Whoever it was definitely wore their sneakers without fear of causing any damage! Luckily after dropping them off for a deep clean we were able to repair the scuffs and scratches that come from years of wear. Before we get into teaching you exactly how to repair those; we need to start with a clean canvas!
To clean the sneakers we start with a deep clean using the Essential Cleaning Kit. Now these are a leather sneaker and incredibly expensive, so we do not recommend putting these in the washing machine! This specific pair wasn't overly dirty, so it didn't need too much of a clean up, but there was quite a bit of debris on the inside of the sneaker. One thing to note when cleaning this pair specifically is that there can be some serious color bleed!
After the cleaning process was completed it was time to move over to the repainting process and repair process. However, first we needed to put them in the Vick 2000 to whiten the white leather on the sneaker. When you are repairing scuffs and scratches it is important to sand down the sneaker to make the surface smooth prior to painting. As you can see a repaint isn't just pick one bottle of paint and everything works, it is important to mix the paint to get the perfect match.
Painting sneakers is quite the process, it comes with taping the shoe, prep work, the paint and finishing it with a matte finish.
The final step was to rewax the sneakers. Wax can be removed from the sneaker while cleaning, but it is a repairable thing. Follow these simple steps!
Scuffs and scratches can be irritating to say the least, but one thing to note is that they ARE repairable! Follow these simple steps and you can restore your sneakers too!

Vic you gotta get yourself some Princeton Velvet Touch brushes, 100x better than those budget craft store packs, last longer, tighter lines, less splaying and only about $7 a brush. You won't regret it, I promise. 👏
I don’t really take care of my brushes so these cheap ones do the trick. But the Princeton ones are really nice!
Makes sense! When it comes to crispy lines by hand, even straight from the pack those ones can be iffy sometimes. I used them for years and got quite a few bad ones or ones that get ruined from one job, so I'm sticking with Princeton from now on. Always great work either way, I just know it helped me out a lot and with how much longer they last, so it was worth the switch for me. @@Vickalmighty

why didn't you use acetone before painting?
The sand paper gave quite a smooth finish and also removed unwanted paint.

Usually, no mixing is required.

It's Angelus paints. Honestly, a lot of paint mixing is just trial and error until you get the right tone.

ive been wanting this shoe for so long, its a grail to me, whats a reasonable price worth paying used and new?
Instead of using black or white to lighten or darken your colours, using shades of grey gives you more leeway when you need to alter the colours.
Also, which krylon spray paint do you use?
