Is it weird that I'm kind of iffy about this? So much of the appeal to Sky for me is the original artstyle and presentation. I love the isometric 2D art and sprites and the like. Most people are probably just going to play this new version, especially if it adds any new content, meaning the one I know and love will become obsolete :')
Maybe. But people haven't exactly stopped playing OG FF7 now that the remake is out. The Sky trilogy was always kind of niche and will definitely continue to have its niche audience of fans like us after the remake is out. :)

I’ve been today at the premises of Falcom studio in Tachikawa. Wanted to see where it is located and maybe have a small talk with someone. But at the floor there was a sign in the corridor for strangers to not enter, I decided to not bother them. Have waited for several minutes for occasional employee to show up but they didn’t. Feeling fine about it, I left for nearest Kotobukiya store to find some Falcom-related goods. I had a plan to thank them and ask to make another game with female protagonist. Now, what a surprise !!!😅
I never expected Falcom to do this since they seem so focused on making new games and continuing the story, but I'm still glad. The Sky trilogy is hard to get if you aren't on PC so this will be a great place to start for people who haven't experienced Trails yet or haven't played the Sky trilogy yet. So hype
As perfect as that would be I would be very afraid of it resulting in cut content. Both of them together as one release (even if thats kinda how they should be played at this point) is persona 5 royal levels of gameplay time.
@@exile0025 possibly some sidequests or other minor things, or just a reduction in cutscene choreography. As a single game they'd also need to rebalance the difficulty curve in the middle. Not saying that IS what would happen but I am willing to accept them keeping them separate if that's what it takes to garentee both quality and staying true to the original.

I almost never got the chance to play this also as well as I grew up with the CS series gameplay with the 3d models. So it'll be nice to play the first games.

No, the Legend of Heroes series is interconnected as they tell an overarching story and have characters from the previous games returning in the newer titles. For the best possible experience, you need to play them in order. Trails in the Sky is the first arc and is split into 3 games, taking place in Liberl. Next are the Crossbell games, Zero and Azure. Next are the Cold Steel games set in Erebonia, which is divided into 4 games (with 1 and 2 taking place around the same time as the Crossbell games, specifically Azure). Reverie is next and serves as an epilogue for both Cold Steel and Crossbell. Finally there's the Daybreak duology, with is set in Calvard. Overall, it's a lot of games, but definitely worth playing. Just take your time with it and you'll be fine.
