I used to be heavily against “fakes” aka UA’s in the past. I just couldn’t rock with that, they HAD TO BE real/authentic. But with sneakers being so difficult to get nowadays, and resell being so high, I’m totally ok with going the UA route. Especially for high coveted sneakers. Like Chris mentioned, they look damn near IDENTICAL, you wouldn’t even be able to tell (unless paired side by side) they definitely make them with the same material(s). I have over 70+ pairs of sneakers, with about 5 of them being UA’s. As I’ve gotten older, I stopped caring about what others think or being judged lol and you also gotta keep your priorities straight. So why spend $2k+ and put your hard earned money in a resellers pockets, when you can pay LESS than retail, saving YOURSELF money and keeping that money IN YOUR pockets? You’ll have a great pair of sneakers that you’ll totally be happy with and wear with confidence 😎
Literally couldn't agree more. Sneakers are meant to be rocked and enjoyed not an investment. I am waiting on my first UA (mocha TS high) these are next, for the backwards swoosh and the colour. Spend less on sneakers & get good fits. I'll keep trying on snkrs tho I expect an L every damn time

Right? People been talking about how it would have looked better with a black toe etc. Little did we know this is an OG unreleased colorway. One cool thing I dig about the Travis Scott collabs is how he utilizes OG stuff like that. Like how the lows are OG low cuts, big swooshes etc. Not like how the lows are now.

I remember in middle school/Highschool going to a flea market and buying Air Force ones and Jordan’s for 60-80 bucks and they stood the test of time. Nowadays it’s weird people making fun of people wearing “reps”. I ain’t paying more than 120 for a pair of shoes. Ever.
UA is for me. No stress of not getting the pair then trying to see when its best time to buy. I can't pay crazy resell. Any shoe over 300 is insane to me. I buy my UA pairs and I get them in two weeks. The quality is always amazing and feels just like retail pairs of shoes. I've honesty had more defects in my retail pairs then in my UA. I have 8 retail of great shoes(off white dunks, travis 6s and etc) and 9 UA. I'm telling you its all the same materials!

Copped a pair of Sbb lows on snkrs and was super hyped. The first pair I copped off snkrs in a while. When they came I was beyond disappointed with quality control. My right shoe had a completely different white leather panel then my left shoe, which was super tumbled. The right shoe was super stiff while the left shoe broken in really nicely. I still wear them but it’s just super disappointing that the quality can’t be the same on each shoe
My cousin picked up some Travis Scott low fake. Apparently china has different tiers of fakes with tier 3 being the highest. Paid 150 and are identical to what Nike put out. What nightwing is saying is absolutely right. Why pay resale if I can reach out to a factory in china pay 150 or less and get the exact same sneaker and no one knows the difference unless they grab the sneaker off your foot in the street and tries to spot check it which no one is gonna do.

I don't mind paying like $50-$100 over retail if I REALLY LOVE a certain shoe. But as for something like this, I'll just cop a UA if I can't hit on a retail pair. I got this shoe (the Travis Scott/Frags) the UA for $120 shipped, and they're absolutely amazing! The leather is CRAZY! I don't give a F what anyone says, you can't tell the difference.
After your video on the travis fragment lows I went hunting for reps and ordered my first pair. Haven't gotten them in yet but from the pics they look basically the same and they cost 1/10th of what resell is. Nike doing super-limited releases along with backdooring and hypebeasts with their parents' credit cards are really screwing things up for the vast majority of us. If these reps are fire in person I'm never going back to resell.

Yeah just got my high and low pairs of these fragment Travises and checked how much resell price is and i got like a bit mad eventhou my pairs are replicas. I got so good low replicas that i have seen crappier retail pairs and thats like good for me but if you have retail pair that has same flaws with replicas i would be mad.
Also, Weartesters is not promoting buying fakes/UAs, the message is that you don't have to pay absurd amounts of money for something that has a very high risk of being a fake/counterfeit.

I remember in middle school/Highschool going to a flea market and buying Air Force ones and Jordan’s for 60-80 bucks and they stood the test of time. Nowadays it’s weird people making fun of people wearing “reps”. I ain’t paying more than 120 for a pair of shoes. Ever.

UA is for me. No stress of not getting the pair then trying to see when its best time to buy. I can't pay crazy resell. Any shoe over 300 is insane to me. I buy my UA pairs and I get them in two weeks. The quality is always amazing and feels just like retail pairs of shoes. I've honesty had more defects in my retail pairs then in my UA. I have 8 retail of great shoes(off white dunks, travis 6s and etc) and 9 UA. I'm telling you its all the same materials!

Copped a pair of Sbb lows on snkrs and was super hyped. The first pair I copped off snkrs in a while. When they came I was beyond disappointed with quality control. My right shoe had a completely different white leather panel then my left shoe, which was super tumbled. The right shoe was super stiff while the left shoe broken in really nicely. I still wear them but it’s just super disappointing that the quality can’t be the same on each shoe
My cousin picked up some Travis Scott low fake. Apparently china has different tiers of fakes with tier 3 being the highest. Paid 150 and are identical to what Nike put out. What nightwing is saying is absolutely right. Why pay resale if I can reach out to a factory in china pay 150 or less and get the exact same sneaker and no one knows the difference unless they grab the sneaker off your foot in the street and tries to spot check it which no one is gonna do.

I don't mind paying like $50-$100 over retail if I REALLY LOVE a certain shoe. But as for something like this, I'll just cop a UA if I can't hit on a retail pair. I got this shoe (the Travis Scott/Frags) the UA for $120 shipped, and they're absolutely amazing! The leather is CRAZY! I don't give a F what anyone says, you can't tell the difference.
After your video on the travis fragment lows I went hunting for reps and ordered my first pair. Haven't gotten them in yet but from the pics they look basically the same and they cost 1/10th of what resell is. Nike doing super-limited releases along with backdooring and hypebeasts with their parents' credit cards are really screwing things up for the vast majority of us. If these reps are fire in person I'm never going back to resell.

Yeah just got my high and low pairs of these fragment Travises and checked how much resell price is and i got like a bit mad eventhou my pairs are replicas. I got so good low replicas that i have seen crappier retail pairs and thats like good for me but if you have retail pair that has same flaws with replicas i would be mad.

Also, Weartesters is not promoting buying fakes/UAs, the message is that you don't have to pay absurd amounts of money for something that has a very high risk of being a fake/counterfeit.
"whatever floats your boat" is right. Can't be selling limited quantities and then having people paying ridiculous amounts of money to resellers. Fakes will be the way to go until sneaker companies say enough is enough and finally do something about it.
I don't mind if people were fake pairs of shoes but the problem is when they try to sell it in resell price and mostly they flex it saying they got real pairs from stock or somewhere from legit place.. .

I see you ruffled some feathers on Twitter with your vid. 😂 Personal I can’t do fakes but I understand why others do and anything that hurts the resale market is ok in my book. I feel that the sneaker game needs balance and right now everything is in favor of the reseller which is killing the essence of the culture. I’m too stuck in my ways to go the UA route but I’m not mad at the people that do.

these are IMO one of the best looking, FIRE AF piece of art.....I have this pair and a Nike Dior 1. I don't wear them. I just can't. They are museum pieces, works of arts.....I will pass them down to my kid.
