    I draw erotica, one of my favorite things in the last few years has been drawing and exploring people’s kinks and sexuality with them- and HOO BOY it was laughably startling to hear Kirk say “vore”. I’m very familiar with the world of drawn kink/fetish and I gotta say… Humberto absolutely did his research! Which I hope doesn’t sound condescending to say (“wow he actually did the thing he planned to do?”). I just mean he really covered the bases and went for it in a way I’m not used to seeing people do. I love watching y’all, I respect you both so much. 😊

    I didn’t know that Berto was so good at research! He seems to usually play the role of us-the listener, who are laymen. So it’s fun to see the tables turned. Love Berto!!

    As always I appreciate Berto's honesty and insight; this "male way" was what my male friends were like too, so it's very familiar. It's healing to hear you discuss it with Dr. Honda with kindness and interest.

    Berto the EXACT same thing happened with me and horror movies.
    When I was younger it felt like they didn't phase me at all and i would consume horror movies constantly. Now that I'm an adult I really feel it differently, like I get scared when I watch that stuff in a way I never did. I honestly think it made me more fearful and anxious overall. It never changed me in the way that I got any sort of urge to hurt anyone or anything like that because I have way too much empathy for that, but I think it did change me in the way that when I watch stuff I have a lot more intrusive thoughts about scary or gruesome things happening to me (example. Someone breaking into my house and vivid imagery about what scary things might happen) which I dont think about if I dont watch them.

    It's interesting that in the first German survey, aggressive fantasies were considered more likely to lead to criminal behaviours than violent adult videos consumption. And is it possible that such videos are actually likely to decrease the probability of sexual criminal behaviours? For example, there are studies showing the decreasing interest in real life sex because of the pornography.

    Love this new format! I was caught off guard when I looked at the screen and saw Humberto 😅

    Humberto's story about pointing out attractive women when he was with his wife so that she could share in the obsession, kinda made me think of Bartise from Love is Blind, and maybe he experiences something similar.

    Super interesting, thank you for this video. These ideas come up over and over in my writing community. Ideas of, why do we allow some subjects to be written about and not others? Is it because we expect writing about some subjects to promote eventual harmful behaviour in real life? If so, why these subjects and not others? Very very broadly speaking, it's that sense of murder not being given the same weight as certain forms of sexual violence in a fictional context.
    There's a further discussion you both touched on as well. It's along the lines of well...okay, fantasies may "just" be fantasies but is it okay for internet strangers to write about real life people they know personally (e.g. acquaintances, co-workers) in NSFW works - without their consent - assuming it's all anonymised? Factor in that this writing could go on for a LONG time; months, years. Does that make a difference? How much? The community sentiment seems to be "any writing like that is kind of creepy, obsessive and maybe dangerous, and we don't permit it" which is one I personally agree with, yet it's still an interesting supposition about the way things work. Other people have other ideas such as, "well, regardless of what you write about, it could be a safety valve for some people and prevent harm" or indeed, "it's all fiction/fantasy and this is a free country, no (immediate?) harm is being done" and similar thoughts.
    All in all, content moderation for the community gets tricky when there's no idea of how impactful these fantasies are, yet we still want to be as inclusive as possible. The hobby is wonderful for safe exploration of most NSFW fantasies if someone wants to go down that route, but we kind of *have* to draw the line where prose starts to resemble a plan.
    Anyways, very glad to see more about this topic, it's not exactly popular. It's a shame that it's SO difficult to research anything adjacent without massive assumptions being made about anyone involved.

    I know very little about vore since it’s not my thing (no judgement though) but it seems like it’s always the person fantasizing who gets swallowed and that they’re never really broken or injured so much as like impossibly inside? I kind of doubt that there’s a strong connection between that and a desire for real world cannibalism the same way I doubt people who enjoy Tom and Jerry like animal abuse.

    • @rosethot4194
      @rosethot4194 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your first sentence should of ended there. Vore is a huge fetish and you’ve obviously not looked into it because they definitely play into the idea of prey and predator and one being eaten and crushed it’s what turns them on.

  • @Opety_dope
    @Opety_dope ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don’t have a particular interest in vore but so many kinks have similar roots as things vanilla individuals do without blinking an eye, kink people just take it further. People play gobble up children or pets (not to brink children or animals into this, but a fair portion of kink is consenting adults participating in a play scenario together)
    My partner and I (in our 30’s) will play gobble each other to show affection/flirt/be cheeky. I never considered that vore, but maybe it is a bit. in 2000’s nerd and alt communities we would call it “Nomming” as in om-nom-nom. Just because we are adults doesn’t mean we should stop playing games , that’s part of human bonding.
    In the past when topics like cnc (consensual non consent) or other kink activities had come up on the pod i would feel a bit alienated. One of the things people in the community like to say is “don’t yuck someone’s yum” I’m really glad you guys approached this topic from a the stance of attempting to understand. What people on the outside of kink communities see in media/looking in is often the most extreme examples or taken out of context. Thank you for the work you put in to give a levelheaded explanation.

    I hope you guys are aware that Germany seems to have a lot of research on these topics because they seemed to have quite a few crimes/cases relating to these fetishes. For example armin meiwes, Karl denke, fritz haarmann, etc.

    I would be interested in hearing about Bertos religious affiliation and experience that affected him so greatly. I too lost my faith a few years ago after being in a very right-wing conservative religious group. Anybody have information on that?

    Humberto Humberto is very articulate and bright, of course, but seriously - who in her right mind puts up with a guy who's constantly saying, "Look at that girl! Isn't she cute?! Isn't she hot?!"
    I wouldn't date that guy twice, never mind actually marrying him.

    • @phonuz
      @phonuz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, I wouldn't either. but sometimes people stick together through painfully awkward growth periods, and come out on the other side more mutually balanced.

      @profe3330 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phonuz Well, that's a generous way to look it. 🙂 I myself see behavior like that as aggressive rather than awkward, so . . . no. I'd rather go out with one of those soft-core cannibals.

      I hear ya, but idk… my partner and I can notice an attractive person and be like, “bro.. look at her baDONK.” and neither of us are made to feel insecure or nervous by it. It’s about how comfortable your partner is and the tone and nature of how you comment, I imagine.

    • @virtue_signal_
      @virtue_signal_ ปีที่แล้ว

      I do that all the time and my partner is okay with it she does that also. We consider it hot and not degrading or a. Problem.
