Each state is represented by one building only, which is the tallest one in the state. In architecture there is a difference between the term of "Building" and "Tower". It is classified as a "Building" only if at least 50% of its height is made up of floor plates containing continuously habitable floor area. While "Tower" is a tall structure, always taller than it is wide, and are self-supporting or free-standing, which means no wires for support, meant for public or regular operational access by humans, but not for living in or office work. So, other than "Buildings" it is all an exception in this video such as Stratosphere Tower, bridge towers or pylons, arch, transmission towers, guyed mast, chimneys, sculptures and most large statues and obelisks, etc. Thanks for watching!

You know it's sad when the tallest building in your state is a dorm building for colleges. Yay Wyoming
What's it like living in Wyoming?
Apristal it's really dry. It's really really easy to get sunburned here in the summer because it's in the mountains with no humidity to scatter the sun. The summers are scorchers (100°F+ and the winters are freezing (-30°F). It's windy as all hell and there's not anything much to do.
It's gorgeous. There's trees and fields and mountains like no other. It's a tightly knit and quiet place like no where else. There's amazing schools and historic sites a round every corner. Everyone here is somehow connected. If you meet someone from Wyoming in another place, it's an instant bond. Yellowstone National Park and Devils Towers are just some of the amazing attractions that draw thousands a year. There's almost no crime and it's friendly. We welcome everyone. We have everything here from deserts to swamps to rivers to mountains to gysers and hot springs. It's a truly amazing place to live and there's no place for me like Wyoming.
Hey! Not sad at all. A tall building is a tall building.
It's sad, cedar points top thrill dragster in Ohio is double the size of your tallest building

I find it funny how the tallest building in Vermont is overtaken by hundreds of other buildings in NYC
And even my building is taller than that...
Yes, well, the island of Manhattan has more than two and a half times the population of the state of Vermont, crammed into less than half a percent of the area. They HAVE to stack things on top of each other, just to make everything fit.
What's so surprising by that? NYC has over 8 million
@@seanthe100 it's not really surprising. I just find it fascinating. The city with the tallest building in Vermont is called Burlington and it literally faces the same river that NYC faces. It's such a massive contrast and I don't know what it is but there's something so fascinating about it; at least for me. Btw, the fact that it has 9 million people doesn't necessarily mean it needs to have so many skyscrapers. I'm from London, a city with a population just a little higher than NYC's, and we don't even come close to having as many skyscrapers as NYC.

You would expect it to be Utah 🥶
Ok so
So are we all just gonna ignore the dead person lying on the stairs in South Carolina
Time stamp?
2:46
@@s1mplem4gic58 2:45, but I doubt that's a dead person.
@@dylanja thanks but yeah I doubt that too 😂
Maine's tallest building is a church! 😂😂😂
Churches historically were supposed to be the tallest structure.

Me: "That's pretty Epic" scrolls back down to this comment to say this.
Waiting for Texas be like
Invader Pikachu Go Texas
Invader Pikachu I was waiting for California.
Invader Pikachu texas ranks 5
Fuck yea TEXAS
Everything’s bigger here!
1:16 honestly that building looks pretty modern for 1985 ! 3:49 is even crazier wow !
Who else knew New York was going to be first?
Chicago used to be the 1st
@itz pro until some idiot decided to make one twin tower instead of rebuilding the towers
And they don’t even look identical
American Airlines ur prob mad cus you can only crash into 1 now
@@itzpro5951 count the antennas, like they did for new york, and it still is.
literally everyone
Number 1 NEW YORK tallest building height is 1776
Necel Cruz that’s crazy
Necel Cruz that's the date independence was signed #nyny
No duh
PikaPlays24 wat did you say
Ive stood under it before it makes you feel insanely dizzy
some of these states could move a place up on the list by bolting a trash can to the roof.
As a Michigander, I believe Vermont’s tallest building looks like an apartment building on Cummings Ave
Bro kinda odd name for that ave
@@zanderisgaming8726 yeah bro ngl
@@tbird2013 that’s detroit for ya
I live in in Tennessee and that's not the at&t building
It's the Batman building 😎😎😎😎
Aesthetic Pineapples hahah I live there too
Glowing Dots No it’s not
There are like 20 cranes in downtown Nashville building go up every where. 100 people move to the Nashville area every day.
Louisville is catching up lol
Aesthetic Pineapples ur from Tennessee? Cuz ur the only ten-I-see lol
Btw, the AT&T Building is also called the Batman Building. WAY better name.
Tennessee is nice
Vector Clasher that is what I said
The "Batman Tower" name would be more appropriate to the John Hancock Center in Chicago. Black, 2 tall antennas, and a beautiful crown of lights which makes it look like Batman's eyes
There is a new taller building in tennessee now tho
Vector Clasher yup
I don't know why, but the fact that Vermont's tallest building isn't even a historic building but just some random apartment block doesn't surprise me at all.
This was made with a calibre of excellence that makes me proud to be an American! All of the history and memories inside our American cities, brings tears of joy.
As a person from Chicago, no one calls it the willis tower. We still call it sears. Only people out of Chicago do (goes for poeple out of cook County.)
But the building is called the Willis tower. It's no longer owned by sears.
@@teriww IK but everyone where I live (in Chicago) call it sears still. Idk
Lol I am from Cook county and I know it by the name of Willis Tower haha you right.
I am from cook county and I call it sears tower
So true I'm also from Chicago

Holy crap. I expected Georgia to be in the top 15, but top 4?!???! I didn’t expect that
Nick Lounsbury it's #5 now I think cause Pennsylvania went up to #3 and California went to #4.
Let me tell ya, Atlanta is a lot bigger than everyone thinks it is and just Georgia in general. I've got a buddy from up north and he couldn't believe how fast it was growing. He thought all of the south was the same.
Same here brother
Oml i would always see dat tower and i like hmmmmm i wounder if dat if da tallest tower in atlanta

I love how the state with the tallest building borders the one with the smallest one
it's not literally the smallest building in the USA
Seriously; since I discovered this channel I am late for EVERYTHING. Just sat in my underwear watching video on video when I’m supposed to be going to work 🙃

Wow, I highly doubt that is the biggest building in Vermont. Even the billboards are bigger!
Oh wait...
Billboards ain’t buildings hehe ok
I know right, i was like "what the hell thats not even big"
the building i live in is 27 floors tall while that building in vermont is 11
Guys... billboards are illegal in Vermont.

Other states: how cute
Man. It’s weird to think how many years the Sears tower in Chicago was the world’s tallest building-all through my childhood. Now, it’s not even the tallest in the U.S. (or even called Sears Tower)
Yeah New Yorkkk 😁👌🏽
I think the Sears Tower is taller if you remove the antennas
@@ChuckE.CheesesIllinois nope. Central Park tower is 1,550 feet and that’s all the way to the top floor. No antenna or spires.
That moment when you feel so good because your city is in the top 5
You from Houston too.
Not Bad when you feel soo good because a skyscraper in Poland is way higher than most of these buildings
Not Bad or when its number 1 because I live in new York do u
Same.
Anyone from Atlanta like me?
My high school is taller than the tallest building in Vermont... lol sad 😔 🤣
Rudy Marquez Nothing to be sad about, It just reminds you that your not in a overpopulated state 😀

Rudy Marquez fuck kind of high school you got
That's a damn tall high school you got there.
fr the 800 building taller than that bihh
I love the music in this video. It’s so energetic and I love this type of music especially from NCS. It hypes me up sometimes. Fight me.
Very interesting, thank you.
Notice how the tallest buildings of New Jersey and New york face each other being separated by the hudson river.
What the fuck. We need a taller building in the US.
billy mccabe bruh half of the country is in danger of earthquakes
RESMİME BAK No it isn't and if they were to build one in an earthquake zone it would be built to withstand the earthquakes.
We have tall buildings, but they shouldn't all be in New York
Koopa Kool yea we have some tall buildings but nothing even close to the ones in the Middle East. Also considering the freedom tower is the tallest in the US I bet people want to keep it that tallest building and will take it as a disrespectful gesture to build higher. I hope not but I suspect that'll be the case.
we did the twin towers held a world record i am pretty sure
Imagine the damage done if Decker Towers falls OMG!
underrated comment
Update: As of September 2018, the tallest building in New Jersey is 99 Hudson St in Jersey City. It has 79 stories and 900 feet tall.
I can jump off of Vermont’s tallest building and still live, fuck outta here Vermont 😂
Jokes.
The Thiccest Widowmaker Vermont has a talking building? 😂
BrickBoy117 Rip
Are you Batman?
I was going to get mad for you bashing my homeland then i saw jokes. Also, thats not the biggest building, resorts in the moutains are well... resort sized?
it seems smaller on a screen.
I like how the beat drops perfectly to the reveal of One World Trade Center in New York....lol

I'm from South Dakota, I find it extremely funny that when #50 was showing I was thinking "I bet South Dakota is next," and it was.
Seattle Skyline Underrrated
Dunno about that. It's very recognizable. I'd put it in the top five with NYC, Boston, Chicago, and Denver
Vancouver is better.
Charles Wróbel
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, and Las Vegas all beat Boston and Denver in terms of their skylines...
San Francisco, yes. LA and Houston, no
LA and Houston both possess impressive supertall skyscrapers, while neither Boston nor Denver can say the same. I still like both Boston and Denver's skylines, but I just find LA and Houston's more impressive. But that's just my opinion (it's pretty hard to quantify and compare skylines), and I respect your opinion.
I don't know why I love skyscrapers? I'm scared shitless of heights......lmao!!
Mike C. I love them too, especially the tallest ones
MegaAirplanelover i love the shortest skyscrapers
Bubba J lol, they are huts; the whole point of a building being a skyscraper is cause of its height
I think its very cool when walking on some of those landmarks that some of your favorite celebrities have been standing right there. It kinda hits different
For each U.S. _territory's_ tallest building, Ocean Tower in Bellevue, Virgin Islands (at 94 ft / 29 m) is shorter than Vermont's entry, followed by the Aleki Sene, Sr. Telecommunications Center in Tafuna, American Samoa (40 ft / 12 m). Taga Tower in Garapan, Northern Mariana Islands (212 ft / 65 m) comes between the entries for South Dakota and Maine. After Idaho's entry comes the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. (329 ft / 100 m), followed by Caribbean Sea View in San Juan, Puerto Rico (333.9 ft / 101.8 m), itself followed by Mississippi's entry. Finally, Oceana B in Tamuning, Guam (377 ft / 115 m) comes between Delaware's and Kansas' entries.
Who came here to see their state???
