Easiest way to acquire Blue Lantern Ring:
1. meet a blue lantern
2. say to them: "give me a blue lantern ring, have hope in me that i'll make a great blue lantern"
3. If the blue lantern does not give you a ring, means they have no hope in you, so they lose their ring. So essentially you forced them into making/giving you a ring.
4. feel hopeful due to potential of new powers.
5. ???
6. Profit.

When I was a kid, I watched the Justice League DCAU cartoon, and Flash was my favourite. I also thought Green Lantern was pretty cool, and imagined how cool it would be if Flash had a Green Lantern ring. However, blue was my favourite colour, so I imagined the ring as blue instead of green, though otherwise functionally the same.
Imagine my surprise, when years later, I learn that there actually is a Blue Lantern Corps, and the Flash (Barry, not Wally, but still) was a member.

Lockjaw and you're unimaginative if you think that Darkseid wouldn't crush the ring because it technically wouldn't be his own power that brought the Universe(s) heroes to their knees. It would not stoke his ego and Darkseid is not a humble guy.

hibacilacle that's because Status Quo Is God, they weren't going to give Scarecrow a Yellow Power Ring power-up because it would make him too powerful to use him against Batman, they had to keep him down at Batman power levels since that's what he's meant for. They weren't going to let him grow beyond that.
I thought it was because even though he _could_ instil great fear, he himself wasn't worthy of being in _Sinestro's Corp_ by Sinestro's standards, so he took the ring and fucked off with it

They probably hated it at first, but then grew attached to him. Most Wally fans didn't grow up with Barry as their Flash. Dick Grayson doesn't want to be Batman. Diana is immortal. I don't know about Supergirl, though it sounds like a neat concept.

he didnt go to an alternate universe he went to an alternate timeline. the difference is that an alternate timeline changes the universe and an alternate universe is a different universe. and an alternate timeline would not have an alternate barry because barry is right there and things have changed for him.

basically Barry is Barry but because he time traveled he didnt instantly remember his line in the changed timeline but he did start to remember his life.

I frst got into these comic book channels cuz of Comicstorian but once I got wind of Comics Explained, I couldn't do any other. Fanboy-ish I know, but Rob does a great job in not only telling the story, but explaining the details you miss whether you've read it or not.

Gunmasterx7 Superman is by himself stronger than Batman or Green Lantern. So him with a blue ring, which would give him a shield, would be stronger. And when fighting GL Batman, the blue ring can do everything a GL ring can do, Batman got a power up, but also powers up Superman.
It would love to see that fight play out

Wrong. It wasn't exactly a retcon. In the Flash Rebirth, Eobard Thawne actually tells Barry that he (Barry) lived in a world with his parents growing old and that he (Eobard) changed that. As well as doing a bunch of other stuff to him over his life like pushing him down a flight of stairs when he was a kid (this was shown in the video, I just didn't see it yet). Barry didn't know because obviously Thawne was much faster than him back then.
So, Barry's mother dying isn't so much of a retcon as it is a timeline change. Eobard Thawne in that comic book is the version that fought the Barry Allen that had perfectly alive parents.
