To all the people complaining this solution takes away freedoms, I can tell you, when parents do not have to be on stand by all day to bring the kids to the places they need to be, cause they just go on their (electric) bikes, that’s freedom for both the kids and parents😂

Salty Americans that cry about a country not prioritising car culture and not building highways straight through a city center. I think these commenters tend to forget the Netherlands has one of the best road networks for cars as well. (ranking well above the US)

Every spot is numbered and so is every row. I normally always take a picture of my number right before I leave! Also when you use your bike as much as a duchie does, it becomes like a baby and you will recognise it from the millions. Hope this helps!

I would not park my bike here since why would I? The only time I ever arrived to Amsterdam centraal by bike, I took the bike with me on the train because I needed it to bike from Maastricht to home

There are several security guards. you have to check in and out with a card. So if you leave without having checked in its suspicous to the guy who is the security guard.

The one we have in Utrecht is bigger and you bike in from 2 sides
Utrecht has a capacity of 12K bikes, the three in Amsterdam will have a capacity of 15K total.

At around 8 months old you start to learn object permanence. With a bit of training you become quite good at it
