    Good review! What is your opinion about going for a second hand? What is the service cost, is it on a very higher side? I know the spare will be difficult to get.

    • @thehighwaychannel2746

      Pajero is a very capable car and our car is 8 years old. There are no major niggles provided you maintain it well. The cost at the company workshops were high but as you might know, not many showrooms are left. Thanks to a conventional drivetrain and no fancy electronics/gimmicks, a good mechanic can help with the maintenance and at a much cheaper cost. Our dealer has promised us parts for the next 2 years. But the way I look at it, these cars were made for Dakar and hence durability and endurance is the key. If it helps your decision, one thing I can tell you is that no other modern SUV can give you this level of aggression and raw feel as there is no fancy electronics to handle the power which is something I really appreciate. Check out my other video of the Pajero Sport Automatic if it helps😊

    You mentioned about using the lowest 4 wheel drive option for a steep inclined climb. But in the manual it says only for unpaved road. You think I can use it for extremely inclined paved/tar road with hairpin turns?

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically you can as this is a center diff lock and not rear axle diff lock but taking turns with the diff lock is never a good idea. They recommend not doing it. We have used to climb extreme inclines both on the paved and kaccha roads but wouldn't suggest turning if the roads are paved.

    What happens if we give full throttle? Will this SUV pull really hard?

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Like an animal. The best part about the Pajero is the way it delivers power. You can see in 3:40 how the car pulls and it was almost 80kmph there

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey. There ain't any obvious difference as such. The manual had sliding rear seats while the auto didn't. Maybe that could be a differentiator. We were told when we booked that this was from the initial CBU batch hence we know...

    On go can we change it to 4 wheel drive , can you please explain the how to do that

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can go from 2H and 4H and vice versa on the go at normal road speeds. For engaging the diff lock or the low range, you need to be stationary.

    What about mileage for automatic and manual

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For Auto - 11kmpl if you're on the highway with moderate foot (bw 80-100). City about 6kmpl.
      For manual- 12kmpl at best for a highway cruise, similar in the city as the auto.

    It sounds awesome compared to other SUVs? How is that?

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I honestly have thought of it so many times and did my small research, but couldn't find any proper reason. But I feel it's due to a more sophisticated valve system and using more belt driven components than chain compared to the Toyota's and Fords. Maybe it's really a fact that some engines are sweet to the ears

    Hows the availability of parts n hows the mileage

    • @Monk.ee_
      @Monk.ee_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i own the same! mileage is 8-10 in city on 2wheel drive and 12 -14 on 4 wheel, MID once showed 20 as well but i am doubtful if that really was the real mileage! Parts are scarce depends on where you live, but u can always install good aftermarket and it works the same or better!

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mileage in highway is in the region of 11-12 kpl (sedate driving). City is usually 7-9kpl.
      Parts are available in Delhi. We source our parts from Delhi. Also some specialists in south import parts from UAE.

    Used AT ps or 2011 montero?

    • @thehighwaychannel2746
      @thehighwaychannel2746  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would really doubt the reliability of Montero as maintaining it is very difficult. With Pajero, parts availability is still ok. But when it comes to the cars, it's like comparing a X3 20d and X5 30d.
