I've owned my AP1 for almost 7 years. I can see your car needs top straps - your top does not retract all the way down. Check the straps and get new ones from Modifry. In fact, while you're at Modifry, get a console organizer and a passenger cupholder for your lady friend. You'll thank me later! As for the rattles, it looks like your rollover hoop trim has been separated at some point - a no-no on these cars as they never go back on correctly (as you know). You can get a replacement unit from a breaking yard that sells parts. As for the rattles, believe it or not, my 21 year old car is quite rattle free. Get some felt tape and silence the top latches and everything else making noise. For the blind spots, get a convex mirror for the drivers side (passenger has one OEM, but they make aftermarket sets that match). I don't understand why anyone would change anything about the shifter. The Honda shifter is the best ever released. I have experienced the 2nd gear grind and I believe that can be fixed by "driver improvement". My experience is that slower is faster (and better). If you rush the shift and the clutch out, you will grind it every time. Finally, these cars benefit greatly from regular fluid changes. Change the oil every 3K miles, use the correct Honda oil filter (they are special and specific to the S2000. Don't let any parts guy tell you otherwise), change the transmission and differential fluids regularly, too. Don't forget brake and clutch fluid.
Not really cons. I had a 2004 and no rattles. Never had the AP1. The AP2 gearbox was perfect. Widely know by experts as one of the best engines/ transmissions ever built.
Try changing the transmission oil to royal purple syncromax feel the difference second gear won't grind or it will grind less over time when the oil mix a few times
I just sold a rear taillight with that white side markers on eBay, did you buy it from me? Lol I been thinking about doing a pro vs cons on my ap1, cool that people are there to support you on the filming of this.. good job man, liked and subbed

Gotta love the s2k
Pros. Usually sexiest car around.
Love these cars ! Too hard to come up with any real cons
The price is a real concern
The cup holder placement is useless on this cars..
I have an Ap1. I do not have or agree with the cons. But we are all entitled to have preferences.

glad to see you back 💯🔥
My dream car honestly …. The honda s2000 has aged like fine wine
Same!
Transmission on ap1 is fine if you put the correct fluid in the transmission. Purple something.
Pros:s2000
Cons:can’t stay in it and drive it all the time
I wanna learn how to drive a manual just for one of these
I see s2000 a lot in New Jersey they are lit
Been waiting on this one 🔥🔥
Cons are the brakes… could’ve collabo with Brembo. Or a stage 1 spoon Caliper.
Everything was accurate about this, great vid!

Appreciate the support homie ! And nah I bought this car a little over a year ago and it was already like that
Nice Berlina Black S2 man. What's the wheel spec? I've been thinking of getting some NT03 too.
Getting one next month !🥰
Mine only has 70k miles and ap1 typically burn a lot of oil. I see that as the worst con
I prefer the Ap1 over the ap2 because the higher redline
Sweet caaaaaawwwww dude
The only big down its that theres no bbks that retain parking brake. Rear discs are very weak
Why not go hydronic handbrake
15k? Especially a AP1 in Cali is impossible. More like 20-25k.
Very nice car brooo!!!!! 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Rlly thinking abt trading my manual is300 for one idk mannn
I would do it !
I got mine for 40k😐💔
Mine doesn't rattle
rim make and model?
