I've currently got the Kline cat back on my Carrera T, am thinking about the Kline headers next but wondering if there will be much change to the tone of the exhaust system? The exhaust note in your videos seems raspier than mine currently which I like. Just wondering what your personal thoughts are, though it seems you did headers first before the catback!
Yes I did the headers before the full catless Kline exhaust. I also have a friend who has the same exhaust setup including headers but running the 200 cell sport cats. I have another friend running de-cat pipes on stock PSE with stock headers. I am sure of one thing, part of the rasp/raw exhaust note comes from the lack of cats. My friends full Kline system with the 200 cell cats is much more tame than mine. What the equal length headers do is create a different exhaust tone. They do increase volume slightly too. Pair that with the de-cat pipes and their muffler and you have a pretty unique sound on the 991.2. I would definitely do the headers.
You say the 200 cell cats are tamer than your de-catted system. But what about 100 cell? Would that be closer to your set-up or closer to the 200 in terms of sound?
Actually ordered the SS Kline headers first as the gains were the same. Ordered new. In that time period someone was selling the used Inconel system locally so I picked it up. The inconel exhaust muffler is for sale right now actually.
What tune are you running? APR or do you have a Protune via COBB? I have been trying to decide between M Engineering (COBB) and APR. I like that I can flash myself with the COBB and but I can’t find much data out there on the M Engineering maps. Also, I want to ensure that the PDK is happy with the added power. Any guidance? Thanks in advance!!
Running the M-Engineering tune with the Cobb. Very solid. Zero hiccups for track days. Lot soft power. You can remove it before bringing in for service although no dealership has mentioned anything and have had warranty work performed.
@@Caesarscars this info is gold..thank you. Does the tune kill the check engine light if I go with SOUL cat bypass pipes? What else do you recommend for mods if I’m trying to get the most out of stock turbos on 93 and also have a full E85 map? I’m trying to avoid buying unnecessary parts that only provide small power gains. Any other tips?
@@TLDCR531 Correct me if I am wrong but if you get a tune today through Cobb you can no longer "turn off" the readings for the post cat o2 sensor readings. However mine wasn't setup to do that. I am running the 90 degree mini cat o2 extenders I found on eBay for $50. My check engine light comes on about 1-2x a year only. Very random. I can still pass inspection (not visual of course) but my car is in a full readiness state. Headers, cat by pass, and tune is all you need to make plenty of power on these cars.
@@Caesarscars I heard the same about COBB so I appreciate the 90 degree mini cat info. That’s exactly what I’ll do. I’ll buy the mods you listed but do you think it makes sense to add the Tial inlets and upgrade diverter valves as well or does the stock setup work just fine? I’m in Michigan so no concern with inspections because they aren’t required here. Last question..do you find it difficult to put the power down being you are tuned and 2WD? This is my biggest concern.
@@TLDCR531 No issues putting power down. Great question on the other mods, I dont have anything else. If you want to go all out its a slippery slope. There are some threads on reenlist regarding plenum's and inlets. Im sure it all helps but to what extent? The best bang for the buck is the tune and full exhaust I think.
Not cheap. I pieced it together. Got the inconel exhaust used, and worked with a wholesaler on the headers. Check with Eric at Supreme Power, he can hook you up!
Have you tried pse with just the headers, if you did how did that sound?
Love it. Thanks for recording this! So Kline Equal Length headers + Iconel Exhaust that comes with decatted setup?
Correct! Thats the setup. The muffler is for sale now on Rennlist. rennlist.com/forums/market/1321471
Hello, car sounds Amazing, correct me if I am wrong, you have the Inconel Kline exhaust and stainless steel Kline headers ?
Correct.
hi @@Caesarscars would you happen to know anyone that is selling inconel kline muffer and and headers?
for a 991.2 @Ceasarscars

Great question. I havent heard the 100 cell in person but I bet its the sweet spot. 200 cell cats still tame the setup too much imho.
Hey, out of curiosity why did you go for stainless steel for the headers vs inconel?
