If I could recommend - taking out either of the godzillas and replacing them with a copy or two of Terror of Mount Velus? Though it's not a hasty threat, the fact that it's a flier and that you can reanimate it off a hit with Velomachus to give your Velomachus double strike as a strong finisher outta nowhere and gives the deck an extra oomph that's both fun and satisfying.
Agree agree agree, idk what he was thinking you’d only want one vs a low to the ground mono black deck. I think that decision cost him that game, shuffler wasn’t kind that game either however.

I built this deck and have been having some good games so far! I only had two copies of Velomachus so here's what I swapped the other slots for and why: Dream Trawler - This being able to give itself hexproof is great, if you cheat it out you can instantly protect from removal. Also all the loot / draw spells will pump this up super quickly Burning Rune Demon - if you can get this out, you can choose Unbreakable Bond and Return Upon the Tide as the two options. Plus, a 6/6 flyer is pretty decent.
I have a very similar deck I have been working a lot on for the past 2 weeks. It uses green instead of blue and relies upon Predation and Duress against Counter Spells. I use almost the full set of these 2 Godzillas as I find the built in cycling very useful and I get to play with a copy of Haunting Voyage which have been devastating the times I have cast it, getting multiple Godzillas on the field. And the 4th time Red Godzilla get cycled u get one for free, circumventing Counter Spells.
I don't normally remember to leave a 'like' but I enjoyed watching you suffer. It's hard out here for a brewer so mad respect from one to another. Your brews are always fascinating.
So what is hilarious is that I just built a five color reanimator at my LGS less than two hours before CGB released this. I play tested it with some friends and It is a blast to play
I swapped a couple Eliminates for Baleful Masteries in my sultai ultimatum deck because what I kept getting killed by were fatties that my deck had almost no way to deal with because it was so skewed towards punishing aggro. Dragons be they Lorholds, Goldspan, or even the odd Immurstum Predator got to just clown on me with my Eliminates, Shadows' Verdicts, and Elsbeth's Nightmares. Felt like I just left myself naked too often, the Heartless Acts didn't work on the the Predator (which inexplicably came up a lot for a few days but I haven't seen it much since) and I felt like I never drew Binding of the Old Gods even though I of course have four in the deck. Mastery is often overkill but it covers some of the things the deck struggles with.

I feel very similar to you in my Arena experience. No matter what I play, I have at least 2 bad matchup concessions almost everytime. Then , the shuffler mulligans on almost every game . I do not go first, ever. I played 8 matches today, trying to play a home brew. I was 1 and 8. I went first on one game and that was the only victory. Why do I play this game? I don't know. I cringe watching you play Arena everyday and you are by far my favorite player next to PVDDR. I dont know how you keep your sanity with the stupid Arena shenanigans everyday. Thanks for your efforts.
i know, off topic, but i had a strange case last match, i played sultai ultimatum and the enemy had a Reidane in play. Emergent Ultimatum says "without paying their mana costs", but the Redaine forced me to pay 2 mana per spell or decline to cast any, i mean, i can understand it somehow cause of the passive of Redaine, but is it legit? Or is it an Arena thing!? I'd expect that i dont have to pay their mana cost no matter if they are more expensive or not. Am I right or wrong? would be nice to get some oppionions on that. @CGB what do you think, how would you handle it in Paper?
Love the deck. It has very great animation to get to the cards you want quickly. Necromentia is a great card. It would get rid of that blue card that kept making you have to use so many shadows verdict to get rid of. Then it would be exiled and they may never get it back. Then extinction event the biggest threat.
Looks fun, you know, when it does the thing. I rarely have good luck with drawing these decks. Glad to see positive wins though! Keep up the great work! CKC
You should try the new dragon combo in historic. Throw emergent ultimatum and the blue sphinx that plays spells from the graveyard in the bin via Thrilling Discovery and Looting. Use Mizzix's Mastery or Unburial Rites on the sphinx to cast Emergent Ultimatum. Pick Dragonstorm, Terror of the Peaks and the Black/Red Legendary that fetches a dragon from the bin. Continually fetch a second Black/Red legendary until opponent loses all life. I've seen it about 20 times in the last week in Historic. Made me put 4 Hushbringers and 4 Honor Guards from Ixalan that prevent effects from creatures entering the battlefield or dying. Hilarious to see people scoop the moment they read the 2 mana creature card.
Important question for CGB- if I stay til the very end of video, does it support you more than not staying to the very end would?? Just curious cause I want to support as much as possible without donating cause unfortunately I don’t have the spare cash. 😢😢

I've been playing Mardu reanimator since I saw your video the other day with that guy playing reanimator. It's pretty janky but it's super fun when you turn 4 dragon into Koma
CGB, I'm sure you know many of your viewers run straight to Arena and construct the deck du jour and that's not terrible, but I'm compelled to remind you that with any amount of power, comes an equal or greater responsibility. Arena is full of players of varying degrees of skill, using your decks. It's like you've given an army of monkeys machine guns and turned them loose on the public.
but instead of shadows verdict he played 4 copies of the dragon removal board wipe (where you can selectively exile everything) Similar to shadows verdict maybe shadows verdict is a tad better. I'd argue it is. But yeah two removal spells regardless. :P !
I would suggest adding in some Waker of Waves. Big beefy whale boi, gives opponents creatures -1 power so it frustrates aggro, and it has a pseudo cycle effect that lets you look at the top two cards in your deck and put one in your hand and put the other in the graveyard.
I've been polymorphing uh transmogrifying I mean into velomachus myself lately. Reanimator did worse for me. Unbreakable bond is super good on velomachus though.

Deck seems decently solid for a standard reanimator deck. I'd probably stick at least one burning rune demon in and cut the 11/11 Godzilla and swap one of two of the verdicts for either storms wrath or extinction event. I'm a fan of the toolbox approach it adds.
the power of the lorehold dragon and [[Shadow's Verdict]] combined is insane ..... very crazy control if you are lucky and you have an early token, turn 2 foretell [[Return Upon the Tide]] and the turn three [[Prismari Command]] to either crate token, kill enemy artifact or creature and to discard the dragon, you can have [[Velomachus Lorehold]] in turn 4 wow, crazy, then from turn 5 onwards you can just nuke opponent with [[Shadow's Verdict]] every single damn turn and they will have no idea what you are doing, and you can even have the [[Mystical Dispute]] to protect any of these spell from turn one if you are lucky, the only issue is with mill deck

Burning rune demon is a good target too. You can grab 2 reanimation spells or 2 reanimation targets.

I run this deck with 2x Moraug, Fury of Akoum, 2x Koma, 2x Burning Rune Demon -> Especially Moraug can tilt games so hard in your favour
