I mean.... for Uncharted they used actual proper actors not just random interns reading the script, actors they mocaped together acting out those scenes, not just combat animation and a highly experienced director (Gordon Hunt). so its not like Uncharted, etc level of video game acting was normal at the time. its more common now, bit it didn't used to be and that acting even then was on part with live action productions. Movie's issues was that there was no heart to the writing. characters didn't feel like characters, they felt like excuses for action scenes/quip dispensers. The whole thing felt like it was written by an algorithm.
What I find so bizarre is why they had the ship battle in the first place. Each ship would be worth a fortune alone. So the bad guys could have secured the first ship, untie it, and THEN go after the protagonists. Even if they loss track of them, where would the protagonist take a galleon to? A town, a lone beach? It be pretty dam hard to hide a thing that big. An if the protagonists bail on the ship with the gold. The ship itself would still be worth millions, plus the value of the other ship and their share of the gold.

but were there ads during the film?
I've thought of them like that since Amazing Spider-Man
LMAO. Who the hell plays nintendo. They still on mario aren't they?
@@arcanea9598 Kinda like Disney is with Mickey Mouse.
Week 39 of asking for Honest TV Trailer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Loser.
please do
When you've been out-acted by PS3 cutscenes, there might be a problem.
I mean.... for Uncharted they used actual proper actors not just random interns reading the script, actors they mocaped together acting out those scenes, not just combat animation and a highly experienced director (Gordon Hunt). so its not like Uncharted, etc level of video game acting was normal at the time. its more common now, bit it didn't used to be and that acting even then was on part with live action productions.
Movie's issues was that there was no heart to the writing. characters didn't feel like characters, they felt like excuses for action scenes/quip dispensers. The whole thing felt like it was written by an algorithm.
Didn't pander to China every 45 minutes. Seems like the algorithm missed

After the first mention of "parkour", I was like, "if they don't say "Starring: Peter Parkour",...."
The Morse code comment at the end was awesome! I actually chuckled when I figured out what was going on.
The text is a spoof. It reads "I love HT... and twiiiiiins" . HT is HonestTrailers, i assume. Dunno what twiiiiiins is intended to represent. If you don't speak Morse, try an online morse-to-text tool with dots and dashes.
One of the best Honest Trailers I've seen. It makes me happier about not watching this film, honestly.
this honest trailer finally makes me finally happy about watching this expensive-fanmade-by-hollywood-inspired-by-the-game movie, beside Nolan's cameo.
You are doing well here.
Thanks for the love, care and support.

Blown away by the Wahlberg impression it was incredible
I just knew it was ACTUALLY Mark talking. Then I thought, "What? No."
Yeah, I would have bet money on it but I don’t think he would make fun of himself that freely haha
@@marcwinslow685 Right. Most of these celebs lack a sense of humor. 😏
when you put Boston and a crucifix in your script you summon Marky Mark is the best thing said on an honest trailer
Thanks for taking one for the team on this so no one else has to watch it. Hey, how about doing the new Green Lantern animated movie, Beware My Power?
In its defense, this movie did get me into the actual Uncharted franchise.
Just because actor is popular now, doesn't mean you have to cast him in all the current movies!
Funny how the wooden ships withstood all the impact on mountain and conveniently shatter to pieces when the plot demanded sure puts the Titanic to shame when it could not survive a scratch off the iceberg.
All of this is hilarious but for some reason I'm stuck laughing at Peter Parkour and Tom Raider like I'm 5
Haven’t even seen this movie and the “cave Troll” comment had me dying. Love your videos!
Maybe hold off on video game adaptations until you get screenwriters that don’t have a seething hatred for video games. I still don’t know how we live in a world where Sonic the Hedgehog is the gold standard for these things.
I still weep for Gore Verbinski's Bioshock adaptation. He really seemed to appreciate the source material and could have done the game justice.
Or Detective Pikachu
Halo... most writers/producers of these 'adaptations' haven't even played the games and don't understand why fans love them so much
Thank God for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 atleast.
Imagine thinking Sonic movies are good.
The cave troll part made me laugh out loud thank you 😭😭🤣
I literally unintentionally swear in my own language out of listening to the sarcasm of the narrator of this video.. comedy level off the charts🤣🤣
This was way better and more entertaining than the actual movie
Seriously guys! Do demolition man! I have been begging you guys for this movie for almost 2 years!
Thank you Uncharted for reminding us of what live action movie adaptations of video games are supposed to feel like. I was beginning to set expectations after two Sonic movies, but now I know better.
So, uh.... How's Mario treated you recently?
"But when Marky Mark remarks on your mark, mark my words, you're Marky Mark's next mark" LOL!!!!!😆😂😂
Given my 1st name, it could read, "Mark heard, 'But when Marky Mark remark on your mark, mark my words, you're Marky Mark's next mark'", quoted Mark.
Thank you for roasting them! They made their money, so they can take a little ribbing. You guys have gone a little soft in some trailers. Marky mark jokes were my favorite 🤣
By the end I was convinced that the words "Holy Sh**" made up about 50% of the script.
The "Kitty Got Wet" bar name is a reference to a quote from the games...
I literally thought “this is like the Mummy but worse” after watching this!
😭 you’re so right in that Tom Holland has grown up to be a total one note actor aka the literal Mark Wahlberg
Can't believe he didn't compare free guy to Westworld
Full code is in higher frequency. It starts today.
Holy moly that Marky voice was incredible!
This channel shows me all I need to see of modern films. Saving tons of money I probably wouldn't have spent away. 😉
I tried watching this but couldnt, I mean the film itself, not the Honest Trailer - this is excellent :D
Honest Trailers are, more often then not,
the best thing about the movies they mock.
This channel is the reason way I'm always shouting 'Parkour! Parkour!' everytime I saw parkour in big screens, unconsciously even in cinema lol
"When you put a Crucifix and Boston in your script, you summon Mark Whalberg" LMFAO!!
If i wanted to see the airplane scene from Uncharted 3 on the big screen, I would just re-watch the Living Daylights.
THANK YOU
It's movies ripping off games ripping off movies. It's the entertainment snake eating its own tail.
They actually did the Morse code one 😂😂😂😂
"from the Disney of gaming"
That's technically Nintendo so you already off to a bad st-
"And the EA of film"
Ahh, ok, now we're getting back on track.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking this haha
"2 boston Jabronies." XDDDDDD thats the title! you cant stop me from calling it that now!
Super fantastic script & commentary 👍👍👍🎊🎊🎊
