We collected pollen too. It looked just like yours. We sorted and tasted it. We were shocked to find that each color tasted different. I forget but I think the green was bitter and the orange was sweet. Might have it backwards. We did it 4 yrs ago in the early spring.
We lost clips too..same solution as you did. Same exact pollen trap.
