That’s a practical brother-in-law. Sheesh with the way inflation is going pretty soon it’s gonna be a very rich man who can afford T-shirts and beer. I’m glad I got in early and ordered my shirt when it was reasonable. Looks like you did a fine welding job there Bill, I learned to weld with ox acetylene and stick and I find mig to be more hectic, but it does get the job done. I still like to play with puddles 😅.
Good looking weld Bill. The way you explain the work is great. My Dad was a car mechanic and had all the oxy gear in his garage. I should have paid more attention then 🥴
Footpegs breaking was pretty common on Triumph sleds. I'm building up a bike very similiar to yours, a '59 TR6 sled straight outta the day that was sitting under a tarp for 50 years somewhere in S. CA. The bike has had several mods and cool rare parts. The footpegs have homemade bracing, on the primary side they welded a rounded plate with a rubber pad that sits against the case. Enjoy your vids!
A testament to welding skill I once let my brother repair a spot on my 73 Triumph Tiger. British steel I warned him. Perfect job with dads Lincoln arc welder!
A good modification there Bill. Those original folding foot pegs are like Rocking Horse poop in the UK I think they were nearly all sent for export. Did you have a spacer (57-0087) in the primary? and did it stay there, when you pulled the foot peg mounting stud through? Enjoy your weekend, and cheers.
The problem with folding footrests on these old bikes is you now have nothing to stop the gear and brake from bending or snapping off when you drop the bike.
I show off that beer opening technique. All the time. Thanks for the schooling how to do that! 😊
LOL the only reason to get married is to open up a beer with your wedding ring, too funny😂
Haha!
To live a happy life w/ your wife! Change that to "Another benefit of getting married" . . .
I always look forward to Saturday mornings and your videos!
Really appreciate you saying that!
I used to have a welding bench just like that! I'm glad to see you used a plug weld as well, that was a smart call. Good Job! God Bless! 👌
Haha! Still haven’t ran an extension cord over to the proper welding bench. But I’m so used to welding on the floor now that I kind of like it 😆

Another great job done, looks good, already to go, Bill did you get my link regarding ,your BSA air filter ? KIWI
Cool just saw your message . 👍
I did! Sorry for the dealayed response! Thank you so much for your help!
for some reason the sound only comes from one speaker on your videos
It has to do with the mic I’m afraid and seems to only be an issue with headphone listeners. Are you listening via headphones? Apologies.
Ah ok that’s not a problem I will watch without using headphones In the future then.
