  • In less than a week, South Africans will go to the polls in the country's fifth election since it's democracy in 1994. South Africa has one of the youngest populations in the world and it's been accepted that this election will be won by the youth vote. CNBC Africa invited youth representatives from the various political parties to discuss policies pertaining to young people of South Africa and joined by, Mawethu Rune, National Head of the ANCYL Organising Committee; Rori Tshabalala, Youth Forum Convenor for AGANG SA; Timothy Mngomezulu, Provincial Leader of COPE Youth; Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, National Spokesperson for the Economic Freedom Fighters and Bongani Baloyi, Mayor of Midvaal representing the DA.

The male presenter is not allowing them to speak. He obviously has his opinion and that's not how it should be done.

The male interviewer did not do justice to the debate, it ended up not being a debate but his talkshow ....what a waste

...what a yoyo of a debate. No structure, loose content... But sham Mbuyiseni, this is not the kind of platform for intellectuals of your calibre.

This it the worst Debate I have ever seen. Badly moderated, poor Mbuyiseni Ndlozi had to be in the presents of such foolishnes #askieslavo . Both these presenters are shocking as far as journalistic and TV presenting skills go and the panelist (with the exception of Ndlozi) are all underwhelming. Good point though about no female representation, when will the mbhokodo be heard?

5 minutes in and I already know this interview is a non starter how does the facilitator enforce his opinions when he should be facilitating the debate then he cuts them off before they can complete their points! Ridiculous

Actually pretty foolish the opening statement that schooling should be free is impossible the country is in debt and free schooling would just raise taxes and by now people should see that the ANCs approach to help the black people more than others is only effecting them more

How is unreal? Go to forums that speak about the theft of resources. Mines, banks, business, corporate and you will see all the white people you want. They are not interested in the well-being of South African social politics. They only want a voice where the issues concern capital and resources they have been exploiting for decades. Now when those conversations are on the floor you will see NO black people. Do your digging before nitpicking!

@Gibson Ampaw You can call it whatever, at the end of the day there is one glearing fact. Europe is a resource poor region and its living off other people shit. What happens when these regions of the wold take their lands and resource? Tick, Tock.

@Gibson Ampaw IQ my ass. The people they came in contact with had pity on them and shared their resources. Europeans use people's kindness for a weakness. No more. Those days are over. And that's globally so you better hold to the little you have left.

Guys guys. These politicians they know how to speak. Its not easy being a president of a country especially in Africa. Even if we give EFF 5 days to lead South Africa it will go into ditch before a day break. People want power and when they get it then problems will start. In Africa there is nepotism. I would say Africa must be lead by a rich white man. There is less nepotism in whites and they're gifted to lead. I am black as but I know when I am given a position somewhere I will first think of my friends and relatives despite there are educated or not. I would say Don't get rid of white people in Africa. Look Zimbabwe situation from a bread basket to a bread borrower we don't have even our own currency. I believe that God gave white people talents to lead and creat things on earth. One would argue with me but I promise you no-one can challenge this. As Africans we accepted civilization so we did so we must learn from the people that brought civilization to us. White people came with technology here but now you want to chase them away before we acquire education. It will take more than a century from now for South Africa not to be dependent. How on earth can a black man lead a country and it will do well without whites???the books the cars the houses the cellphones were designed and made by whites. White people made basically everything that we are using now! Even the person that designed the chair your sitting and the aeroplanes that are flying. I am not saying black people can't do the same they can now make an aeroplane but only after educated by whites which clearly shows that us blacks we need still to learn from them. We were capable back then as blacks to make our own things when leaving in bushes and caves if we go back to that way of leaving then yes we don't need whites. But fir the fact that we want to leave like them and use money. We must allow them to take position to lead us Blacks! Us blacks we can only maintain what's there and create something using the methods that white people already experimented. The books we are busy studying technology are written by whites 99% of the books. I was in Piet Retief in Mpumalanga last week. I meet white farmers who are having tree plantations. I laughed. If you are in tree business(farming trees)that take 8 to 10 years to harvest how do you survive? Only whites and few blacks can do that. A black man to be able to sustain a farm like that he/she need to learn from a white farmer and read books written by whites. Look this farmer in Peit Retief he has more than 30 black people working for him. He is harvesting only after 8 year if not 10 (waiting period for a tree to grow mature)but he is paying his workers every month. He is paying tax,he is paying his bills (water and electricity)he is putting fuel in his cars every month. So now Malema would want to take land when he becomes a President and now people are currently talking about taking land from whites. They must be careful very very very careful because Zimbabweans did the same without having knowledge and education. South Africa will be like Zimbabwe in less than a year if you take the farms from whites. These people invested and they have years in this field. Now a black man will take a farm then obviously majority of them will not stay at those farms will do cellphone farming and majority will end up doing subsistence farming not commercial. Think carefully blacks please. As those people from other opposition parties questions. How are you going to do this. I am telling you. They can atter words and say will create jobs for all and youth will be employed? Chase whites and get employment??? Its a joke .

Archibald your people had a chance to lead us for 300 years. They FAILED. So stfu. I'm not gonna read this essay that's probably full of ignorance too. You can kiss our indecisive ass cause we will never let White people lead an African country when it's their brethren who steal and destroy them. This ignorance and intolerance is unacceptable, trying to racialize leadership skills, who the hell do you think you are?
