amedot shippers, unite with me here. i know peridot is aroace, so she'll never have romantic attraction to anyone, but, if i could ship peridot with someone, it'd be amethyst! i feel like lapidot would be a toxic relationship. amethyst and peridot have gotten along from the beginning, the episode "too far" made me start shipping them. how peridot went out of her way to apologize to amethyst in such a way is amazing. how amethyst strived to make peridot feel better after lapis just straight up DITCHED HER. ever since " raising the barn" , peridot and lapis have stopped talking to each other, really. they've never really interacted much since then. however, peridot and amethyst have maintained their friendship (thank god.) people started shipping lapidot just because they were barn-mates, and they completely ignored how lapis treated peridot like TRASH. while, amethyst and peridot's relationship was actually DEVELOPED. lapis treated peridot like garbage in "barn mates," and yet again in "raising the barn." which, she has never apologized for. and i don't believe she did off screen, because there's nothing on either lapis' or peridot's wiki page about it. please don't get angry at me, this is just my opinion. and my opinion isn't straight up FACTS.
