    Nice setup and congratulations on the babies. It’s sure a long wait for them to hatch. What are you feeding them at that age!

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. I feed them pinheads but they will also take flightless fruit flies at that age.

    How soon after the chameleons hatch can you handle and feed them???

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should offer food the next day after they hatch. Chameleons in general are loners. If you have to handle them to move to another cage for cleaning I would use a stick but don't handle too much because it still stress them out. Wait about a month before trying to handle if you can. Good luck.

    Nice set up! How did you make your post/branches? What kind of material is that?

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. I just used dowel rods that I got from Menards. Any big box hardware store should have them. I zip tied to start and hot glued them once I got them all set. Thanks for checking out the video.

      @@mosaexotics6587 How many chameleons go and one tub? My chameleon literally just had babies and I’m trying to find out how many totes I need. I know I will have to separate them after three months but for now can I put all of them in a large tote with plenty of room lights and feed?’s

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats. Make sure you feed them twice a day. I'd put 10 or so in each tub. Sometimes they hatch at different rates so the early risers go in the first and so on. Pay attention, as they get bigger they will try climbing out that's when you switch to a screen enclosure.

    • @mosaexotics6587

      Lol. I thought you had Panthers. In any case I would still do 10 per tub and switch them over to a screen when needed. Good luck.

    Hi i was watching your video for care for 5 baby chameleons I found in my enclosure I was told my chameleon was a male but I guess she wasn’t after all and I changed them into a 10 gallon tank with a pathos plant and some sticks and vines to hold on to and they have some type of heating I honestly was not prepared for this so I am doing my best

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will have to switch to a bidet screen cage. They grow fast. You will also have to separate them once they get bigger. Thanks for checking out the video. Good luck.

    We didnt know our female chameleon was pregnant. One day she had 23 baby chameleons. We have only like 3 left right now, the rest of them died. How do we keep them alive and help them survive? 🥺😥

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry you lost so many. Good luck with the rest. Make sure they have a separate enclosure. If you have one already you know what’s needed for the set up. Get pinhead crickets or flightless fruit flys. Make sure they have proper heating. The babies could be tricky to keep alive because they are so delicate. Good luck.

    Quick question(s) They can't be with their parents? If so why? Also how old can they be to be with their parents or can they like... never be with them?

    • @mosaexotics6587
      @mosaexotics6587  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the female lays eggs she goes back to her regular routine. If they hatch in the same enclosure the female might eat them. I would never risk that and always keep them separated.
