Batman & Robin - Freeze and Ivy aren't good at this

- Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy should be an impressive villainous combination.
However, as with everything else, "Batman & Robin" makes sure to portray them in a way that makes them look goofy and non-threatening.
Also, behold: More goofy Mr. Freeze puns.

"Adam and Evil." As soon as I heard that line, I had to remind myself that someone got PAID to write this.
Then he won an Oscar...then wrote Transformers 5.
My eyes rolled so much when I heard that, amazed I hadn't shut them by that point.
Joel Schumacher is overrated crap
Adam and Evil was a good line.
Still better than advocating for socialism in Ant-Man 3.

I don’t think they actually wanted Humanity dead and I don’t think this Bane wanted Ivy so much.
There just seems to be a few implied things here people are missing.

Damn. Arnold was pretty good in this movie. Maybe the best thing in this movie.

1:23 - 1:32 This is probably the only part where I thought Arnold made a half decent Mr Freeze. Patrick Stewart would have been perfect, but not in a Joel Schumacher film.
Joel Schumacher said that he wanted Freeze to be “big and strong like he was chiseled out of a glacier”.
If Burton stayed on to direct *Batman Forever* and *Batman & Robin* , Sir Patrick Stewart would be perfect.
If Burton stayed with the Batman series, I think Ralph Fiennes would’ve been a perfect Mr. Freeze.
Half the reason why Arnold is playing the character, it's because he's the only one who could physically handle that heavy suit.

After just learning about his wife death... and he even has time for puns -_- Wasn't he a scientist? shouldn't he be smarter than that and see how she only uses him?
I agree that Ivy’s pheromones may be influencing Mr. Freeze. However, just because he’s a scientist, doesn’t mean he can’t get tricked or deceived. I’m a scientist by trade, and I know I sometimes get deceived. On a broader level, it’s really hilarious for me to observe modern society’s exaltation of scientists/doctors as the wizards/prophets of its time.

Why do people hate this movie? I actually found it enjoyable, and If they did a fifth Joel Schumacher Batman movie, they could've gotten Robert Englund to play as Scarecrow
It's great when you're a kid, and then you grow up and realise how bad it actually is. Doesn't mean I don't like though.

There are only 2 Schumacher Batman movies. The first movie Batman and its sequel Batman Returns was Tim Burton.

Me, too. He cares so much for his wife he'd do anything to cure her terminal illness. For Poison Ivy to pull the plug, and tell the phony story that Batman deactivated her and that she was dead and give false prove with the snowflake necklace he gave Nora and make it seem true, thus deceiving him and driving him on hell-bent revenge over nothing. Fortunately for him, and unfortunately for Ivy, Batman, Robin, and Batgirl restored Nora in her cryogenic frozen stage until a cure for her an be found. To apologize to Batman for believing he did it and to show his appreciation, he give him the sample of the cure for the first stage of the disease Alfred has, and Batman gives him his end of the deal: that Nora would be moved into the lab at Arkham Asylum, where Freeze would be able to continue his research.
I'll tell you one thing though: if my wife had a terminal illness, I'd do anything to find a cure for her illness. I mean, who wouldn't? Right?

I feel bad for Freeze. He's actually a good guy he just wants to do anything he can for his wife so sad she died. Poison Ivy is so mean I'm glad she got what she deserved in the end by Mr Freeze. Even though Posion Ivy is seriously HOT AS HELL. :)

The villains in this are simply not compatible in the slightest. Another reason why this movie failed big time.
Uma Thurman and George Clooney are impressive actors on their own, but somehow they effed up pretty hard this movie. Also, even Arnold Schwarzenegger is better usually.

God, I know it was bad, but I'd forgotten just how bad.
On paper Uma Thurman seems like great casting for Poison Ivy (unlike Arnold for Freeze); she's certainly capable of much better acting than this. But she couldn't overcome a bad script, bad direction, and whatever insanity that is with her hair.

I wish they would start re- runs of the Batman series. There were so many good actors protraing him. Miss Thruman I think, Ulma she was great as Poison Ivy. My grandson would love watching them. I have purchased batman toys for his 4th birthday this year.

You've not seen many of his other movies have you? His acting range is pretty much the same in all of them.
That being said, Mr. Freeze is his best and most iconic film role of all time (suck it, Terminator!)
