🚨 UPDATE 2 🚨 I'm seeing A LOT of comments which are overly positive. Unfortunately, I see many of them on negative Even Realities videos. Please take everything they say with a grain of salt, they might be bought/bots. I am very suspicious of them, and so should you. - Rob P.S. I strongly encourage you to look up other, unsponsored reviews about this product. Every positive review on TH-cam I've seen is either sponsored, gifted, or in some way related to the company.
Well I'm not a bot and folk claiming anyone who disagrees with them is one is a lazy response. Though I'm definitely not saying bought reviews and comments don't exist, because that will also happen. Personally I can simply see the potential of this gadget through having known deaf/HH folk who these would have been game changers for. Also as I said in one comment features that reviewers have short sightedly slagged off as being pointless, were the very reason I bought a product. Too many reviewers can't see past their own experiences and wants. A good reviewer can can look past themselves and their own biases or will get feedback from folk who would use a product. There's definitely some ableism going on here.
@@imajez1 hi Jeremy, thanks for chiming in. I can appreciate what they could do for some people. But they are not targeting e.g. deaf people. They target everyday use and claim that they are everyday glasses for everyone. If they were for the deaf/hard hearing specifically, I would never have tested them and this video wouldn’t exist.
Dude, you're a rare case of someone who wears TOO MANY trackers! Why do you need a smart watch, ring, wrist tracker, and ear buds? Ear buds I can understand, smart watch I can understand but the ring and wrist trackers are too much. I'm pretty sure your issues with stuttering are due to the limitations of Bluetooth rather than the glasses. Bluetooth doesn't have enough bandwidth for so many devices at once. (yet) The reason you didn't have any issues with the Raybans is that they don't use nearly as much bandwidth as a display. They are literally glorified Alexa speakers strapped to a pair of glasses. Not much more than cameras and speakers. The G1s while certainly not perfect definitely use WAY more data than a glorified headset.
@@itsbyrobin Um, well these would be everyday use for deaf/HoH folk which in the UK turns out to be around 20% of people - that's a lot of folk. Dismissing that life changing tech is somewhat ableist. Also handy when travelling and you need things translated [I'd love that] or if you are like my other half who gets lost on way home from work. I don't often get excited by the potential of new tech as it's usually just iterative versions of stuff we have already seen. This seems like a something genuinely interesting and different, even at V1. And V1 products are often a long way from how they will end up being. The first iPhone was a bit rubbish and yet after the app store was launched a year or so later, it then started to realise it's potential. This could be similar by opening up it's API for developers to leverage the hardware. Apple's Vision pro when I tested it was just astonishing in some of what it could do. But it's definitely a V1 product which needs to lose a lot of weight and pounds [£s]. But then I recall DVD players in computers costing the same crazy amount to the Vision Pro [after adjusting for inflation] when they first came out. But later became cheap as chips whilst way better too and that was iterative [a CD with more capacity] rather than genuinely new tech.
Hi Robin, thank you for your feedback. We're committed to enhancing G1's user experience, including customization options. Stay tuned for future updates.
Why do they not have a camera? And why did you guys choose to go for the thick end behind the ear and not with the even choice of Ray-Bans that would allow you to also add a microphone that is missing? I love the ability to translate from Chinese to English and so on. But it should have been able to do it with camera. And it should have a speaker. If you make those happen , you got one more customer , me. And I guess lots more customers that I guess care for those and that's why your glasses are less successful than Ray-Bans. And lower the price. Or I will always choose meta even if they are more useless for now , expecting them will improve them.
@@EvenRealities please please please! Allow for developers to access your API so that they may work together with you guys to optimize and modify the existing functions that come with the glasses, Also! Please look into allowing users to choose an LLM instead of locking us in to the even Ai
That's it. Without an open system, these are useless. With an open system, at least they'd have some sort of a developer community around them that might generate demand. I do not understand how they didn't launch with this. Or maybe I do, and it has to do with being a re-manufactured product with technology that Even Realities potentially does not own. If so, there will not be an open market for some time to come, because they may not control it. Only time will tell! EDIT: "Even AI" is just a label by the way. They integrated Perplexity AI, which is why it has "internet access". You can test this by just asking which AI model it is using, hah!
I realize I am probably not the norm. I bought these because I am deaf. For the hearing impaired and deaf community these are a game changer. To be able to look people in the eye while they are talking is nothing short of incredible. I could get why for normal hearing person these glasses could frustrate you. But ER is rolling out updates so quick and now with open source I believe improvements are going to be even quicker and better. I did a 24hr review mainly reviewing the translate feature. When using English to English they work just like a transcriber.
That's amazing, thank you so much for sharing. Since you get great value of out these, I would say you made the right call! I wouldn't count on the open source being a wonder pill, and I would still not recommend anyone to buy them unless they have a great reason (like you). But in those cases, they might be a complete game changer. I'm happy for you!
So true - these are a huge game changer for the deaf community! I was surprised in researching how much meta’s glasses can do but they cannot transcribe audio to be read. I am hopeful for the future improvements for G1 in the other areas you mentioned as well - thanks for the video!
G1 has its quirks, and yes it’s not perfect, but I really feel like ER is serious about improving it. Like when my G1 won't adjust head up angle easily (saw some folks mentioning it on Reddit too), ER pretty quickly added more flexibility with a software update. Knowing they’re listening makes it easier to overlook the usual first-gen issues, cause it feels like it’s only gonna get better from here.
That's a good point, I'm glad to hear they're taking feedback to heart! I still wouldn't recommend for the general public to buy them. Specific people for specific use-cases however is a very different story. Or developers, now that they open sourced it! Thanks for watching!
@@TechWandererYT I feel a bit jealous in your comments about whether or not to recommend these glasses. Clearly the EV G1 are ahead in "usefulness" of the Ray Meta glasses. First of all, what are the glasses for? What the Meta glasses do I can do perfectly with a smartphone, headphones or while I'm in my car. In my case, I give speeches, conferences and teach at school and I find it extremely useful to be able to read my notes in real time while I see the audience listening to me. I no longer need to have the notes in my hands. Also, I know people with hearing problems who, thanks to the EV G1, no longer miss phrases or words during a conversation.
@ I think if you use them for an alternative hearing aid or for presentations, then the G1s can be a better choice for you personally, in your situation. For people in almost any other position, the RayBans win.
I love the fact that these glasses are an aid to cell phones and not replacing it. Not over burdened with features but a pair of glasses for people like me who are shortsighted and just need a simple dashboard for just the info I most need.
I think these are fine, personally. I'd rather touch my glasses and signal to the world that I'm using a microphone than to have an always-on microphone and camera linked back to Facebook of all companies. I do agree on the point about a widget store, though; these are a HUD, not a phone, but having more streams of information optionally available to you can only be a good thing when your product's only function is showing you timely information. I don't need a camera on my head for 99% of tasks, my phone one is better. I don't need audio really, either, as my earbuds get the job done. Over the ear headphones are uncomfortable no matter what glasses I wear, so I hardly think battery pods would make a difference to me, but if you're ordinarily unbothered by that then maybe that's a problem for you. Honestly I think these are the first smart glasses I've seen that are better than Google Glass, and that's saying something.
These are by far the best looking smart glasses in the market. These can be improved by software. They have the hardware to address most of the issues you mentioned. The substance is in the capabilities of the software. These are 1st gen. Give it a little more time to mature.😊
Agree they look the best. And many issues can be fixed, while some can. Nevertheless, I review what I have on hand, not what may come in the future. The company for all we know can go bankrupt tomorrow (it probably won’t, but it could). Plus, by that time, these updates come, there may be a version 2.
It seems like they're on the right track, at least. Incorporating some bone conduction headphones would be killer. I really hope they come up with another iteration rapidly. If they fix the UX issues and add headphones they'd be a definite buy.
On the right track for sure, really hoping they'll keep pushing forward as I'd love to make a follow-up video talking about how 'wrong' I was about all of this, and how amazing they are now. But for the time being, nothing changes.
I don't know why so many people want them to add headphones to them. Anything else that you would add would add bulk and likely provide you with a much worse experience than dedicated earbuds. My JBL Quantum earbuds could fulfill that role and likely would provide MUCH better sound than any built-in earbuds or speakers. I've tried out the Meta Glasses and the Bose glasses and while interesting, the sound was meh at best and the battery life suffered greatly and they would often last maybe 2 hours on a good day.
I’m using g1 now, though I did check out rayban before buying. The built-in camera on rayban raises too much privacy concerns for me, since I need to wear glasses all the time and cannot take them off on demand.
I think for those who already wear glasses like me, G1 adds no extra weight or discomfort, but provides features that complement my daily life and work well, and that's the reason that justified the purchase for me. (btw for the sun clip, I wear it for outdoor runs and bike rides with no issue, and they look really dope!)
Hi piaoxq! Thanks for watching and for your reply. I agree regarding the privacy for the Meta Ray-Ban's. I think the photo/video capabilities are questionable for a lot of people. But other than that, having voice-assisted features, speakers, or haptic feedback, or temples that are not as bulky at the back, would all have been feature that would have made them a million times better. They have potential, but I think they didn't get the right feedback early on and made a few unfortunate product design decisions. Maybe in version 2.
Unfortunately you just wasted your paycheck. They have a very shitty customer service. The glasses are glitchy, they ship out the product in DOUBLE the estimated shipping time. What a joke. And then when you return them ( because you’ll have to). They make it a lengthy and complicated return process. Don’t get trapped like I did. I regret buying these broken product. Only one screen shows notifications 😂
@@Safsejv-ih2ss Clearly you don't understand how your eyes work. If you close one eye and look through them you'll notice that both screens are on and combining to make a less blurry image.
@@TechWandererYT Voice assisted features that exist on hundreds if not dozens of earbuds that have superior sound. My JBL Quantums have a built-in AI assistant and I almost never use it even though it works really well. I think most people would likely use the voice functions for a few days and then just forget about it and just grab their phone out of their pocket instead. It's more intuitive and more natural for most people.
In contrast I'm very impressed by these glasses and for a lot of folk, particularly the subtitles which in case of the deaf/hard of hearing are genuinely life changing and also very cheap compared to other hearing products. They'll also be a fantastic language learning tool or a aid to tourists when travelling. The 'lack of features' is less of an issue I'd say, because they have some very useful features that work, rather than loads of things that don't work or do so half heartedly. I also gather they are making the platform open source, so developers can make their own apps/widgets.
Hi Jeremy! Totally get that use-case, and if they were advertised for that purpose, I wouldn't have to make this video. But Even Realities is eager to make these look like "glasses for everyone" - which they are absolutely not. Glad you got a game-changing use-case out of them though!
@@TechWandererYT - they seem to be marketing them more as 'smart' glasses that anyone can wear without looking like an idiot. Which isn't quite the same thing. Also I've seen reviewers trash products for features they thought were pointless and in one case they even marked them down for a 'useless feature' which was precisely why I bought that product. I'm not deaf/HH, nor do I need prescription glasses but I can see how these are game changers and I am bearing in mind that they are just first gen. I can recall how the first iPhone was poorly received by non Macolytes and there's been loads of now amazing tech where V1.0 was a very long way from being perfect. This strikes me as something with amazing potential, even if definitely a V1.0 The App store being added a year later on from the iPhone is what really changed things. App and additions are what can also take such these glasses to another level.
You say that it doesn't "do much", but to me the things that it does do are the most important things that can be done. The "subtitle" style translation tool is game changing
@@TechWandererYT I work in foriegn countries and asking locals about something is a game changer. If you rarely travel then this is a useless feature, it'll also bridge the gap when learning new languages. I just hate the prepaid time top-off... that's such a turn off and is a model destined to fail considering chatGPT and similar services is half the price per month available through our mobiles.
@@theyehsohz Was about to say, ChatGPT is arguably not only faster and most likely cheaper, but also overall more useful too. These glasses may translate what you hear, but they don't help you communicate back at all. Good first-gen tech, but not quite there yet. Thanks for your answer!
@ I’d say try it first, because it sounds cool, but in reality it’s not like that. You can just talk to them and ask for directions. I wish. Still requires your phone, and even then it is buggy.
Hi Robin, great video by the way. My main use same as you is teleprompter. Currently Meta glasses do not have this capabilities. Any suggestions for low cost Teleprompter Smart Glasses?
Nice vidéo but on the other side 90% of these issues can be updated by software update and remember this is one of the first version of the software and meta rayban DOSENT HAVE SCEENS and rhis cannot be solved via an update!!!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Michael! Many of these issues can indeed be fixed or at least improved with a firmware update. The most important once can't though. No speakers, no vibration feedback, clunky controls - all of which make this somewhat unusable for 'everyday life', but potentially very useful for 'special occasions' (like meetings or presentations). It is indeed a first version and I tried being as fair as possible, while also giving a real review. There are so many over-positive, clearly sponsored "review" videos on TH-cam, it was time that someone puts in the work and talks about how they really feel. I hope that Even Realities improves a lot with software, but like Marques (MKBHD) always says, you buy a product for what it can do today, not what it may be able to do tomorrow. Thanks again for watching!
Hi, Can you use these for English to English live captioning for the deaf/hard of hearing? So like if someone is talking to you then you can see what they are saying?
Thanks for the quick review, ive just ordered the g1 and ive been using the meta Rayban for the last 8 months as my prescription glasses.. my only problem with rayban is battery life as its my main prescription glasses, it's dead in less than 4 hours with calls and speakers and i cant charge them as i need them on my eyes.. my thoughts is that g1 is a great version 1 product from a startup that could replace many aspects of smart watch (except fitness/health) with durable battery life.. with the rayban, I always relying on earbuds for music and calls.. so basically i dont use them except on some occasional photos.. I think g1 and smart ring would be my main wearable in the near future.. Totally agree with you that they are pure expensive.. but again, I've paid $300 for meta Ray-Ban and I'm almost using them as a pair of regular prescription glasses.. Thanks again for the different inputs in your review..
@@islamyutube thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts! It will be a very interesting experience coming from the Ray-Ban’s to the G1’s. I hope you enjoy them! My biggest problem honestly is that, to make the most profit, they market them as being a mass-product. But in reality, they’re useful for a small niche of people. The rest will without a doubt be disappointed. Since battery life is an issue for you (which totally makes sense!), these might be a good fit for you!
Honestly, after seeing a few different reviews with some differing opinions, I'm actually much more in favour of the G1s as compared to something like Meta Ray-Ban's. Obviously there's the privacy aspect, as many have mentioned - I'd rather not have an always-on microphone and cameras on my face all the time. Additionally, I think the main point with a lot of these features is also to still sort of distance you from your phone slightly, without creating a complete disconnect. Like, being able to see notifications without having to look away from a conversation I feel like would be a game-changer, particularly for someone like me in a job where it's easy to get distracted or caught up when talking to clients and miss an important message. While I definitely agree it's not quite at a point technology-wise to be for everyone, rarely anything ever is - but I also think that many people dislike the interface - at first glance - because they're expecting it to be more attached and always-on (like Meta's) rather than just another interface. But hey, guess I'll have to suspend my judgements until I can get my hands on some to try them out 😅
Very well-rounded opinion for sure! When in doubt, get them and test them for yourself. All I can say is that since I bought them with my own money, I haven't used them past the review. To me, they're quite useless. In a few years, they might be a lot better. But for the time being, I'd predict that about 8-9 in 10 people that buy them will either return them (if they can) or put them into a drawer to never see them again. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@TechWandererYT oh, yeah, absolutely! Maybe they'll come out with updates, or a later hardware revision (e.g. new product) that could change that. I'm interested to see what the open source scene makes of it, too. Thanks for taking the time to write a reply!
Keep in mind that G1 will be amazing for people with disabilities especially with hearing loss. Rayban doesn’t do anything for us yet. If rayban can combine with G1 and meta, then it will be a perfect glasses
Honestly, I think the G1's are too expensive for what they can currently do, but I agree that if there would be more accessibility features (constant subtitles for the world for example), they could potentially make a huge impact. There are other glasses that do this though (XRAI for example and almost half the price).
This is why I purchased these. I am deaf. I have had the glasses for a week now and despite any short comings or glitches it has changed my world! Sure there are things they can improve on I telling as a deaf person as is, these have hit the mark!
@@TechWandererYT Compared to the G1's, other captioning glasses such as Xander and Hearview are far more expensive and that is the only function they provided. G1's other features are just bonus for those with hearing loss. I like the fact ER kept it simple with no camera, keeping the weight and cost down.
These are pretty incredible. Can you imagine if the RBMs had these displays? I assume the G1s are thinner and have superior battery life because there's no heavy lifting done in the glasses. They're basically just a wireless display. But a beautifully engineered one.
Good video and good points. I just got these and found they fit really well into my workflow. I already wear glasses, so having the extra information is just a bonus. No one has asked if they're smart glasses but maybe they're just being polite.
I really want these glasses and I have been twice almost about to buy them. But I agree with you, the features are so few and not being able to make basic features like phone calls and pictures is a deal breaker. I need prescription glasses so investing even more money on the prescription lenses will feel even worse when they finally release a better version. I guess I'll have to wait. Or try to search for better alternatives. Great review by the way.
Hi Rob, can you use the translation feature to transcribe as well? I’m a non native speaker who is better at reading than listening so this would be of big help. Also do you feel ppl in front of you can see the content displayed on your glasses?
@@fangkevin111 loads of potential, but not nearly as much as Meta’s Orion. And the time it takes to develop both is probably the same. Always happy to see progression though!

I own the Even G1, and I completely agree with you on everything. It feels very limited, and there isn’t much variety. It would be nice to have new features; it feels like I’m still in a beta version. I’m kind of stuck, and I'm considering selling mine or just hoping for the best that they add new features
Hi Phearoun 👋🏻 Am with you, am considering selling mine too. This feels extremely 'beta/first-gen' to me. Nothing is really useful for 99% of people. There are without a doubt people that will make use of these, but the vast majority won't. Thanks for watching!
Imagine glasses like this fully intergrated with your phone, Imagine it as part of the apple eco system, so it pairs with your phone and your watch, and maybe a camera somewhere, imagine your traveling in a foreing coutry where you can't read the signs and a camera somewhere on your person scans the text and then you can read it in your glasses, so you know for instance which platform your supposed to be on for the train. i love the idea of turn by turn navigation whilst riding my bike too. obviously there are more possiblities in the future. these aren't the finished product yet but I'm excited for what might be to come in the future.
Great review - and I agree with everything you said. However, in the end, you have to weigh how relevant the individual issues are. Ultimately, that’s just the price you pay as an early adopter. ;) I’ve been using the G1 for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m very satisfied-despite the points you mentioned. Yes, Bluetooth is still not entirely seamless, and the AI features aren’t always reliable. But what I really like: the navigation. I always find it incredibly impressive. Even though a few features are missing and the controls are still very rudimentary. One thing you didn’t mention: when you’re driving with the G1 and accelerate, the tilt sensor interprets it as looking upward and switches on the display. So you either have to disable that, adjust the tilt angle, or live with it. Overall, I still like the glasses. They’re super comfortable to wear, and the build quality is genuinely good. The software definitely needs improvement - but there’s a lot of potential to fix things there. Conclusion: Despite the issues, I’ve already ordered the new G1B model. For me, the advantages clearly outweigh the downsides. :)
Good review. I have both actually (have had 3 Metas, with one clear favorite - Headliner low bridge, transitions) and the G1s. My take on this is...THERE IS NO PERFECT WORLD....YET. Keep waiting for the Apple product that I think will blow everyone out of the water (although price point will remain to be seen). Meantime I've resigned myself to the fact that I will use BOTH the G1 and the Metas. In my experience a lot of the negatives you mention for the G1s are non issues for me. Once you understand that they are there primarily for ALERTS, you end up "getting it". And I did get it! Yes, the behind the ears controls are very annoying and I don't think their developers are gonna roll out a 2.0 version ANYTIME soon, maybe never as so many factors come into play with these smaller companies. But for the time being I am very pleased. I use the G1s daily and find them uber comfortable v. the Metas. And the added features of AI, teleprompter, and quick notes (if you understand it's for very quick reminders on the fly) is very useful. I'd say I use the G1s 90% of the time vs. the Metas, whose battery life is extremely poor - you really do need to carry the case with you all the time. I find the Metas most useful when traveling, walking around a city, airports, etc. Can shoot video, take calls, do all the handsfree stuff that the G1s can't do. But at work, especially having the G1s on all day really eliminates 90% of the times I have to grab phone and look (so annoying to your audience if you are in a service industry, or healthcare as I am). I do wish there was a hack for the annoying light on the Metas when recording. There are tons of body cams that have stealth mode. But I'll leave that alone. It really does limit me from recording things I'd like to sometimes (NO, NOT what you could think!!). In any case I do hope the G1s get an upgrade, but for now will have to do.
I agree that there's no perfect product yet, but I'm still waiting for them to improve the software to make them truly useful for the majority of people. Thank you so much for watching and for your thoughts!
I will still try and get them but i will wait abit to see how much progress they make with the software. They do seem to be listening and making adjustments and adding features.
@@SomeJohndoe that sounds like a plan! I think as long as you order them while being able to return them, that’s good. I had to import mine from the U.S., so there is no returning mine. I do hope that they push all the updates in the world, but only time will tell. Thanks for watching!
I feel like youre talking about two different markets here. You talk about watching pictures, seeing emojis, listening to music, speaking on the phone and taking pictures. For me, i can take pictures with my phone or my fujifilm, i can listen to music with my in-ears or headphones. And if i want to watch something, i have my phone, my ipad or my computer. And when it comes to emojis, well i dont use them and pictures, well, id rather watch them on my computer or phone anyway. My point is, i think the idea here is practicality, instead of running the mainstream gen z social media vibe (Everything has to be able to do everything). I like the idea that its simple, elegant, and practical for say, work use. Its not too much, its not cramped with useless features. Though i totally understand your points. But, some of us just love the small details and simple things. I think these are a great way to implement tech into your reality, without it being overwhelming or generally just too much, like the apple vision.
Fantastic review. Was considering getting a pair but the price is steep for me. I will hold on getting these, but despite all of the seeming negative points (AKA Cons), your video gives me hope. Unlike many other wearables out there, the G1’s seem like they have massive potential. As mentioned in the comments, many of your cons and nitpicks with the glasses are on the software side, which means even this first edition has promise to become a very strong wearable with software updates and bug fixes. I also think that many of the hardware cons have solutions as well. To me the biggest threat to Even Realities is competition. However, the form factor of the G1s does set them apart from other smart glasses. Personally, I also think these may be the most stylish pair I’ve seen and I really enjoy the unique HUD. Also, another note: You briefly showed a diagram when speaking to the projection system. Based on that diagram, I would venture to guess it may be the reason that the button is in the back of the glasses. Due to form factor, it was probably difficult to place the button in the front. Maybe it is possible with enough testing and I feel it’s a strong suggestion that will need to be validated by additional user testing. I agree that having that button near the front seems like a more logical placement. I’ll keep an eye out for the next version of these glasses. These have so much potential!
Genuine question. You complain about having problems with having too many Bluetooth devices connected to your phone and this is adding to that but then you point out wearing 3 seemingly redundant devices. Maybe I am just misunderstanding but you wear the glasses that give you your notifications and an Apple Watch for fitness tracking but then you are also wearing two more fitness tracking devices that are redundant
As a tech person I test a lot different things. I only mentioned it because it happened. It shouldn’t be a major issue, unlike all the other problems I mentioned.
Im now waiting to pull the trigger on these, just waiting for the software to be a bit more refined (please let as have access to API's, especially Open AI's)as i like the look. I wear glasses, and the square versions of these look great. Owned the meta ray bans , but they were a disaster for me due to: 1. My career has me looking at sensitive data for 8 hours a day, my company didn't allow me to wear them at all, even when i said i'd cover up the lenses. 2. Same deal with my local cinema sometimes ( depends who was there, seems the ray bans are getting to be known, especially when people put tape on the lenses lol) 3. Battery life, like i said i wear glasses, so don't really want to put my glasses down in the middle of the day to charge them. I would've liked a tiny inconspicuous camera on the G1's just for visual translation though (no interest in taking photos)
Wow! We are so close to usable everyday smart glasses becoming a reality. Far closer than I had anticipated before watching this video. We are living in truly exciting times indeed! I believe that once Meta starts putting screens in their glasses, they will become more mainstream. The main thing stopping me from getting the Metas is the lack of any screens. I can do 99% of the things the current iteration does with a pair of airpods.
What about the live translate? My dad is very deaf (hearing aide and cochlear implant). He'd benefit from having EN->EN translation automatically appear when mum tries to talk to him.
I rather use birdbath tech XR glasses like Xreal or Viture though. You can do more things with those glasses than a simple green text glasses which cost more than Xreal/viture glasses.
Hey there! That's awesome, I hope you get more use out of these than I do. I'm sure that for some people these are really useful. Let me know how it goes when you get them!
Mine were delivered late!!! I told customer service and they didn’t care !!! I ended up returning mine and they proposly took a whole damn week giving me a log in for a link to submit a return hahahaha. So lame. Glad I got my $700 back before I issued a fraud transaction from them
Regarding the sound dropping with airpods, I'm assuming the BT radios for the glasses are in those rectangles behind the ears on the Realities but are farther up the frame on the glasses that don't drop audio. I think it's interference from the two Bluetooth radios being too close to each other when the airpods are in your ear close to the frame's rear. Radio is a lot like sound, when two things are talking with the same frequency in the same place, it's hard to determine a clean signal.
I'm intrigued by these glasses, even considering the limited functionality. The dealbreaker is the price, though. Not for the glasses themselves, which although slightly in the high end, could be worth it depending on your use cases, but for the prescription lenses. For regular driving glasses (I'm slightly nearsighted) it's double up, and for progressive lenses (I'm beginning to experience trouble reading close up) it's tripple the price. Nearly 2,000 € is simply asking too much for what these glasses offer!
How useful is the Even AI function? Were you able to ask some knowledgeable questions? Did they synchronize with the ChatGPT or Open AI? If the answers were longer than the actual screen, would it be displayed as turning page mode?
So, that's actually an often asked question, without an answer. Even Realities has - to the best of my knowledge - not released what type of AI runs these glasses. But from my testing, it's definitely a language model, and it's a bigger one for sure. It even has internet access (or pretends to), as I for example asked it for the most recent U.S. election pools and it answered. All answers I have gotten are 3-5 pages long, that you need tap through, yes. There's something very annoying that happens though, and that is that the AI tries to "format" the out, with markdown. # Weather in Dubai **Today**: 32 degrees Celsius Something like this, which the software wasn't able to interpret at all, and it's wasting space. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@TechWandererYT When you press the button and ask questions, how well can the glasses capture your voice? For instance, will a soft whisper or murmur in a quiet library be captured?
So, I just tried whispering and they did pick it up, no problem. Despite the phone being in another room, so I have to assume that they have at least one microphone. Fun fact, I also asked it if it is based on ChatGPT, and it said no, it is in fact based on Perplexity AI.
Saw the advertisement on Reddit and try to collect more information and I found this video, thanks for the informative review and, my thoughts is it’s a smart glasses but not smart enough, we might have to wait for something really smart 😮
FANTASTIC HONEST REVIEW! Well balanced. None of the other reviews (and I've probably every YT review) were nearly as complete as yours and none pointed out all of the practical "REALITIES"/shortcomings (pun intended) of the Even Realities G1 glasses that you did. Bottom line is that I learned more about these glasses from your review then I did from watching every other Realities review video combined..That's no shade to the other reviewers...well maybe only to those that were clearly "sponsored commercials" for the glasses...ugh! So, again THANKS! One thing you didn't talk about was whether your glasses were prescription. As I understand it you can only get prescriptions for nearsightedness....and certainly no progressive lenses....so that is a huge limitation likely of the technology but nevertheless a limitation.
Hi Jet Martin 👋🏻 Thank you so much, your words mean a lot. This video was easily 25-30 hours of work but I thought it was very important to have a more balanced video on TH-cam. There are SO MANY SHILLS that say nothing but positive things (which is why I bought them myself). Not here, hehehe. Nothing but brutally honest videos on my channel. I don't really care what Even Realities thinks (though I hope they take the feedback to heart, and I am happy to help them and provide more feedback if they'd reach out). But people like you that view and get value out of this video are the top priority. As for prescription, no, they are the "normal" glasses. I did wear glasses until a few years ago, when I had LASIK done. Since then, I'm almost 20/20 and happy that I did it to be honest. It was such a quick and painless procedure, and I wish I had done it earlier. Hope it helps!
@@TechWandererYT Keep up the great work. I too had lasik maybe 15 years ago but eventually my eyes changed shape and I'm about where I was before I had lasik done. It was a good 5 years while it lasted. I hope yours "sticks".
Only one screen shows notifications 😂 mine already came broken!!!!
I would consider buying these, but for me the software needs more variability as you shown and there is no devkit where I could program my own widgets! In my opinion a smart-glass shouldn't show videos and stuff because I would like it minimal and non distracting (but that would be something you could customize). Still waiting what the future brings
Hi Marc, thank you for watching and for your thoughts! I agree that the photo/video is split, some people love it (myself included, though it does make me self-conscious), other people hate it. It depends on the society I think. In the U.S. for example I think this is totally acceptable. But in Germany or the UAE, not so much. There are a lot of other things that they could to make these a lot better. Some are fixed in software, some are fixed in hardware. But either way, I don't like the idea of buying something for 600-700 + taxes + shipping for what 'they could be' in the future. So for that reason, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone right now.
It bothers me that a recent review from only a couple of days ago didn't cover this but... They did open source example apps on GitHub so anyone can can build whatever they want to work with the glasses.
The one thing I really want from smart glasses is the ability to subtly provide me with notes and interpretations during conversations to compensate for my autism. The Frame’s promptless mode can actually do that now, and it’s been a cheap open system from the start, but the display is very blatantly obvious even from a distance.
@@michaelhabada3493 Hi Michael! That’s a very interesting question. I don’t think the teleprompter would move fast enough. Plus, the feature must really hear you as it recognizes the words and then moves forward in the text (or lyrics). In a loud environment this might not work. Honestly I’m not even sure if a word they is sung would be recognized. If you’re really interested in this, I could test it for you.
If found the review fair. I believe wearable "computing" devices (or smart glasses) is the future and the new trend that will be easily adapted. I think that noone is going to complain if part (or all) of the computation will be delegated to their smartphone as long as: 1) The glassed have more features (as you said) 2) Battary life lasts one day 3) They don't look chunky
Hey Nikolaos 👋🏻 I'm glad you found this review fair and useful. I do think this is the future, and that this is just the first version. And to be fair, the battery life is amazing, and they look good. I believe that, should Even Realities survive for a few years, they will come out with versions that potentially fix all of these. If they had microphones and speakers, I maybe would end up using them. They don't necessarily need to add a camera, and this may be a key differentiator for them, but they should improve the way we actually use them. The user experience is just not great. Thanks for watching!
I think this is super important to have a video like this, something that puts the device in a reality check. I’m very curious about these small things you touched on and think it should be highlighted and criticized but so that it gets better. It is very annoying to have these companies release products so early and have to work a year or two after release to get the software where it needs to be. I think majority of these problems will be fixed though. I think speakers and haptic feedback sound cool but then it will make it far more clunky than it needs to be. There is something nice about just having a few essential features. The translate, maps navigation and teleprompter are all must anything extra welcomed but they dont need to have all the bells and whistles. I think even with software updates it can be possible that they introduce a way for the system to recognize tapping gesture or remapping the controls to be more intuitive. Hopefully the creators watch this video and hear your feedback then most important get to work. All the basic features should work no problem and not have any extra headache so for now I will wait to hear about the updates that they provide.
Hi Scott! Thank you so much, you very much echo my own sentiment. I wish companies would pay more attention to videos like this, instead of trying to buy/sponsor videos or gift reviewers products for positive PR. I do think that, IF (!) Even Realities has true control over their software, and it's not "just" a repackage of another device (which it might very well be), then software is a huge deal and it can make these glasses significantly better over time. Unfortunately, while Even Realities did comment on this video, they merely said that they are committed to software updates. They haven't addressed any specific issues, which speaks volumes in my opinion and it makes me want to sell mine immediately.
Years ago, I had a Pebble Time Steel smart watch. I could read entire messages on it and reply with voice to text. I've been very disappointed almost every wearable release since it seems to force you to open the phone and associated app in order to read the full messages and reply to them. 😩
These are closer to the smart glasses Id want. I dont want a speaker or a camera. I want something that can display information that I can read infront of me. If they can figure out how to get assistant features so you can control your phone than it would be a buy from me. Maybe a scroll function to add more controllability to whats being displayed. You could then scroll through notifications and select which one to read. Also needs some sort of feedback. A rumble or even just a beep. Just something to let you know it registered your touch. If they can do this Id buy them.
Have you been able to test the translation yet? Honestly, that's the single biggest reason I want these, but I've seen a couple reviews that said the translation was a bit slow and would get lost if the speaker was fast. I'd definitely pay the premium to be able to have live translation that worked.
Hi Jake! I've only tried them with myself if that makes sense, as a German-native. I would have to agree with what other reviewers have said - just like the Teleprompter, they're not 'real time' - things move but it takes a second or two I'd say. There's zero chance that you could pick up a real conversation with someone that doesn't take breaks in speaking I think. The biggest problem is that there's only two handful of languages. My wife is Polish, for example, which isn't supported. Having said that, there's two translation options. One that is included (at least to a certain extend), and one that is paid. Maybe the paid version is better/faster? If you're truly interested in this, let me know what you'd like me to test and I'll make a quick video. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
@@TechWandererYT I'd LOVE to see a good test of the translation. There are pretty much ZERO videos on youtube that go over that part in detail (the best I found was a single video that mentions the slowness). Personally, I travel a fair bit and being able to pick up on conversations at least enough to understand would be 100% worth a paid sub for me if it worked.
What would you like to see? I can consider making this video if you give me a few details on what you'd like to test specifically. I could ask my wife to speak English while I speak German or something. I just honestly don't really see the value in this feature, as while you may understand what others say, it's not like you can let the glasses speak back or something, you know?
@@TechWandererYT I'm mostly interested to see how accurate it is, and if it's able to keep up with a normal level of conversation. For me, I speak a little bit of a couple languages, so being able to understand what someone is saying I'd be able to at least respond a little, since my listening comprehension and vocab aren't that great yet.
The free version converts to text first then has their ai translate it. The pro just sends the audio directly for translation so should be a bit quicker. But all this goes through your phone's connection so how fast it is will be dependent on that.
I don't think the negatives matter a lot for me tbh I only go outside for work and the go's function sounds wonderful, also the notes and ai ones I think I would get a lot of use out of (granted I'd have to buy a pair to be able to say for sure tho) I do know there's some room for improvement (like the personalisation) but quite honestly the negative points are not that important to me in contrast to the pros, I don't really want a product that is a phone to my face, just a nice interface to remind me the essentials on my field of view is more than enough to get me excited
@@maikelbarahoa6612 I’d say, buy them but make sure you can return them as I believe 95% of people will buy and never use them past the first week or two.
For me to adopt i need chat gpt voice features through glasses. I need to be able to converse with chat gpt , then also see stuff in vision on request.
That would be interesting, and it would totally be possible if they'd allow for customizations. I think the navigation is already showing your speed, too. But I haven't really tested it. Reddit users did say though that you have to keep your phone screen on for navigation to work, which makes it kinda useless.
@@TechWandererYTmine works fine with the screen off on android. Perhaps they didn't enable background processing. I use these on my motorcycle for nav so I don't have to look down.
i so hope enough people buy these to get the price down and/or more functionalidties in the next versions. i absolutely want some like these, but they are just too pricy for the feature set they offer. if i had perscription lenses already i'd be sold asap on these, but with my (knocks on wood) still clear eyesight, they are just too pricy for the verry limited featureset.
I have these for 2 weeks now and I hardly ever wear them. I have prescription ones and they look like fricking coke bottles. Sometimes the left lens doesn't project and it is basically just a heads up display for the time and weather. I consider these a gimmick and if i coulld return them, I would. Looking at that green font everyti.e I look up at all gets old, real fast.
That's my feeling exactly, and I wish all these positive shills on TH-cam would have been more honest. I guarantee you that none of them are still wearing them. Excuse my language, but it disgusts me that people 'trick' others into buying things for their own gain. These glasses are really cool tech, but as you said, they're a gimmick for 99% of people. I have no doubt that the 1% will find them very useful, for let's say talks, presentations, etc - but the way they're marketed (everyday smart glasses for everyday people) is misleading, and will lead to bad customer sentiment over time. Just like you, if I was able to return them, I would. For both of our sake, I hope that they will push a lot of firmware updates in the next months that may make them more useful. Thanks for watching, John!
G1 glasses are not a phone but a simple heads up display it’s more of a tool which needs to be improved on but I wouldn’t want a camera or a microphone on my glasses possibly seeing what I see in real time
I like and prefer their limitations. I’m not trying to replace my phone. If anything, I want to replace my smart watch and this is it! If it had a brighter display and higher battery time. Id have one next week! Ps, I want smart glasses that are NOT obvious and all others are so +1 to this
The teleprompter was by far the worst disappointment. I hope they're more useful for you. I highly suggest you buy them in a way that you can return them if you should decide that they're not for you.
I mean I understand why people compare the pricing to meta but it's kind of not Apple's to apples. You have to have a meta account with ID verification and your real name to use those. Your subsidizing that $300 price point with endless usage of your data and very little control over what happens to it
@@michaelcorcoran8768 If data usage is a concern then maybe (?) the G1’s are better. But there is really no way to know, and personally, I’d rather get the features I actually need. I haven’t used these very expensive glasses since I made the video. Lots of wasted money :(
I’ve been waiting for someone to do an honest review. Every other review I watched just felt like an add which is why I would never purchase. Thank you for the transparency. I finally feel as if I understand the experience.
I have to be honest, I got sick and tired of these reviews and it was time for a real one. The problem I see is that I'm getting some comments of people claiming the glasses are so amazing and whatever. Very hard to believe for me if anyone would have these glasses and think "wow they're amazing I am so happy I spent 600-700 on them" 😂
Hopefully not quite that long, hah! With Meta's Orion on the horizon, I'm guessing 2-3 years before we have something most people are willing to wear regularly (but too expensive for the masses), and in 4-5 years maybe we have tech that many people can afford and is comfortable and powerful enough. Here's hope! 🤞🏻
I should buy you a beer. You saved me from throwing money out of the window for the usual pre-product stuff they are trying to sell. Good hardware, software doesn't deliver.
Hi Caspar, hah I'm happy I could save you some cash. That's all I want. Unfortunately, I spoke to other creators that also bought them, and they all agreed. These are, in their current state, useless. Software can and hopefully will make them a bit more useful, but overall they are extremely "first-gen" devices. I honestly wish I could return them, but I'll probably sell them instead at a significant loss because I just don't see enough of a future for these. If they had speakers, haptic feedback, and voice-activated AI - as well as less-thick temples, -maybe I would be able to recommend them.
Proof of concept is correct, how the F do they not include speakers, like seriosly WTF !!! Massive oversight right there, you can BS talk all you want as to why they didn't include speakers, but at the end of day it's just that BS excuses. Unforgivable to launch a product like this and not have speakers !!!
All of the downsides seem to be based on a lack of features. This seems like a non-issue for my use case as I do NOT want much of any features aside from it being just a heads up display. I don’t need or want the ai components, I just want to be able to have the basics put in front of my face. Kinda like the EyePhone from Futurama 😂
I wouldn't hesitate on the Meta RB's at all... IF you don't get self-conscious for having a camera on your face, and you're okay with the battery life (4-5 hours). I actually have a review for them on my channel, too. Meta's Orions however... yeah, all in when they come out, hah! Thanks for watching!
These two products are completely different, actually incomparable. One is actually AR smart glasses, the other are normal sunglasses with cameras mic, and speakers in them. How you can frame the mostly software teething issues as meaning people should buy meta raybans is beyond me. It's like comparing a pinhole camera(modded to have speakers) to a VR headset, then complaining that the VR headset doesnt take good pictures, and it's heavy.
Literally the only thing the Even Realities G1's have that the Meta Ray-Ban's don't, is the very limited internal displays. Everything else (!) the Meta Ray-Ban's do better. - The AI assistant is better (because you can trigger it with words) - The AI assistant is better again (because it can actually take actions) - You have speakers to jump on calls, listen to music, etc - You have multiple (!) really microphones to record notes, etc - again without touching anything - You can take videos And literally so much more. This is not a competition. The Meta Ray-Ban's are better for 99%+ of the people. Teething issues is an excuse, as they sell for $599 + taxes + clip-ons. Not to mention many of the issues that I didn't put into the video, like if you inevitably scratch the glasses, good luck repairing them. I take it that you bought them and need to justify your purchase, and that's fine. But don't tell people that they're fundamentally different and incomparable products. If they are, they’re only in the way that the Ray-Ban's are magnitudes more powerful in almost every single way.
🚨 UPDATE 2 🚨
I'm seeing A LOT of comments which are overly positive.
Unfortunately, I see many of them on negative Even Realities videos.
Please take everything they say with a grain of salt, they might be bought/bots.
I am very suspicious of them, and so should you.
- Rob
(yet)
The reason you didn't have any issues with the Raybans is that they don't use nearly as much bandwidth as a display.
Happy to hear that you guys! I hope I wasn't too harsh on you :)

@@TechWandererYT I am hoping it will be a magic pill. But for me G1s themselves are a big enough magic pill already.1

Not over burdened with features but a pair of glasses for people like me who are shortsighted and just need a simple dashboard for just the info I most need.
exactly
@@matthewquinn937 that would not be cost effective since you could just have a clip on ear buds

Hi Jeremy, so you are able to see subtitles wearing the glasses? Does it transcribe the words accurately for you?
@@ponyriderz2162 as I said - "I'm not deaf/HH, nor do I need prescription glasses", so don't have them. But if I were...
You say that it doesn't "do much", but to me the things that it does do are the most important things that can be done. The "subtitle" style translation tool is game changing
I'd love to understand how it is game-changing to you as I am open to changing my mind about these.
@@TechWandererYT Wait but that’s all you need to travel… the fact you can ask for directions and understand what they say in real time is insane.

Hi, Can you use these for English to English live captioning for the deaf/hard of hearing? So like if someone is talking to you then you can see what they are saying?
Or simply if the translation feature can transcribe the text as well
Thanks for the quick review, ive just ordered the g1 and ive been using the meta Rayban for the last 8 months as my prescription glasses.. my only problem with rayban is battery life as its my main prescription glasses, it's dead in less than 4 hours with calls and speakers and i cant charge them as i need them on my eyes.. my thoughts is that g1 is a great version 1 product from a startup that could replace many aspects of smart watch (except fitness/health) with durable battery life.. with the rayban, I always relying on earbuds for music and calls.. so basically i dont use them except on some occasional photos..
I’m using a prescription glasses. Should i be wearing contact lenses for this?
@TechWandererYT oh, yeah, absolutely!
Maybe they'll come out with updates, or a later hardware revision (e.g. new product) that could change that.
I'm interested to see what the open source scene makes of it, too.
Thanks for taking the time to write a reply!
Will there be a problem that the images seen by both eyes can't be well integrated?
Hey bro, you might be pushing your Bluetooth connection to its limit 😂
@@silvrsurfer lol he got like 4-6 different connections going on 🤣
How accurate is the speech to text?
PS: How did you record the display on your glasses to show on your video
If you wear glasses anyway I think these are pretty cool since they are also pretty stylish
These are pretty incredible. Can you imagine if the RBMs had these displays? I assume the G1s are thinner and have superior battery life because there's no heavy lifting done in the glasses. They're basically just a wireless display. But a beautifully engineered one.
@@fedzalicious if the RBM had displays that would be cool. But the G1s are nowhere close to that unfortunately.
@TechWandererYT I've since heard the next RBMs will have similar displays

Good video and good points. I just got these and found they fit really well into my workflow. I already wear glasses, so having the extra information is just a bonus. No one has asked if they're smart glasses but maybe they're just being polite.
Unfortunately that’s all they do. I thought the same thing. I returned mine and got my $700 back. Best thing ever !!
Can you change the size of the text on the teleprompter?
Hi Rob, can you use the translation feature to transcribe as well? I’m a non native speaker who is better at reading than listening so this would be of big help. Also do you feel ppl in front of you can see the content displayed on your glasses?
Hi , can one read with this Textes from books ? Text to speech function??
This looks like it has massive potential. Won’t pull the trigger just yet, will wait for G2
@@fangkevin111 loads of potential, but not nearly as much as Meta’s Orion. And the time it takes to develop both is probably the same.

I ordered these a month ago. As a nurse I hope to have timed reminders and quick notes that are dependable. And I hope AI can help too.
That sounds like a great use case, I hope they will come in handy for you.
I returned mine within the 2 week window!!!! Even realities is not taking my money hahaha ! AWFUL PRODUCT
Thank you so much for watching and for your thoughts!
there is still loads of room for improvement, but just imagine what they will be able to do in the near future

@@SomeJohndoe that sounds like a plan! I think as long as you order them while being able to return them, that’s good. I had to import mine from the U.S., so there is no returning mine. I do hope that they push all the updates in the world, but only time will tell.
Thanks for watching!
Would it be able to help with answers on a test?
Owned the meta ray bans , but they were a disaster for me due to:
1. My career has me looking at sensitive data for 8 hours a day, my company didn't allow me to wear them at all, even when i said i'd cover up the lenses.
2. Same deal with my local cinema sometimes ( depends who was there, seems the ray bans are getting to be known, especially when people put tape on the lenses lol)
Id be very interested in a G2 or G3 model once they tweak a few things, add more language models, and bring the price down a little bit
Great video! My pair of G1's are arriving this week. I currently use the meta raybans and I'm glad someone actual compare these two!
Adding the visual capabilities to the RayBan Meta would be a good next step.
@@adamduus-boolsen2975 2000 euros is insane. Agree. Plus, imagine scratching the lenses. Good luck it’s the replacement. 🥺

What if you ware prescription glasses, do have to use contacts to use smart glasses
I am a lead singer of a band. Can i use these for my lyrics instead of a i pad??
@@michaelhabada3493 Hi Michael! That’s a very interesting question. I don’t think the teleprompter would move fast enough. Plus, the feature must really hear you as it recognizes the words and then moves forward in the text (or lyrics). In a loud environment this might not work.
Honestly I’m not even sure if a word they is sung would be recognized. If you’re really interested in this, I could test it for you.
If found the review fair. I believe wearable "computing" devices (or smart glasses) is the future and the new trend that will be easily adapted.
I think that noone is going to complain if part (or all) of the computation will be delegated to their smartphone as long as:
1) The glassed have more features (as you said)
2) Battary life lasts one day
3) They don't look chunky
Does the display ANCHOR??
It doesn’t. At all.
It moves wherever you look
I don't think the negatives matter a lot for me tbh
I only go outside for work and the go's function sounds wonderful, also the notes and ai ones I think I would get a lot of use out of (granted I'd have to buy a pair to be able to say for sure tho) I do know there's some room for improvement (like the personalisation) but quite honestly the negative points are not that important to me in contrast to the pros, I don't really want a product that is a phone to my face, just a nice interface to remind me the essentials on my field of view is more than enough to get me excited
@@maikelbarahoa6612 I’d say, buy them but make sure you can return them as I believe 95% of people will buy and never use them past the first week or two.
Would be nice if this tech came as a kit that could be attached to any pair of glasses…
@@pit5000 that would be insane! 🤝
The stuttering on the Airpods actually happen with me since I have the Ultrahuman....... And I have no G1.....
That's interesting, maybe they somehow clog the bandwidth with inefficient requests. Super weird. Thanks for letting me know!
Its not really supposed to be a replacement to the phone. It's an aid your reviewing like a replacement to the phone
Great! Video not sure why the video hasn’t got more views
For me to adopt i need chat gpt voice features through glasses. I need to be able to converse with chat gpt , then also see stuff in vision on request.
the glasses looks good on you, look like normal glasses, very cool...too bad since still PoC, quite expensive
A good idea is, driving assistance on this glasses. Like say live digital speed
Imagine watching TH-cam on your glasses, some company needs to do it!
@@enam0001 then you need VR glass lol
Will you still get them despite all the issues? And if so, for what would you use them?
real time translation info and mapping as those would be important for travelers
Very useful review. Thanks a lot! ❤
Ps, I want smart glasses that are NOT obvious and all others are so +1 to this
Great advice 🙏🏾👏🏾🔥
Glad it was helpful, Raymo!
I don’t what you say. I’m still buying these glasses because they’re the first glasses that I know of that have a teleprompter.
The teleprompter was by far the worst disappointment. I hope they're more useful for you. I highly suggest you buy them in a way that you can return them if you should decide that they're not for you.
How can I cheat on test with these?
Very hard to believe for me if anyone would have these glasses and think "wow they're amazing I am so happy I spent 600-700 on them" 😂
Im hopeful. Just 5-10 more years.
Wow, thanks for sharing. Seems like a waste of $600 and the case is $150?
Thank u sir.😊
Only one screen shows notifications 😂 where’s my beer ?$?!?
@caspareisermann Agree with you. His video was honest yet practical.
If the price is reduced by half, then all problems will no longer be problems.
When I hear a German voice/accent talking about tech, I know its going to be VERY HONEST XD
can confirm 😂
All of the downsides seem to be based on a lack of features. This seems like a non-issue for my use case as I do NOT want much of any features aside from it being just a heads up display. I don’t need or want the ai components, I just want to be able to have the basics put in front of my face. Kinda like the EyePhone from Futurama 😂
Can the glasses read a question and answer it for you immediately?
I’d be interested if you could scan peoples power levels.
They are $600 dollars. Meta RB sounds like a good deal. Hope they are even cheaper on the Black Friday. I am waiting for Meta Orions though.
I wouldn't hesitate on the Meta RB's at all... IF you don't get self-conscious for having a camera on your face, and you're okay with the battery life (4-5 hours). I actually have a review for them on my channel, too.
Meta's Orions however... yeah, all in when they come out, hah!
Thanks for watching!
basically if google glasses and Humane AI had a baby.
how can you cheat in a exam with them
Does he have two watches?
- The AI assistant is better (because you can trigger it with words)
- The AI assistant is better again (because it can actually take actions)
- You have speakers to jump on calls, listen to music, etc
- You have multiple (!) really microphones to record notes, etc - again without touching anything
- You can take videos
And literally so much more.
