I have one of these at home that I'm about to remove the gearbox from front the 3rd time as I have a half-witted step son that also keeps breaking his car
currently taking the gearbox out on my ST on my driveway, taken all month because of tools I've needed and sockets I didn't have haha! good laugh, well done guys!
Ah thanks bro, this was naughty man!! I’m no way mechanically minded and this was awful to do kept smacking my fingers off sharp hard bits! Runs well now with the new diff! Good luck with yours bro
Hi 👋 issues with my fiesta engages all gears nice easy but 2nd gear seems to be a bit hit and miss some times will go in ok some times won't any suggestion
how long+- will this take for a experienced mechanic to loosen the gearbox? i have a quaife lsd and new competition clutch i want to have that mounted but can't do it myself haha.. so how long does it take to just loosen the gearbox alone, that was my mechanic's main question for a indication price
Hey man thanks for the comment, it would take around 2 - 3 hours max mate! I am definitely not a qualified mechanic but we got it out in around 2 hours with Matts assistance!!! Make sure you sub and are ready for when it comes back!!!!
@@flatoutgang yeah also have a st180 from november 2014 got it stage 3 recently with the x47r with pumaspeed stage 3r map, only things i need to upgrade to make it a real extreme track build is a better radiator a big brake kit and a rollcage and my lsd+comp clutch (which i already have at home) thats the only thing i need. i upgraded to ebc's with braided lines and yellowstuff pads 2days ago. So my first upgrade and prob the best upgrade soon is going to be my quaife lsd+comp clutch :D already have 4 strut bars fitted in the car :P

How is a short shifter not good for these boxes?
How much power will the stock trans hold?

Unfortunately this was the start of the problems on mine, have you got a quick shifter fitted?
