  • My latest project, I'm going to try and do something a little different this time around, I am going to build this one in real time (removing the parts from the forms, sanding/waxing, and assembling). Since I'm doing this real time experiment, I'm going to try and keep all the videos in this series under 30 minutes, so it may take more videos than usual...and I may change my mind after two videos if it isn't going well.

Just bought this and will watch your video for assembling :) did it require glue? I can't see in instructions where is says glue vs no. But they mention we won't get glue in the kit due to customs and have to source it ourselves.
Also they didn't provide wax for us.. I assume if I get some rub on wax from hardware that should suffice?

It does not require glue, there is a part where I had to use some very mild two sided tape to hold the globe panels on. The wax is just normal paraffin wax, so you should be able to source that from a hardware store, or possibly cosmetics store.
      Good luck!

It usually comes with the kit, it looks like a cut off candle, I've actually switched to using vaseline (thanks to a helpful comment) just because I found it easier to get in all the nooks and crannies of the gears.
