    I want to let you know that I've watched many, many videos, "many videos" about coding with NCS, and your videos are by far the easiest and the only one that I can actually watch through and remember the steps on the program others I have to watch while I'm doing the steps and I still get lost.. you're an excellent teacher! thank you

    Many thanks for the video! Helped me change the capacity. The previous owner of my car replaced the battery with a 100Ah and did not register it. Since I own an E60, the battery data is held in the CAS. 85Ah was held in the CAS. I was not able to change it to 100Ah but it is now 110Ah. Again, many thanks!

    I’m trying to do mine in the Power module as it’s E65 and it’s just not working... Still showing as 90amh in ista even when I coded it to 105amh

      Cause BMW dont know those capacites. You have to code 110ah or 90ah AGM/WETCELL, I had same problem with 100ah wetcell.

    I have a question. If I change the capacity and from agm to normal and code and then open ista d under register battery, then it shows the current battery, which doesn't match what I registered. It still shows the battery that was in it before

    Hi there. Fantastic video!!! Is there any chance you know if it is possible to enter a battery type that is not listed in NCS expert? For example I have a 105ah AGM battery but this is not on the list. Can I simply edit the text file directly like you show in the video with the 100ah example? Thank you!

    WHen you execute the coding, you reminded us to have the battery fully charged. Is the engine running when you code, or is in only on AUX mode?

      Aux mode.

      but for some diagnostics you can have engine on but for coding usually no.

      @@nabilishes definitely not okay. The Battery is 12 volts, while ignition requires 14 volts. Ignition may fry your battery charger.

      @@eldomart only true if the engine is running. Alternator is 14v . It's good practice to have a charger connected while coding. It's mandatory while programming. For coding and short jobs even a 5 amp charger is helpful. For programming modules which takes a long time.. 20 amp or more is recommended.

    This did not work for me. I followed another video instead. I believe the only difference was this: At 6:45 I believe you should choose execute job(F3), not read Ecu (F4). This was the only difference I noticed between your process and the one which worked for me on my E60. Thanks.

    How were you able to change it to 100AH, when executing the JOB, it would only work with either 90AH or 110AH changed in the MAN file.

    Fantastic video thank you so much for your help, was easily enough to follow! Question though.....why do you have to change the file name from .TRC to .MAN? why can't you just go directly into the .MAN file and save it like that? Thanks! :-)

    And diagnostic computer cant see anything, should I do like IT was at begining in your video. I mean 90ah and 90ah agm, both together?

    Have a question: I bought 95AH battery, but it's a AGM battery? Should I enter 95AH_AGM IN Man file? Or I just need to enter 95ah? Please let me know. Thanks

      @@colassolorzano6353 I didn't change any parameter. If you have right now a none AGM battery and you want to put in a AGM battery then you have to change it.
      I think this 5 Ah is not that much and its also ok if your battery has a bigger capacity than the parameter in NCSExpert.

      @@colassolorzano6353 You mean 90 Ah battery? They are pretty expensive. I bought one from Varta which has 95 Ah. The original BMW batterys are also coming from Varta they are just labeld by BMW

    Thanks for the video , I followed the steps and everything is ok , new trc file shows the new battery's ah but inpa still shows the old battery's ah .
    Do you know why?

      @@georgeromo2981 When coding a new battery, you must also go through INPA or ISTA D to tell the car it has a new battery. This tutorial is only in conjunction to telling the IBS sensor how much AMPS the car needs to start. This cable will shut down certain electronics to ensure the car will start.

      Honestly! If you don't understand why he is using Windows XP and you find this video confusing, do not attempt to use professional coding software on your car, chances are you will brick one of your ECU's... you should consider getting your BMW dealer, alternatively buy Carly or a Foxwell NT510 to register a new battery!

      @@glees8200 You actually can use Win 10 with compatibility settings back to Win 7. It works. Not the most linear setup, but there are good packages out there.
