That is a GREAT little trick to have in your back pocket, especially going into hunting this fall! Im going shooting in the morning so im doing some last minute reloading this evening. Time to do some math on top of that! Thank you!
Definitely one of the better / under taught techniques out there. I have been shooting “seriously” for maybe 15 years, and only came across it 2 years ago when a shooting buddy luckily exposed me to it. Good vid though, got everything across that is needed to apply it with nothing wasted
can you just add that speed drop number of 1.5 to the ZH in your kestrel and will it automatically compute the drop you need? instead of doing the subtraction math yourself.?
Is there any interest on going into the more fieldcraft side of sniper stuff like camouflage, rural and urban hide selection and creation, stalking etc?
I’m always hesitant to teach those skills in case someone uses them for the wrong reason, with shooting at least I can tell myself it’s for hunting and competitive shooting
@kevinowens9636 I certainly understand the concern. But if we're being fair, a majority of the information in open source. Whether it's superseded or publicly distrubted field manuals, and let's not forget, a large amount of our understanding of stalking comes from hunters who used their skills as snipers example: Carlos Hathcock. Likewise, marksmanship in the absence of proper fieldcraft can be just as lethal in any setting due to the simple lack of situational awareness of the public.
Speed drop is a great concept, but I think its a little misleading to try and explain it without showing the math or how to find your speed drop without the use of a kestrel. Otherwise, great demo of the concept and its practical application
Your videos are so good, really appreciate you doing them.

We still but oil from Russia, but we're really putting the squeeze on them with the no-Strelok policy!😂🤡
@@tudyk21 Russian economy is definitely feeling it... now we can't purchase Strelok pro 🤣
