    Due to the success of the previous episode, we have decided to make this a weekly format. This is not escaping the trench, it's not going to be a grind for ego purposes. This will simply be applying 9k techniques in each of the respective positions to make people aware of the skills and techniques you can use in your own lower mmr games. This is strictly for educational purposes.

      Smurfing is not cool. Especially as a representative for DotA, especially from the carry role. If you're going to do it at least put together a subscriber match. Right now you're ruining the quality of a game for 9 other people that didn't sign up for this shit. Smurfing 4 or 5k bracket as a 6k because you're learning a new role, hero, or playing with friends? Whatever. But 9k queuing in 3k is like an NBA pro sneaking onto a primary school basket ball team and pretending there's something to learn from dunking on little kids. I typically love your content BSJ, but this encourages a very disruptive practice Valve is actively trying to stop.

    • @uuuppz
      @uuuppz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      im not as good as bsj, for me, as a divine5 player, i would definitely avoid unnecessary fight and just farm instead. void should have anticipated that it is a 50/50 situation against a well-farmed jug, plus jug is so good at team fight. And for void, he is already a threat to jug on early stage with (threads+MOM+maelstrom), but he was stationary at top and never shows up to threatened jug, although it's not a guarantee that they can win, coz radiant's heroes are way more better than dire in my perspective.

    • @stranac1637
      @stranac1637 3 ปีที่แล้ว +46

      @@uuuppz Lets be honest, if anyone beside BSJ was on the jugger radiant would lose the game, void did his job for legend rank pretty good.

    • @rastafari2k3
      @rastafari2k3 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@perceptoshmegington3371 Void was the only one who threatens BSJ, right? But he's not using it for what it's worth. Bsj can do whatever he wants to do. He could buy himself a ward and place in his safe lane, anticipate Bsj's farming pattern and kill him with +1 teammate. His ulties were mostly wasted, as they didn't get any objectives from them. He had other heroes with good wave clear, so his job is to take the right fights, basically

      He cannot explain everything. Manta gives farm speed due to the illusions and the attack speed and is at the same time a very good survivabilty item. It dispels a lot of spells, especially silence which willl jugg let spin tp.

    • @wellendowedplatypus9024
      @wellendowedplatypus9024 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@bjornschmidt4585 Literally the only things Manta dispels in this game are CM and Void Ws, neither of which really threatens a Jugg. He bought Manta IMO because 1) Force of habbit, and 2) Farming speed. Also, every farming+snowballing hero LOVES a Yasha, it lets you press your advantage (because you can more easily stay in range of people to kill them or escape if needed) and lets you farm much faster, because you already kill creeps almost instantaneously, where you are losing time is moving between farm locations.

    • @BSJDynasty
      @BSJDynasty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      in this game manta good for baiting out chronos, you can dodge kunka x or torrent with it. dispell cm and time dilation as you said, dispell rubick fadebolt, it makes void lose valuable seconds figuring out who the real one is, like 1-2 hits on illus on avg, farming speed, push lanes with illus while you farm jungle etc etc.

    • @GovindSharma-vq5mj
      @GovindSharma-vq5mj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@wellendowedplatypus9024 As if CM's first 2 spells arent even a little bit dangerous combined with the enemy lineup... Yeah there's not really much to dispel except 3 spells, but those 3 spells are pretty much the most damegous if not dispelled without using spin. He would rather use spin to dodge kunkka, cm and sk ulti.

    Video is perfect. The most interesting thing is that you realized despite the advantage you acquired from a good lane, you identified that void was still a threat to you and you never over extended in an attempt to kill him. You identified that you needed an item to kill him (basher into abyssal), and once you did you were effectively unkillable. At THAT point you took over the map and herded the enemy team where you wanted them, but you let your team do that for you before you purchased the abyssal.

That said quality content aside, I am very impressed that BSJ can constantly commentate on the game while playing. My ability to concentrate on the game and execute would be completely disrupted by my need to accentuate my thoughts in a cognizant and concise way. To be able to convey thoughts at such a high level while focusing on the game (not just these smurf games but also his regular MMR games) is something definitely special and a talent.

    Honestly if it were me in your enemy team, I would be more than happy to watch this video and see what I did wrong and why you, jugg, were able to snowball so hard. It's also important for void to understand that he was the only hero that threatened you meaning he could have played it differently. Yes he was killing everybody else on your team but in the end it was you who mattered most. You got 1K gold from killing him. He was "owning". He might be confused and thinking he didn't do anything wrong but this video explains exactly why he lost the game. Very cool, very educational.

      Most times there is nothing you can do because by the time you know they are a smurf and what their hero is, you are already stuck with a draft that can't deal with them. However, what you can do is: pressure them on the lane as much as possible IF YOU HAVE THE HEROES to do it. Otherwise, you will just feed. Next, stop them from farming - get aggressive wards and smoke gang them as often as you can. Force them to come to fights or lose objectives, in other words - take good fights, pressure towers, threaten Roshan, whatever you can to slow down their timings and make them do anything else but farming. Once you let them get farmed, it's over because you won't be, and you'll lack the skill to outfight them anyway.

    How come the creeps don't agree you at 5:29? You're attacking the SK right there and they aren't reacting
    edit: Until the game clock reaches 5:00, lane creeps cannot be aggroed by player units, unless the lane creeps have enemy lane creeps, or neutral creeps within their acquisition range, or they are within 1500 range of their tier 1 tower. After that, lane creeps can be aggroed by player units unconditionally.

    Dota youtubers like bsj are a rare breed. I can't begin to explain how helpful it is for a pretty new player to get the thoughts of a really good player behind every thing he does against opponents that act a lot more like my opponents than the normal 9k mmr players.

  • @prettymaladies
    @prettymaladies 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    i want to see bsj prove these concepts with a difficult hero to do so, such as a first pick sf. the common slogan from high mmr players is "picks don't matter at low mmr" - he even says it in this vid himself. so then if picks don't matter and you can play better to compensate for an unideal pick then the proof would be to first pick something counterable like ta and see whether the 'picks don't matter at all if you play well enough' saying really is true. no shade, im so glad i get to see and hear everything that goes through his head in terms of how to win these games - but i want to know how to do these jobs regardless of if you're counterpicked (first pick ta scenario) or playing a hero that inevitably relies on teammates (sf, for example). imagine how much more difficult this game would have been if bsj didn't have the luxuries that jugger provides.. i'm pressing for this because i know for a fact it's possible - if you put bsj mid in this bracket, whether he plays a first pick ta every game or not, i don't think his winrate will differ much. probably 85% vs 90%. so i'm not asking for this to prove bsj wrong, i simply want to see how this can still be done in more difficult scenarios.
