I had my ffs set too low causing a lag when I shifted. Thanks everyone for the nice comments about it though 🤣 also wanted to add that the car is tuned by the best in the business JST! 🤘
I thought u did a great job driving. I could be wrong but I thought u slightly let go of the gas pedal when you shift. If so I suggest keep it pressed all the time during shifts. I'm assuming u doing 40s in 2nd gear and not 3rd so props to u. I had the same set up u have back in 2014. Check out my old videos. U won't see any lag between shifts but u must keep the pedal pressed at all times. Now I have a big turbo RS
Cescobaby these were all 50 rolls starting in third. I didn’t let off it’s just something up with how I had my ffs set up. It will be fixed for round 2
A well tuned fbo ST with a little weight reduction should be able to run even with a stock E92 V8 M3. Big turbo Szt with around 360 whp/410 crank and 300 lbs less weight should be able to beat a light modded E92 M3.
Sad but true, they're cool cars, but their engines are hilariously unreliable. Remember when I was looking around at buying one, and practically all of the ones I looked at had less than 75k miles and already had to have an engine or trans swap.
My stock turbo, e30+ FBO FoST , smoked a 2010 M3, 2018 3 series with bolt ons and tune. I keep up with skat packs and 5.0s all the time. PEOPLE HATE THAT MY ST GETS BUSY. Big Turbski coming in 2 months.
e30/fbo/stock turbo FoST will not keep up on the top end with the v8's...you can destroy them on a track and in the twisties, but open road, you better show video proof because the power simply isnt there.. I know because i have a 2016 ST with fbo/e30 and have for over 3 years...i tear up fully modded 5.0's and high powered STis/EVOs on the back roads and the track..until theres a long straight....i finally just dropped a bigger turbo in and its in the process of getting on the road and re-tuned by Brian. A sub 300whp car will NOT pull or hold a SCAT pack or 5.0 on the top end...
If I didn't live in California I could have modded my ST instead of buying a 5.0, the st was way more comfortable and honestly the 6 speed felt much more accurate

How many whp are you making? I just bought a gtx2860r gen 2 for my 17 St, and getting tuned by Brian as well. And I am planning to add aux fuel and a 3" cat back exaust in the future, my goal is to get around 400whp. But the way, nice kills there, love it!
nicknicolosi1 thanks I’m probably right at 400whp. If you have access to e85 in your area I’d personally recommend that and aux fuel over a wmi setup. Brian is the man. Good luck with your build
That M3 had to have Nos or a supercharger on it to run away from you like that my 2014 st with just Stg 2 and E50 could run with a close friends stock 2013 M3 coupe off the line and in rolls from about 50 to 110. Then his stock 415 hp V8 M would pull away. This M3 here was a convertible which is 180 lbs heavier than the coupe. And my stock 2014 5.0 could slowly pull on that same buddy's M3 and then his replacement of the M3, a 2010 E60 M5 V10, I could run him even until about buck twenty five+ before his 500 hp took over. So lije I was saying you must be under 370 whp or that V8 M3 was packing Nos or blower to run away like he did, especially when you gave stock A10 2019 5.0's a run. The 2018 bolt on manual 5.0 was in need of a good stick shift jockey.
Sorry to say but y’all got the wrong turbo fella, gtx 3076 is what y’all should have bought, once them v8s start running FBO with e40 with a tune you will be toast a gtx3976 will give you a fighting chance. Always remember “the party starts at 5 ( 500whp) but you will need 6 to get on the dance floor, do you have your dance if shoes?” I had a 6262, gtx3582 gen1 and now I 6266 gen 2 in my evo 8 . I love it. FBO Mustangs , z06 Chevy z L1strikes no fear in my hart when I see them on the highway 👍🏿🎉 I got my dancing shoes on 😄😄.

@RS1 Well, I have a 1500hp 1993 mustang. The cage itself was close to 7k. My texas speed 427 was close to 25k. Plus about 20k in other mods from wheels to suspension to carbon fenders/hood/doors/trunk. I had a 427 that we built with close to 1000hp to the wheels but we needed to shave a second off. So last year we got a TSP crate and a powerglide. Technically it's my dad's car, but when he died 2 years ago I got it and I've dropped about 30k into it since.
If you still want to be relevant when those stangs start to Add spray or boost to their set up, sell that baby. Turbo and get that gtx3584rs , that turbo On your built motor will put u in the 800 whp game and you still be able to hand those FBO mustangs some gap sause.

ur 5.0 might be fast but is it faster then a fully carboned piece st gutted and a 5.0 inside with a whipple supercharger no it ain’t :/ no hate love the 5.0 but why buy it when I spend 16k more and put a 5.0 in myself and fully mod the exterior

I'd love to up my game on my '16 FoST (FBO, Cobb Stage3 93Oct tune currently) but I'd be worried about the reliability..anyone who's modded (not just bolt ons) knows once you start, it doesnt end. Every upgrade requires something else to upgrade..internals, axles, fueling, etc... with the BT in this video, is it just a bolt-in BT with factory fueling? Hanging with those guys I would assume its got at least bigger injectors (or an auxiliary set up), methanol, and a clutch upgrade...?

I track my car a few times a year so i know the clutch wont last long at all... just curious if you still have it, ever upgraded, or what? Ive been tuned with Brian at JST for e30/fbo for years now...but i was just tired of the lack of top end power.

It always had the stock clutch and would only slip barely on occasion towards the end. It’s got another stock motor/turbo now and I’m just trying to sell it.

I'm only on my 3rd revision from Brian and still boost limited (16psi) on the BNR71, stock fuel. Once Brian is back from vaca this week I can hopefully get dialed in on 93 (which will have me maxed out around 380whp is my guess), then get my HPFP in and go for an E30 or E40 tune. I'm surprised how many of those v8's you ran down with 'only' around 400whp. The S550's i run with are almost all FBO and tuned which pushes them to almost 500whp..they weigh a bit more but I'd think up top they should pull on us..then again..they dont really RUN away from me..they just kind of walk away on the mile or two long stretches..but i easily catch up in the corners again.. I chose the BNR71 because it only has a tiny bit of lag over stock turbo (according to Alan at Edge) and i want to still enjoy how fast my car is in the twisties where i literally tear up super cars and highly modified V8's (at MSR Houston i passed every single car on track, was not passed once in 2 full race weekends in Novice class)...I wont mind humbling a few unsuspecting fast cars though on the straights once i can finally see what my set up feels like ^_^
It is for an ST as stock one is a k03 Maxing out at 290sh and the GTX can do 450whp on the ST 2.0.......anything much bigger will lag too much on that lil engine. Unless u are thinking of 16 wheelers or the turbo of a ship lol
@@laylow96 Not really. The 2867 is close to stock with its boost curve. So you still make boost at 2000 rpm. You can get a much bigger turbo and still be able to hit 20 psi of boost at 3500 rpm.

I think he's just doing it to have fun. The 2867r is not a huge turbo but provides a good jump in power compared to stock without tons of lag.

My GTI would of one against these cars. I do have 480 horsepower and 540 torque and I do quarter miles in Utah in 10.7.
