You should be in no doubt that what was demoed here is astonishing. Gavin Wood seems to be so far ahead of everyone else it's hard to keep up with the speed at which his work is being delivered and released. There is a drive and a clear vision, that few really appreciate.
@@MuhammadAltabba poor work on community growth and masterful work on the creative process for developing these pivotal, paradigm shifting technologies. The ecosystem is usually much healthier if it doesn't grow too fast.
I cannot believe I have spent 1hr 25mins watching something I have absolutely no idea about, except for the unwrapping and setup of a Macbook!! However, I can fully appreciate achieving something in 30mins that would normally take much much longer. For that reason, I plan to invest in this company / technology.
100% agreed!! Atomic composability allows an ecosystem to innovate much faster... The best innovations of different projects can be plug and played together for another relatively low effort combination. Atomic composability basically = supercharge for DLT innovation We need this feature at scale, if the scaling solutions break this feature then that's a superpower lost :(
Dr Wood is pure GENIUS. So much to explore in the technological mastodons that he and his team are building. This is the future of blockchain, web development and fintech under the same hood. I am making it my prime objective to finish my CS studies and work for Parity technologies within the next 5 years. I know I sound like a fangirl but, my gosh, Substrate is as exciting as BFR going to Mars! :)
The random function used in this demo for coin toss is not secure right? I mean adversary can predict the outcome before hand if s/he runs a blockchain node.
@@MuhammadAltabba But, don't you need to understand WHY they came up with Substrate before watching what it does, in practice? Big picture -> Implementation makes sense to me.
It differs quite a lot. Both are awesome projects that will improve the world. I’m not a maximalist so there’s room in the world for both Ada, DOT, and even ETH and BTC.

thats why your "fuseler" created ethereum in a weekend!

5 years on and he's still so far ahead of the field it's almost unfair. Core jam is wild.

that smart contract composability question at 47:20 is really good

Nice! How’s it going 2 years later?
@@simplyexplained2901 Doing well. I've just finished building my first Dapp on Kusama with Polkadot-JS API.
Next step: ink! Smart contracts.
@@nachannachle2706 that's amazing!! congrats!! have you played in substrate yet?!

Love my DOT and KSM and starting to write my own DApps
Cool! Love Polkadot! What app r u making? I need help rebuilding one of my web apps into Moonbeam/Polkadot. Can u help me? TY!
Funny looking at this after working on my substrate project in 2019. I love it!
I just bought polkadot at 17usd hope i HODL for 4 years more

Will Polkadot be the number 1 chain in the space ? Seems they could be. Great presentation.

this lecture has a very good momentum :)
So when do investors get to see some returns?

So few views on this entire playlist on TH-cam. People in the blockchain space wont use TH-cam anymore?

Nice Gav!
What a genius
The first tutorial for getting substrate up and going doesn't work anymore and I have no idea how to get it working.
Polkadot and Cosmos have a lot in common.
how does this differ from cardano (ADA)
Its just better nothing else.

So he left Ethereum? Why? Specifically to work on this?
AFAIK he was kicked out of the foundation but because he still loves the blockchain he started Parity
Omg the chewing sounds, he is drilling my brain...
Amazing presentation - but that open bottle of water next to the brand new laptop...
Pour the water on it, and voila, locked funds released.
Lol, I was thinking the exact same...clumsy me. >__
Radix is the only L1 that has infinite scalability that does not break atomic composability.
👏

I think $DOT (IOU) might hit $300 any time soon on MXC Exchange

They are. Buying polkadot - it’s the new big coin! Called $DOT. Growing at MASSIVE rates!
