Finally! This is the first time I have heard her talk about going from a temp Visa to a permanent Visa, which is what I will be doing in the spring, and that it is based on the laws in place when you recieved your original temp Visa.... Phew! VERY important for me! Also great information about not having to go to any of the big cities! Great video, thank you!
I'm working with Estefania at Gringo Visas RIGHT NOW !! After years of watching TH-cam . I'm 1 to a few weeks from stepping on to the plane. 62 from the midwest . Been in contact many times with Eestefania and Miate . Along with Javier ( JEP Manta ) Carlos ( Blue Box insurance ) Xavier's son Amaru (Hotel Otorongo) I know They're professionals with their own agendas . But I can tell crap from sincerity ! and fill confident I have a strong base to get started with. Gracias Living Loving Abroad !
So please verify that I understand correctly and that the information is correct. I have heard multiple different people say that with the investment visa that you still need to show income.. I would like to do the investment visa and invest actually more than 47,500 in CD. I have three dependents. I don’t care if I need to put 47,500 per dependent even but I need to truly know what the actual requirements are because I have plenty of cash, but no income, and I am too young for Social Security. This is very important to me because I truly see Ecuador as mine and my children’s future.
Great video! Great info! Great help available on the ground! All in one. One thing I miss, what are the fees for those services offered by Maite Duran. The rules apply only to North Americans, or are they for other continents as well?
The rules for the US and Canada are generally the same, but I'm not sure about other countries. The fee is around $1500. Feel free to contact Maite at her number in the description using Whatsapp, thanks ☺️
As far as we know, everything besides the monetary changes will remain the same, that is unless of course the new administration decides to change it later
Nope there's no requirements for a bank account, however it is MASSIVELY helpful to have at least one. It makes paying for things online so much easier. For instance, I was not able to pay for my phone service online and had to do it in person if I tried to use a US account, but the EC account worked every time, as well have having the option built-in to pay utilities, taxes and so on in the banks website/app.
Yes sir. I have a question. I am an ex military veteran, but I am not a retired veteran, but I get a monthly disability income of 1,700 dollars a month. I am not of retirement age, but I get this money every month. I have heard that you need a letter saying you will get this money for life. It doesn't say I will get it for life. Would I qualify for the Pensionado visa sir?
Hola, thanks for the question. Yes you would qualify, I'm in a similar situation and I used the pension visa for our 1st visa application. Our current visa is professional which is also easy to obtain if you or a spouse has a degree, and the monetary requirement is even lower. You can access your VA award letter on VA.gov, it's actually pretty easy, just make sure that if you print the letter it may be 2 pages and the 2nd page may have an official VA signature, so you'll need to print and submit that page as well. Depending on your lifestyle 1700 will be enough if it's just you and a partner. We make it just fine for under $1500/mo. We also take advantage of the high CD return rates in the country.
Hello , I have a question , if you guys make another video and have Maite in your podcast .. what is the requirements for couple of Ecuadorian citizen and American citizen already married in USA for 7 years and wants to married in Ecuador to be able to achieve dual citizenship and retired in Ecuador ?? What will be the steps , i notice is not information out there for this case type. Thank you.
It may be a while before we have a chance to interview her again and that’s a fantastic question. I would suggest contacting her directly via WhatsApp at the number in the video description
I will be using Gringo Visas for my residency. The 2024 minimum wage in Ecuador is only $460. $460*3= $1380.00. Maybe she should check the facts she wants to discuss.
@@LivingLovingAbroad only an associate degree. thanks if i make money from a side hustle can that put me over the top or does it have to be a pension? I have a va pension as a disabled vet.
I don't think so. The reason being is that when you apply for the retirement visa you have to have proof of your qualifying retirement income (Social Security, VA Disability letter, Pension Letter). Give Maite a call, she might be able to give you the best option if available. @@ScottDieken

One question about professional visa, will the time in Ecuador change in 2024 (2 years)?
As far as we know, everything besides the monetary changes will remain the same, that is unless of course the new administration decides to change it later
I always hear half the requirements, however are you required to open a bank account there?

Yes, just give Maite a call, her number is in the description if you’d like to use her service

Yes at the time we recorded the interview the government hadn't solidified the amount just yet.
So if you only have 1379 a month income what can you do
If you happen to have a degree go for the Professional Visa, the monetary requirement is much lower.
