- This is a short presentation of the Batavus Starflite 25 moped, an interesting small moped from the 1970's. The "25" is the smallest moped from the European Batavus Starflite series and is technically, just a motorized bicycle with a max. speed of 24 km/h. Thus, in may European countries this vehicle is not subject to registration and the operator does not need to have a license. In the USA, the "equivalent" of this moped would be the Batavus Starflite 20, as the number designates the max. speed in either km/h or mph. In any case, this old oddity is a very fun ride and has proven itself to be a very reliable vehicle.

Thanks very much, I'm 43 years old just reminded me, my father has that Batavus motorcycle ( moped) and still in the garage, it is older than me, although my father is not with us in this World of eating and breathing, RIP Dady!!!. But i really want to use it and i wish to go home and do the major service on that Batavus. Thanks
Hello, thanks for sharing this. My thoughts go to your father. As for for his Batavus it would be worth fixing and riding it. I bet your father would have liked that. Best wishes!
I got one of these in a trade a few years back for a few weekends of yard work. It’s great for just messing around in the neighborhood or on the farm
Yep, it's a great little moped. Sometimes less is more, and in the case of this Batavus this saying is certainly true.
