Great video! I used to live in Sydney and agree with your list regarding pros and cons 😊
I really love Bondi but didn’t wanna live there cause of what you said, it’s really touristy and if you wanna know aussies and not only meet loads of people from your own country 😂 this is not the area for you but great coffee shops, the beach etc etc..
Other places I would recommend are:
Glebe: If u plan to study at Sydney Uni, this is a great area since you will live close by. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants and Glebe market is popular. Very artistic and cultural area.
Cons: you’re fairly close to water but not close to the beaches.. Its also a bit like Surry hills, buildings can be a bit rustic but I do know of some new builds around the area.
Paddington: love this area!! Lots of boutiques, second hand shops and nice restaurants, coffee shops. It’s a stylish and “clean” area so the con here is that it can be quite pricey..
I also like Darlinghurst which is next to Paddington but the prices here are lower or at least they were 😂 an area that has cleaned up well in the last 10 years or so..
Aaawww really miss Sydney now LOL

Hi Millie, thank you for making this video, this is SO helpful! My boyfriend and I are moving to Sydney in a few months and I'm doing some research on all the area's. After this video I think for me Manly or North Bondi sounds the best. Thank you xx

Love this video. I'm thinking about moving to Newtown, as I'm in Melbourne and it reminds me of Melbourne, especially Brunswick, with the old houses and vintage stores and music venues. It would make me less homesick and it's close to a train station. Is Newtown a popular place to live?

Yep also an option if you want to be in the business district and right in the centre of the city. It doesn’t makes top 5 personally but other people may like it :)
