Just to be clear, the reason why the vanity lights are not LED is because you don't put makeup on with LED lights. Girls use what is called natural lighting and that is why Ford made the vanity mirrors, vanity mirrors. :-)
SIXTY years ago, my dad brought home our first "new" car . . a '64 1/2 black Mustang coupe with red interior ( right off the truck, the day the cars were released to the public ) It had the small 260 engine with an automatic, and 13 inch wheels with spinner wheel covers. My sister and I both learned how to drive in that car. Back in September of '64 there were very few Mustangs on the road - everyone would point at it like it was so futuristic LOL I was 11 years-old at the time. It's amazing how much a Mustang has changed from almost sixty years ago.
@@703Speed I have a '68 Camaro Rally Sport now, that's the closest I've come to another "Pony Car" ( the '64 GTO and the '67 Corvette convertibles don't count LOL )
@@703Speed Have you ever done a "review" of IT ? . . that would be cool . . I was hoping one day to see you review a vintage car or truck - there aren't many people on TH-cam doing that.
I agree 100% with your assessment on the Active Exhaust. I can truly speak to the difference. I’ve had 3 S550’s including a 19’ GT Premum PP1 in Triple Black and it had Active Exhaust. I put 83k miles on that car. I liked it so much I bought a 21’ GT Premium PP1 in Ox White over Showstopper Red without AE. I purchased the 21’ sight unseen in the middle of the pandemic. Both were 401A cars so I assumed the 21’ had AE. Didn’t test drive or even verify. Brand new car. As I was driving home I realized it didn’t have AE and I knew I had made a $55k mistake. The AE does indeed control the decibel level you desire and that’s great. But the real difference is in the tone. The non AE car is much raspier. The AE car was much tighter sound. Sounds way more refined. So, AE IMO is the first option anyone should add who is buying the mustang in part because it’s such a sensational car. For me, that’s at least half the enjoyment. The AE provided a much more refined exhaust experience
Ford needs to upgrade the 6 speed manual transmission to a 7 speed manual, like the one that was used in the Corvette before it was eliminated. Maybe that would eliminate the gas guzzler tax.
Excellent video. Thank you for the extensive coverage of the dash screens. I ordered a Dark Horse back on 6 April. Now with the union strike I may not get the car for a few more months. Oh well no worries. I attended a seminar put on by the Ford Engineers, (by invitation only) and Ford improved over >113 areas on the new S650. So the negative people will complain about the changes but I have driven the new models and they are definitely better performing than the S550 in many areas!!! Thanks for the good video!!! 👍💪😎🇺🇸✝️
Thank you! I hope you get your dark horse faster than you expect. I’d love one, but they’re very hard to come by at msrp, and I’d be over extending myself a bit. Maybe one day soon I can get one! We’ll see 🙏🏼
Came across your channel just because the algorithm knows I just got a new mustang lol and I’ve seen plenty reviews and I still found yours informative and very intuitive. You went over things that other reviewers didn’t and you actually taught me something about my car that I didn’t even know after owning it for 2 weeks lol…. Keep up the good work my man and keep grinding your going places. I’m subbing up for sure 💪🏽
I would skip this package. This type of car should give You fun from driving, not distract you with unnecessary features. Great review as always. Greetings
I like your hustle young man and quite professional for a youngn’. I would like to share my opinion on two topics of note. I’ve had 5 Mustangs, including 3 S550’s. All 5 have been manual. All 5 have been GTs and all 3 S550s have been PP1’s including the Ox white over showstopper red 21’ I’m driving now. I am a seasoned gentleman and have had a DL for almost 3 decades now… YIKES! Every time I watch a Mustang review , everyone complains about the MT82 trans. I don’t drag race my car but I do go to the track and I drive it in a spirited fashion on public roads. I will say that the MT82 clunks when you put it in first gear, almost every time. As gentle as you may be, doesn’t matter. It clunks. However, besides that 1st gear clunk. I’ve never had any issues with the MT82 and that’s with more than 1/4 Million miles combined on 3 S550’s. Is the Tremec better? Yes. But the negative hype on the MT82 has got to stop. FORD knows what they’re doing. The Mustang has been the best selling sports car in the world many years over. Everyone needs to chill out on the MT82. Drive your car like an asshole, dump the clutch every red light and yeah, you’re prob gunna have trans issues. Drive a manual the right way and you will be just fine. I’ve watched all the TH-camrs that you have and I’ve heard them all complain too. Take it from me, I actually have the car. It’s just not as bad as the hype… I do agree with your Active Exhaust assessment. My 1st 2 S550’s had Actuve Exhaust. My 21’ I bought without even test driving it, brand new. The car has every single option so I assumed it had the active exhaust. As I’m driving it home I realized it didn’t and it was too late. Whoever specked this car checked every box save the most important one, Active Exhaust. It does make the car louder but that’s not even it. It’s the depth and richness of the tone. You can get aftermarket to make your exhaust Louder but there’s nothing on the market that can duplicate the tone. Take 2 GTs, one with AE and one without. Rev them back to back. The car with AE sounds different. Not just louder, but different AND better. If there was only one option I could pick on the entire car, it 100% would be the AE. Good call on that youngn’
Active exhaust is a must! I wouldn’t mind a base model as long as it had the active exhaust optioned. MT82 isn’t that bad, it just doesn’t have as good of a feel as the Tremecs. Still not bad though!
I previously owned a 2021 widebody scatpack challenger shaker six speed manual. I miss the hell out of that car. I sold it bc I barely drove it. I sold it last July. Was thinking of getting another one and hold onto next time around. But I don’t want to spend the money. I’d consider one of these Mustangs just for the V8/manual tranny combo. A base model is like $44k. A 4-5 grand discount on a new one. I’m all in…maybe in time…
Oh man! That shaker 6 speed is definitely a future classic. I feel like there were very few shakers mated to a 6 speed. Those Scatpacks are crazy expensive now. I remember in 2015 when the hellcat was released, they started at like $63k. Now scatpacks start at that. Crazy..
@@703Speedyeah man. Crazy expensive is an understatement…I had the black with red. Roof. SRT spoiler. And red brake calipers. I got $7950 off the sticker back in March of 2021. I ordered it March 5th. It came in mid May…I started looking at the wide bodies in late 2019 initially. I was seeing base models that were marked down to 37 grand…but I didn’t pull the trigger bc I saw that the shaker was coming for the widebody scats. So I waited. I got a killer deal as I mentioned. I absolutely regret selling it😢…they brought back the destroyer grey color in a widebody shaker for 2023. I’d love to get that color next. But I’m not paying high 60s to over 70 grand for a new one!!!….I’m seeing prices starting to come down on a few challengers right now…but I’d have to wait at least 18-24 months to see some lower prices on a 2023 destroyer Grey shaker used…I’m really not a Mustang guy. But I’d be willing to check one out and test drive it…I’d go for a base 300a car with a manual, the nite pony pack and the active exhaust. It’s like a $47500 car spec’d out that way…4-5 off and I’d get one if I liked how it drives(wish the GT had the Tremec though lol)..
USE CAUTION MODING the 2024 mustang, If you get a DTC it automatically reports back to ford and warranty is VOID, One other thing. The Carbon traps are an emissions item just like the cats. Illegal to remove.

I believe the line lock can only be used in track/drag strip mode where the traction control is completely turned off.

$48,610.00 for a car that doesn't have rear turn signal repeaters? This car does not look even close to a $50,000.00 vehicle.
