Hi CGB! I'm the one playing with monoblack in the video. You're right, my meta is only creatures deck (Rogues, Monored and Winota) and that´s why I'm playing this. I added 3 instants removal because Rogues usually play their creatures at the end of my turn and that's a free attack for them at least for 1 turn. Against Yotion the deck is reeealy bad! Oh, and I sent the Chandra emote because I don't have the heart. I really like your content and I'm happy that I could play against you. PS: sorry for my English. I'm nipo-brazilian and learning!
It would look quite a bit different without the adventure creatures. But a more control version with a suite of opus and draconic intervention instead is likely. I actually run this version already in bo1 and run ~68-70% win rate with it.
@@ericstatlander3605 I like this comment. There are always some major cards, usually some rares and a few more mythics that are a pain to collect, and as a mainly f2p player since '18, I've learned to craft early on. Mostly because they are versatile and can fit in a few decks.

Got back into magic just recently. Learning the meta from just your videos and I’m almost diamond on arena which I started this week. You’re videos are absolutely amazing and I love your explanations they teach me so much. Thank you so much for being you!
I’m not sure if you’ll even read this or if you’ve done it before. But I’ve been running a kind of meme azorius tempo deck that has worked out pretty well for me. Survive the early game with unsummons, into the roil, brazen borrowers and board wipes. The goal is to live till at least 9 mana where you can play cyclone Giant to return all non-Giant permanents and return the Giant back to your hand with Niambi when it gets targeted. I also run about 6 counter spells and 2 copies of niko. It does surprisingly well against Aggro and sultai ultimatum, it does struggle a bit against mill rogues admittedly.
I did enjoy that Prismari Big Spells deck youplayed early in the season. It seemed fun and had a an at least ok win rate.(Though it was a little draw dependent)
I may be too late to the party, but here goes. I'm a returning player and have been enjoying slowly building up this deck, but I've come to the point where all I have left are the Borrowers and the Giants. My question is, with rotation "around the corner", what should I be getting in those slots?
i like this deck but i always use 4 alrund and i added 2 crackle with power for this: attack with dragon if dragon survive and you have in hand alrund + crackle with power it's gg even if they have 20 hp
What is up with the Expressive Iteration counter on the left side of the screen? Not seeing anything on the card that tracks how many times you've cast it in a game...

What do you think about a version sans adventure creatures running a combo of opus and draconic intervention for bo1? I've been running it for awhile and have 115 or so games with it. At a 68%ish win rate, and most important, 15-4 vs mono red.

I mean if you haven't crafted Giant and Borrower by now, then I guess there isn't much point, but I can't imagine any of the other cards wouldn't be safe crafts for any future meta.

Not only the problem is that standard is boring but also historic where if you don't play blue and red and you play second you there's little to no point in playing the match. Thank God for limited 🙏

So I can I just say idk how on GOD’s GREEN EARTH you do it... I build MANY of the same decks you use... this being one, and I can’t win to save my life... Most games I flood out and don’t find answers. It’s pretty annoying. And yes standard is not enjoyable to say the least... I’ve been stuck in platinum since I rotated out of mythic last season... 😓😓

Frorstboil isn't a snow land. I think people run Fjord because it is snow which give frost bite the "umph" it needs.

It's to say how many cards you can cast from exile (because one of the modes is exile a card, you may cast that card from exile this turn, that's all)

Why don't you use the borrower to return your goldspan to your hand when they try to kill it?
Borrower only returns no land permanent opponent controls
You can only return your opponents permanents with the borrower
