My suggestion is to build 3 or 4 feet off the ground. The snow is routinely chest deep here in Willow so you don't want snow laying against your walls all winter.
@@Krazyhunter The other benefit is you have storage under the cabin then. put down driveway fabric and then get some nice stone and put down before building the floor. You won't regret it
Honestly if you cant go deeper than 2' just build it on pads on the ground. Either way it will need some minor re-leveling in a few years. Big deal it's only 16x16. Build up concrete pads to around 18" or 2' and put some tripled up 2x8 as beams and build the frame out of 2x8 on top of that. You should only need 6 pads and 2 beams. That should get your entrance between 2.5 to 3' off the ground which would be nice up there! Set the beams about 6" inside the 16' distance and let 'er rip! Good luck! Way easier to square up this way too.
I can't help with the build, but I sure can watch! You will get it done. I have faith in you.
Sending Lucky Vibes....
Looks good Ron ❤
Sorry I can't help you but good luck. Love and hugs. Get them willow
Squaring up alone is hard.

If you want to square a layout that has to be exact, always use a metal tape measure. If not metal, the tape measure can stretch.
nice to know, will remember that. hopefully
