I like the face oil mixed with the concealer. It looked very smooth on your skin. Also the bronzer used across the nose and cheeks was very flattering. Great ideas to try. Your hair looks so pretty! I love the soft bouncy curls - really suits you.
Good morning! Those are definitely my two favorite hacks as well and I hope you'll have fun trying them. I'm glad you liked the hair look--hair is always one of my biggest challenges. lol Have a wonderful weekend.
Wow, you hit the nail on the head there with the MUA skills on display thanks to the Befores/Afters of Hollywood actresses. Tbh, some of those actresses look completely different after experiencing the magic of their MUAs. I wasn't obsessed by how perfect these ladies seemed to be (looks-wise, that is) but I did really envy their genetics. Then I got to see them without the magic of makeup. Holy Cow. I'm still fascinated by "The Magic of Makeup"....
Hi Johanna--Holy cow is right! Makeup really can be magical . . . it's always a fascinating ride for those of us who have fun with it and like to experiment a bit. You never know what interesting new innovations and approaches are right around the corner. Wishing you all the best, my friend.
What a great topic for a video. I’ve always found that most of the makeup hacks I’ve come across are for younger people but all the ones you demonstrated worked well on you, so I feel encouraged to give some of them a try.
Hi, Kay--I think you'll have fun giving these a try. If you do give them a try, please let me if you found any that you really liked. I'm using the concealer with face oil more and more often. Have a wonderful weekend, Kay.
Hi, Mary Ann--Yes, Rose Marie is a real treat and she has so many wonderful products in her RMS line. So glad you enjoyed the video, my friend. Sending warm wishes your way.
Thanks so much Elise for the makeup artists tips and hacks. Loved the video. It’s so nice to try different makeup applications. Never heard of any of these so that was so nice for you to share. Loved the blush tip by Scott Barnes even if I may not quite start with that much blush. It was humorous watching you trying to tone it down. RMS has really been putting out ads. I like the artist’s idea of where to put the bronzer. Face oil with concealer mixed together is another look I loved. I haven’t tried face oil instead of powder highlighter but it did look lovely. 🤩
Hi, Pam--I'm so glad you enjoyed it. These were especially fun hacks to try. I'm definitely going to keep using the face oil one and perhaps the bronzer. If you give any of them a try, I'd love to hear your thoughs on them. All my best to you, Pam.
Hi, Sherry--I do hope the healing is going well. I'm sure it must be so frustrating and challenging, but hang in there. Many thoughts and prayers are being sent your way, dear lady.
Hi Elise! The oil and concealer combo made your skin look so smooth! I love all these tips, maybe with the exception of the blush. I’ll give it a try though. Have you ever tried applying lipstick then hold a one-ply piece of tissue over the lips and tapping on loose powder? I saw someone do this a few years ago. It’s supposed to add longevity to the lips. I can’t see the need nowadays with all the long wearing lipsticks on the market. I was just curious if you had heard or tried it. The bronzer across the nose and out is a beautiful look. Many years ago Clinique or Lancôme had a product that I used the same way and unfortunately I can’t remember what it was. I used the entire compact. Thank you so much for this wonderful video. You look gorgeous! Have a great day and weekend!❤
Ah, Lisa--thanks so much for your very kind words. I didn't expect to like the bronzer across the nose with my skin tone, but I do think it creates a lovely look. Yes, that tissue over the lips with powder does indeed work, but I tend to usually go with one coat, then tissue and then another coat.--but of course it really depends on the lipstick formula as you point out. Enjoy your weekend, dear lady.
Oops. I'm a bit late to this video, but here's my two cents: the concealer + face oil tip is one I'd never heard before, and it looks amazing on your skin, Elise. Did it wear well through the day? Have you tried it again since filming this video? I don't use oil on my face (I don't care for the feel of it), but perhaps a liquid-y moisturizer or sunscreen could be used instead... Hmmm. I might just experiment with that. I do enjoy this type of tips-by-pros video. Thanks for sharing these gems with us!
Hi, Sue--I've never been a fan of face oil either so I was pretty amazed by how this worked and looked. And mixed with the concealer it really didn't feel oily. It did wear well and I've enjoyed trying it several gimes since doing that video. Have fun experimenting with different options and I'd love to hear how they work for you. Best wishes.
Great tips! The face oil mixed with concealer… Chef’s Kiss! That looks so beautiful on your skin! I love RMS Beauty. I purchased Rose Marie’s bronzer in Beachwalk Betty and it’s one of my favorites.
Hi, Paula--I've heard such good things about that RMS shade. Just wondering if you have dry skin . . . . I have very dry skin so I've been hesitant to try this powder formula even though I know it's supposed to be more hydrating than most powders. So glad y ou enjoyed the video. The concealer with face oil is definitely my fave.
