we have found that it doesn't need the spring from the OEM rear sets and I've never had a drooping rear brake lever from that on the bikes that I have worked on. Doesn't mean it won't happen and putting the spring on (if the after market rear set facilitates that) is always a good idea. Dave Moss Host
@ZacGot1 for the track/racing, we reverse the shift pattern, so 1 up, 5 down. If you think about shifting using street shift, your foot is under the lever so you could grind your boot or worse, break your foot. Pressing down to go up a gear is much safer and makes a lot more sense! Dave Moss Host
@mrodmelvin11 not sure I can 'see' what you are explaining. The bolts should come out of the rear set to release the master cylinder. Then you remove the split pin and washer keeping the clevis in place and remove the spacer to free the clevis. The split pin can be a pain to remove! Dave Moss Host
@mrodmelvin11 it says in their PDF to replace original master cylinder clevis with new one and mount master cylinder to master cylinder bracket. Then adjust clevis to attain desired brake pedal height, tighten clevis jam nut, and install clevis pin/spacer/washer/cotter pin. You cannot use the OEM clevis as it will not separate itself. great rear sets...i been looking at set of attack rear sets for a while...and i love how u happen to be working ont he same exact bike i have ..... GREAT VIDEO...please keep making more.
On the right hand side it doesn't look like you are re-using the brake lever spring that restricts the brake lever range of motion. Wont the brake lever be sloppy without this spring? Great vid as always.

We used the 6mm allen and then the 4mm for the rear brake master cylinder on the OEM rear sets.

ergonomically fit them to the bike and make them comfortable, and match their knee to the tank shape for better and more relaxed riding.
@TreeK7 we will keep doing the projects for sure as we get bikes together! Thanks for the props.

Very helpful video, explained a lot of little details that helped me take the rear-sets off.
Blue is better as a rule of thumb as you don't need the propane torch each time you need to replace/remove/move components.
