    I love that level 3 is controlling the entire deck. Has me thinking by level 7 he's going to be in my house showing me how to perform surgery with the cards. Amazing videos as always

    Just want to say that you inspired me about half a year ago to get into magic and I have been studiously practicing and honing my skills ever since. Despite this you still manage to baffle and impress me both with your tricks and your presentation. Thank you Daniel.

    For what it’s worth, I stumbled across that video by pure accident and thought “okay yeah that looks interesting enough.”
    Then I decided to try to learn some basic card handling and now I have a small bag of tricks to entertain my kids and my coworkers. All that to say, thank you for getting TH-cam algorithmed to me.

    I've watched your videos so many times, I should be a master by now. But, I'm still a sleight-of-hand chump. You're skills are so amazing, even when I know what you're doing (I think), I'm still amazed every time. So smooth - so perfect. Wow.

    What I love about your style is that you don't rush what you're doing and it flows so naturally. I see way too many sleight of hand artists blitz out their moves as fast as possible which just makes it hard to follow, especially for someone that doesn't know what's going on.

    People posting comments like it's fake. I think that's just because they don't understand that this is actually possible.
    I see and understand all of the "tricks" you do in this video. Which is not the point of the video, it's not about the magic part. It's about the sleight of hand part which you do clearly describe.
    What's amazing is how well executed this is, it looks so natural and with confidence. It's like seeing somebody really good with an instrumental. You understand what's happening. But most people would not be able to do it. I'll just sit back and appreciate the work. I appreciate you describing what you do as you do it. Center deals or second bottom deals would not be that impressive if we did not know you did it.
    I remember this video from 2 years ago, I thought in the start this is the same video, but the title don't match. it says way too new of a date and 2.0. It all become clear when you told it in the end :) !

    Great video as always Daniel. Glad your still pumping those sub numbers. Crazy your first version of this has 3.5m views. And your shorts are killing it. One with 10M and another with 7.3M.
    As I said previously (in my first comment on your channel I believe), you've got a great presence and handle yourself great in front of the camera. I believe that you're only getting better and better at it as well over the years. Always great to see new videos from you and I hope your live shows are a blast for you to perform, as I'm sure it is a completely different thrill from just making TH-cam videos.

    • @nez14526
      @nez14526 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Is there even any misdirection? The closest thing to it is the false dealing, but the rest (and even the false dealing) is just sheer control.

    • @XixyLeasor
      @XixyLeasor ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's no misdirection, it's purely skill. You clearly don't understand anything at all.

    • @lilyofluck371
      @lilyofluck371 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@XixyLeasor Misdirecting someone by gaze is misdirection. Even if it isn't purposeful, this comment proves there _is_ misdirection in this video.

    • @fartkerson
      @fartkerson ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@lilyofluck371 I think the point is that his control of the deck does not require misdirection. Misdirection is only relevant if the trick requires it, but he doesn't need to misdirect you because his control is flawless. It's not really a debate about misdirection but the validity of misdirection versus control.

    to fully assuage all those doubters talking about camera tricks, you could get a few continuously moving elements running in frame of your shot, like an analog clock face, lava lamp, or even a buncha hamsters in a glass tank. heck, get a disco ball and some moving coloured lights that hit all the other moving elements, generating unpredictable combinations, allowing some of the randomised backlight to illuminate your hands and even the cards too.
    level 11: subvert all these expectations and incorporate actual camera tricks into the sleight of hand while emphasising all of the anti-camera-trick implements.

    Well done 👍 You have absolutely no tells in your false deals. Perfect rhythm. But can you deal 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths? 🧐 I bet you can. IMO, fluidly going from a 5th, to a 4th, to a 3rd, to a 2nd deal (each # ending up in whatever hand we want) is harder than even a genuine center (which I still don’t do as fluidly as you…I just do pseudo centers and Greek or bottom deal them).

    • @DanielRoyMagic
      @DanielRoyMagic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great suggestion!

    • @KinnereyB
      @KinnereyB ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DanielRoyMagic It’s an awesome technique! Bc it allows for you to have a simple 4 of a kind stack on top, deal to however many players your spectator(s) name, then you can cleanly deal yourself the aces from the top of the deck!
      I’m still working on mastery (do we ever achieve TOTAL mastery?), but the tried and true” larger motion covering the smaller motion” applies here and is a huge asset with this technique!
      I just see your skills with a deck of cards and figured you would either know it and have put the work in, or with your 2nd deal as good as it is, it won’t be too hard for you to get to 5ths, 4ths, 3rds, and 2nds fluidly! Have fun and keep up the great work! It’s nice to see a REAL lover of card magic perform 💯
