they were too lazy to hire someone that actually knows how to mix a live performance, thats why those videos from bvtv are so fucking well recorded, they have a crew to film, another to edit and another to mix the songs
@@void870 Well it's not even that, this was a production that can't be done live. The drums are all sound replaced, vocals are automated with various levels of processing, and several revisions. But yes the truck mixes are done on the fly with little prep by the person in the truck.
i hope tom is permanent man. like CG already took over the world but with tom i think they could do it again. especially with this new album. shit is fire.
I think they need Alex back.... This new album in my opinion just plain sucks.... Alex solodified the CG identity, but now this guy just doesn't live up to it...

100% live! :) It’s just mixed in post so that the levels all sound perfect for the video, it’s not the front of house mix that the crowd heard. Their sound guy kills it though, so even his live mix sounds nearly as good.
Jakob Lester usually they will send from either the FOH mixer or stage mixer to an audio interface and into a DAW. For this I don't know their signal flow and set up but that's the typical set up.
Mixer's these days can send multiple outputs to an interface or even are themselves an interface so we can multi track the live recording and have the ability to really mix it well later for video to give it that nice studio polish and punch!
I wasnt very impressed when they released the videos for dead rose and hostage. They were sick....but after watching these videos i digg em way more with Tom. Tom couldnt do wrong anywhere.
Saw Tom Barber perfrom with Lorna Shore a few years back, dudes energy was absolutley insane. Im really glad to see him moving on to bigger and better things, plus Lorna Shore's new vocalist kicks ass too.
Carries them now? or Carried them since he joined back in like 2012? Cause Jason Richardson was nuts whenever he did Ashes to Ashes and Evolve. I would argue that any band JR joined became significantly better. He's wild right now, but back then JR and Alex were the show stoppers, not Pablo.
Of course now, I always enjoy watching Pablo in the live performances. The Warped Tour Hostage performance is my favorite live performance of any fucking song ever. It's so crazy. And Tom is amazing too. You know what? The whole band is, but Pablo moreso.

Yeah, on CDs, but live he was awful. Couldn't hit any highs or lows consistently and constantly ran out of breath and would begin talking the lyrics.
