe WW2 would never had happened. There where Officers that thought the terms where setting up for 2nd world war. And to think whole towns lost all of the fighting me at the battle of the Somme leaving Widow, and orphans.
War makes no sense, and this one made less sense than most. I bring this up every time...in the words of my high-school history teacher, this war started because "someone nobody had ever heard of killed someone nobody liked over a piece of land nobody wanted."

Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead wrote and recorded it first, which is why you see the Motorhead flag flying in the parade, and the remaining members of that band carrying Lemmy's picture. Considering how hard & heavy Motorhead was known for playing, you should listen to their version. It's a swift kick in the feels. Still, Sabaton more than did it justice, especially with Tina Guo's cello playing during the history lesson. Sabaton don't take sides when they present these tidbits of history. They simply stick to the facts.

The original Motörhead version is even more heart wrenching. It's literally a funeral march, only Lemmy's mourning voice, a church organ and drums.

As people have stated, this is a cover of a Motörhead song. The bus at the start is a reference to the live album no sleep til Hammersmith by Motörhead
The two guys standing in the door opening at 6:12 are Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell, the drummer and the guitarist of Motörhead. The picture is of Lemmy Kilmister, who was the bassist and singer of Motörhead. The guy holding it is Eddie Rocha who was the tour manager of Motörhead and the current one for Sabaton.

I looked at the music videos you've reacted to and discovered that you haven't listened to Sabaton's guitarist Tommy Johansson's cover, which you just have to listen to. Because he makes these into his own rockier versions and elevates the songs.
A little about Tommy: Tommy "ReinXeed" Johansson, born October 26, 1987 in Boden, is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer and music producer, best known for his work in the bands Sabaton and Majestica. Participated in Rhapsody in rock at Dalhalla together with Robert Wells, among others, July 2023.
So in Tommy's cover video, it's just him and he plays all the instruments including drums, as well as computer and camera. All are recorded at his home.

I did some researching and found that all the names of the soldiers, knights and Spartans in the end were real people. Many of the soldiers were Medal of Honor, Silver Star, Victoria Cross or Croix de Guerre recipients.
The soldier pulling himself out of the mud, at first I thought he was a member of "The Smoking Snakes" (Força Expedicionária Brasileira, FEB, nicknamed Cobras Fumantes), but doing some more research with the patch on his shoulder as well as his helmet, that's Sgt Henry Johnson of the 15th New York National Guard Regiment, aka "The Harlem Hellfighters". Medal of Honor recipient and recipient of French Croix de Guerre avec Palme, France's highest award for valor. The Medal of Honor was awarded to him in 2015.
Sgt. Henry Johnson is "one of the five bravest American soldiers in the war."

The Asian soldier with the cocked-hat, that's a Nepalese Gurka named Havildar Gurung (per the credits) who earn the Victoria Cross in the Burma campaign off WWII.
Sgt Awal Nur, who did a secret mission over the Himalaya.
Lt. Audie Murphy, Sgt. Alvin York are both medal of honor recipients from WWI (York) and WWII (Murphy).
I also notice a soldier with the Croix Lorraine on what looks like a French flag arm band, meaning he was a member of the 'Forces françaises libres' forces in WWII.
Doing some reading I found out that a large number of French colonial troops from territories such as Chad had joined with the 'Forces françaises libres'. I suspect that soldier is Lt Comba, but I can't find anything on him.
As I've been working my way through the names listed in the credits and found another one: Private George Stringer, Manchester, Awarded the Victoria Cross at the Battle of Es Sinn in Mesopotamia.
Capt. Dobson, 1st Canadian Infantry Battalion, Killed on 9 July 1916 in Flanders.

The thing was, it wasn't as though the army was going out and recruiting 16 year old men. Back in that time, they didn't have a way to check if someone was lying about their ages when they enlisted.
I know they were because they were just trying to protect, and they wanted to fight and help. It’s just sad that at such a young age to sacrifice so much very brave young men, which you don’t seem much of nowadays. ❤️🎶🤘🏻
@@purplebutterflywithabrokenwing You also should take into account how much they glorified war back then. When the Great War started, everyone was excited. It was seen as a great adventure, a few quick battles and it would be over by Christmas. But as Christmas came and went, and the reality of trench warfare sank in, then people realized that war isn't something that should be treated lightly.

@@lokiodinson2326 I did not mean dedication because our current military men do show dedication but if we had a draft or really needed young men around my sons age like 23 years old they would not be brave enough to defend us in my opinion, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t feel like we should be going to war at all if not needed because it seems to solve nothing but if we needed to, and it was just the young generation fighting we would be in trouble is all that I was saying. I have an incredible amount of respect for our military and I don’t feel like they get the treatment and courtesy that they deserve.

Unfortunatly... this is what men do... if there is a war, we will go in front... die or kill.... we will do what we can do defend our country and the people we love.... The men in both ww1 and ww2 where some of the best of us, and deserve our highest respect....

The youngest on record was 12, I think. I have heard accounts where if parents wrote to the Officers about their kid being under age.
I can't imagine being 15-16 and being so board with home life to go volunteer for a "adventure".
And to think had the allies not insisted that Germany bear the brunt of the cost of the war. Then maybe just maybe WW2 would never had happened. There where Officers that thought the terms where setting up for 2nd world war.

War makes no sense, and this one made less sense than most. I bring this up every time...in the words of my high-school history teacher, this war started because "someone nobody had ever heard of killed someone nobody liked over a piece of land nobody wanted."

@@purplebutterflywithabrokenwing It should be noted that this is NOT originally a Sabaton song. Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead wrote and recorded it first, which is why you see the Motorhead flag flying in the parade, and the remaining members of that band carrying Lemmy's picture.
Considering how hard & heavy Motorhead was known for playing, you should listen to their version. It's a swift kick in the feels. Still, Sabaton more than did it justice, especially with Tina Guo's cello playing during the history lesson.
Sabaton don't take sides when they present these tidbits of history. They simply stick to the facts.

@@treintje1001 “easter eggs” is what we call it in my house but I guess technically it would be called a teaser… but I do like when music videos or movies put things in there that link together the next video or movie to come. There is another artist I listen to that does that a lot and if you don’t follow his music from the beginning to the end, sometimes you won’t understand what’s going on which I find interesting.
