ah okay. Well that does make sense. I'm from a very humid climate so that's always something I try to stay away from. I usually stick with brasso, it does wonders. But hey Luke, thanks for answering my question. It's much appreciated and you got my respect.
Awesome score man! I love all the repair tips you show. I always seem to have a couple bad MVS boards lying around and your vids really help a lot when i troubleshoot them.
Nice pick up man! Love the 4 slot boards. Great job getting it all cleaned up and working well too. This one didn't seem to be in as bad of shape as some of the ones you've fixed over the years, so that's awesome that it was working fairly decently to begin with. I've just got the 4 slot going right now in the neo 29, but I'd love to get a 6 slot for it, I just always hear about how notorious they are for not working so well sadly. Merry Christmas Luke! =)
Good to see that the 4-slot mvs is working fine dude :) i love to see some metal slug 3 gameplay footage! greetings and happy holidays for you and everyone!
The local arcade repair shop that has my dads pinball machine had several back rooms filled with arcade cabinets, I dont know what kind of repairs they would need or if they were even for sale but I might ask about them next time I go back.
I thought so, even in the us most common now are 2 slot boards, see 4 slots occasionally. Sad thing is a local arcade has a 6 slot mvs cab with memory card port, but man the joysticks are busted and the speakers have rust on them. Wish they would put it up for sale so I could save it lol
Man Luke, pretty amazing how you get these working! The Neo Geo is the only console I am searching for, do you have any lying around for sale? Thanks brother, great videos as always! Merry Christmas!
Are you chewing gum during the first half of the video? At first I was thinking, "what is he snacking on?" Speaking of first half, is this the very first video edit from Lukemorse1?!
Hey question, Isn't steel wool bad for cleaning metal contacts? I read that it makes the metal oxidize faster than normal if they were exposed. I'm just curious.
Yeah I know I could tear one down but as far as diagnosing and fixing one i'd be kind of screwed, their is/was a like local amusement company that had a huge barn with arcades and stuff less than 3miles from my house, dont know if they had any 80s-90s arcades to get rid of. I might just stick with building some mini MAME cabinets or just doing some mini arcades using my consoles and like their arcade sticks and a vga box to use some 19" dell ultrasharp lcd's I can get for like $20
Luke im a great fan of yours, you my friend were the inspiration for me to continue to search for the neo geo mvs games that i always wanted even though i live in Bosnia where that task is really impossible, by a miracle i found 20 games for it, even got a 4 slot for myself and my friend. I really hope you could help with the problem here, my friends 4 slot just wont run the games, the board is great, no trace damage, leaky battery and he even cleaned it all around, and still the games wont run and it always stays on the cross hatch screen, he went througj the test screen and it turned out with no error, please help, he cant wait to play some neo madness XD all thr best from Bosnia !
awesome, that was a steal of a deal for 20 bucks O_O also now i have to check out my multicard for kof 97, didn´t know that it has such a cool intro :D normally i´m not huge into fighting games, or at least into all that kof and street fighter stuff, but i will give this one a try :D
20 dollars for that.... wow. Nice work with fixing that. Wow those traces were tiny, Do you just eye ball it or do you using a magnify glasses? On Camera the traces were so tinny its hard to even notice them, but then again you have a eye for those issues already.
This has to you're best score of the year! You must have been a good boy this year that Santa brought this nice present:) Merry Xmas Luke to you and you're family!

I heard that you can access the names/addresses of previous owners of an AES/MVS cartridge through the a special menu. True or false?
can you mod that pcb sandwich so theres more support in the middle the pcb flexing as you insert carts is going to cause problems sooner or later
I am curious how rare are 6 slot neo geo in japan?
Did you get your Neo Geo X yet man? I would like to know what you think, I think it's alright. defiantly not the best way to play neo games.
